ABC stores in this state seem like a real scam on behalf of the government, but on balance they…read moresell pretty much everything you'd expect from a liquor store this size in another state (say, Texas, where I moved from), and at similar prices. Maybe a little less variety than at, say, a Twin's Liquor in Texas, but not far off. But probably no tasting events or promotions, I'd bet. So I guess the main downside is no possibility of a liquor/wine/beer/specialty-foods superstore like Spec's in Texas, or Wine Library in New Jersey, or something like that. And the fact all the ABC stores look nearly exactly the same, like nasty old banks. I'm also surprised they open at 9AM, which is pretty early for a typical liquor store.

I thought online I saw that they have wine and beer but in the store I only saw liquor and mixers. They have a huge bourbon selection. The people weee friendly here.
