My wife recently traveled alone. I arranged for her to be picked up by 17 North Limo of Mahwah at the ungodly hour of 5:00 am at Newark Airport. For those that travel often, you know that after taking a cross country red eye, all you want to do is get home and go to sleep. So, the plane is on time and My wife (with no luggage) goes to the pre-arranged outside pickup spot, but there is no driver. For anyone who has ever arrived into Newark at 5:00am, you know it's not the place one wants to be. My wife kept calling the company, who only had a voicemail on at that hour, wondering where her driver was. Anyway, long story short, she finally received a call back from the driver saying he didn't show up because he overslept. He said he would leave his home immediately, and to sit tight. An hour after the scheduled time, he finally arrives. I'm livid, and I send text messages to Marc the owner about the situation, but he never replies. I sent 7 messages over a 6 week period, and still no reply. I know this owner personally and have used him before. After 7 weeks, I I finally send a text message saying I've had enough of his lack of professionalism and remorse, so I'm disputing the charge with my credit card. Yes, this owner charged me 100% of the rate and *HE* even added in a gratuity. I got a profanity laden set of messages back lacking an apology and claiming that the driver was only 22 minutes late so it's no big deal (it was over an hour). He also said he would take me to court for theft of services if I dispute the charge, and he proceeded to make personal attacks against me and my wife. I am sure many people have used 17 North in the past without issue. Congrats. But, what really defines a business owner is how he deals with things when there is a problem because it is easy to run a business when things go right. It's when things go wrong do we really know ones business skills. I won't ever use this company again, and I caution any woman traveling by alone to be aware of what happened to --------------------- This review update is made in August 25, 2018 after reading Marc's rambling reply full of more lies. We will leave his ramblings to show just what type of person the owner is. I can prove everything I say and do. For example, our company hired 17 North to provide a free ride to anyone in Mahwah unable to get to the polling place for the November 7, 2017 election. The agreed rate was $400. Contrary to Marc's claim, he did not chase us down for weeks to obtain payment. We asked for an invoice, and on November 10, 2017 the $400 invoice was paid. I uploaded our payment receipt to the review and it appears after Marc's ramblings. As they say, get caught in one lie and your credibility is gone. As to all of the other defamatory remarks he made, we will leave it to the police and quite possibly our attorney to sort out. He thinks I will delete this review, but why? BUYER BEWARE! I was a big fan of Marc & his limo service after my first experience using him. I was referred to him by a trusted friend who was very impressed by the service she received. I felt fortunate that Marc himself made my Newark airport runs. We had a great chat on the road & I found him to be friendly & professional. Imagine my shock when I had a confirmed reservation a couple of weeks ago for another airport run (this time to JFK) AND NO ONE SHOWED UP. I tried desperately to reach Marc, or anyone with his company. I left multiple voicemails on one of his lines; for the other line, the mailbox was full. I sent him texts & emails. I never heard back from him - not at the time as it became an hour after the scheduled pick up, or in the two & a half weeks since. I had spoken with him personally just the morning before in order to give him my credit card & he assured me that all was good - I could sit back & relax. A friend & I needed to catch a flight to Albuquerque. There is only one airline that offers a direct flight & only once a day & only on certain days. Marc's deeply unprofessional & disappointing behavior could have ruined our entire trip. Fortunately, my friend has an actual professional limo service she uses &, unbelievably, they were able to step in at literally the last minute & save our trip. I recently contacted 17 North Limousine and Car Service for a pick up. I couldn't be more disappointed with the service. I strongly urge future customers to look elsewhere. My story is short but very impactful. Although I was able to get a hold of them and arrange a pick up along with a confirmation number, I decided to call back and confirm the details given the pick-up time was very early in the morning. They never called me back, despite indicating on their website that "WE NEVER CLOSE AND OUR PHONES ARE ANSWERED 24/7 BY LIVE DISPATCHERS!". I tried several times, but was continuously sent to their voice mail. Suffice to say; when the morning arrived for the pick-up, no one came. I was then forced to make last minute arrangements in order to get to the airport on time and not miss my flight. I called them and asked where the driver was? Not surprisingly, no response, voice mail again. I then followed up with an email, no response. I fully understand that mishaps may occur, but to me its how they dealt with my situation after that speaks volume about this company's character. Terrible customer service, very unreliable. Word of advice, if this is your only option, take an UBER instead. read more

I contacted 17 North on June 26th to book a limo for my wedding. Until July 24th, I had to regularly chase them via email just to get a response from them. A customer shouldn't have to keep emailing you to remind you to answer their emails -- that's ridiculous. Finally, I received a quote for a 20 passenger limo, which they said can seat 18 comfortably. When I tried to book this, they then said this could only fit 16 comfortably and tried to convince me that I really needed a party bus. So when I confronted them about their different quotes, the owner Marc asked me to call him. I did and when I called him, he rudely said that I should just email him and that he's on vacation. (You asked me to call you!) I then called the office and another man told me that Marc's right in the office. I had to chase them so many times for over a month just to get a response. The owner was so rude and they have the worst customer service. Last week, I called another company and they set me up in ONE day with a 20 passenger limo for a better price. It was quick, easy and so accommodating. Don't bother with this company. It's was a complete headache and waste of time. read more

When reserving a ride to the airport to catch a flight you want someone reliable and trustworthy. There are better limo companies out there, why take a chance? Just saying. We ordered a limo to the airport to go on a family vacation - driver arrived a few minutes late but then drove like a maniac through rush hour traffic... FYI black escalade that picked us up wasn't polished and shiny, it also had 2 big damages on the passenger side. Phone staff was outright rude - some phone calls went directly to voicemail, naturally leery I asked who to call in case there are any issues or the driver is late, I was told "if you don't trust us you shouldn't have called" - sadly it was too late to call another company. read more

I tried to use 17 North limos as my Company's go to for Car Service. Every single time I call...Always get that all operators are busy. I called and the phone rang and rang and then the owner called and said he was sorry. SO I gave them a second chance. I called for a car 2 weeks in advance, gave all the airport/airline info for an executive to be picked up. I get an email from the executive saying that the driver called her and said he was coming from JFK airport and that she had to wait 45 minutes for him to get there. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!! This company is a JOKE. Who does that????? Anyway, I'm looking for a reputable limo company that is dependable and answers the phones. Any suggestions? read more

DO NOT USE THEM! VERY UNPROFESSINAL!. I used to use 17 north limp service every Monday morning in and Friday afternoon for almost a year for rides to the airport. Marc the owner was very nice and even though his prices were very high and my company disapproved of the high rates I used them anyway. I then needed him for personal trips to the airport last year. I assumed all was paid for since he usually bills my CC the same day. I then get contacted from his office saying that a charge didn't go through. What had happened is that my CC number was stolen while away and I change the number so his charges didn't go through. Fast forward a year. I am contacted through Facebook from Marc saying that I never paid my bills. I told him that I would have to check my records to see if I had been charged and that since it was a long time ago I didn't remember. Well I guess it wasn't fast enough for him so he left me nasty Facebook messages calling my a lowlife and dead beat. I told him that I needed some time to request statements from my CC and that If It hadn't been processed that I would pay him. His proceeds to harass me and call me names once again and threatening to take me to court. Well I'm glad that I did wait since I have proof of charges being bills to my CC. I'm glad I waited and didn't pay him right away as he was bullying me to do. Marc is very unprofessional and a bully. I will be bringing my documentation to court with me. read more

Ever so disappointed with Marc & 17 North Limos. I had been very happy with the service and Marc Braccodieta has historically been fabulous! I had a recent trip scheduled with a home pickup to JFK very early Sat am for 6 people & luggage. I scheduled online as usual, but didn't initially receive a confirmation. I wound up texting Marc Bracciodieta who assured me that he would look into it. Confirm received several days later but not return confirm...ever. I trusted Marc whom I corresponded several times via email and text, he said both trips were set. Text confirm came the day before and on Saturday morning, at 3:30am for 4:30am pickup. No show. Panicked and texted, called the office, sent email. Texted and called Marc directly. NOTHING. Scrambled, was lucky one of us had a minivan and drove to JFK. NEVER HEARD from Marc, the company or anyone EXCEPT American express for TWO $365 charges - one the day before the trip and one 4 days later while I was away, which I have disputed. Then, two days before my return, I received an text confirmation for a wrong day and pickup time. So very upset and embarrassed! Horrible way to start a vacation, sad to see a local business going downhill. read more

He was always available when I needed to speak with him over the phone and was quick to respond to me via email as well. He was on time and very professional. Got a limo to transport 9 people to NYC. Excellent service prompt pick up and knew exactly where they were going to and from. We recieved a text letting us know where the limo was for pick up and a itinerary emailed before date of service saying who was getting picked up from the 1st person to the last. Very profession reservations and drivers. Definitely will use them again and refer to my friends and family. read more

17 north limos is by far one of the worst experiences we ever had the driver was not on time we almost missed our flight the driver was really annoying talking to us the whole drive asking really annoying questions and the car we got was dirty and poor condition i would not recommend this company to anyone -10 for horrible service read more
