Had to ask her 3 times after the blow dry to even it out because 1 side was at least an inch longer than the other. Also they advertise $45 for women's haircut but don't tell you that it's double including the blow dry until after. Having such great reviews I expected my experience at 7 Salon to be exceptional. Unfortunately, it fell short of my expectations. The salon is nothing out of the ordinary. It is actually much smaller and cramped than I imagined. The manicure and pedicure I received was not worth the price they charge. My nails even began to chip 2 days after the manicure. Also, the manicurist I had spent the entire time complaining to me about how much she hated Miami and wanted to move back to where she was from. Her complaining took away the relaxing feeling I was looking for. I did like that the salon offered all the latest O.P.I. and Essie colors. I wouldn't recommend this salon with the obscene prices they charge. There are plenty of great salons on Miami Beach and in Miami that do not charge nearly as much and offer better services. read more

Obviously you would think I'm being particularly biased to say that 7 Salon provides a great salon experience, considering I worked there as a stylist for a year. However, I no longer work there, as I've moved from Miami to Atlanta, and felt compelled to write a review about my experience strictly as a customer. I have been a loyal client of Crystal's for 3 years, and she has seen me through many hair colors. I have sat in her chair and approached her with some pretty adventurous ideas with my hair cut and color, and she always delivers. I have trusted her with my hair and have recommended all my clients to her. If your color needs a boost, or you need a chance, big or small, I encourage you to see her at 7 Salon. It's great to be treated so special, and sit with a hot cup of tea and a few magazines while your hair is being crafted into something amazing. The massaging shampoo chairs are incredible, and the atmosphere in general is relaxed and fun. Crystal also does a mean blowout! I saw Asher the other day and he did an amazing job. I'm not a fan of paying that much for my hair, but I was in desperate need and decided to treat myself. My hair looks and feels great. My appointment was at 12:15, so I was able to order lunch and they even gave me a tray to eat on while I waited for my color to process- that was really nice. I give 4 out of 5 stars because the shampoo experience was pretty basic. If I'm paying that much for a cut and color, I'd like a really nice shampoo experience. I used to work in salons and know that that experience can make the price worth it. This goes for ALL salons I've visited over the years-- Hey! Get with it on the shampoos!! My appointment was for 2:30 and I had told them I needed to leave by 3:30. They didn't take me until 3:10 at which I just said forget it I'll come back. But the lady basically grabbed me and said no we'll have you out by 3:30. Clearly that didn't happen and I left at 3:50. I then go to show her the yelp discount and she proceeded to tell me I couldn't use it and she gave me a special. But when I saw my receipt she did not do that at all. A welcome anomaly for Miami Beach...7 Salon is casual with a friendly staff and knowledgeable stylists. I checked them out on Yelp and decided to try them while I'm here. I wanted to get a Brazilian Blowout to tame my unruly curly hair. They had just received the new "Brazilian Zero" product and decided to try it out with me since they had just received it. I was very disappointed in the new product's results but pleasantly surprised that the salon actually called to check in on me and ask how I liked the results! They take care of their clients to make sure that they are happy. They offered to redo my Brazilian Blowout with the regular product and I love it! Went here for a pedicure with Ngoc Han Chu (first name pronounced Knock). She was amazing! The front desk staff were pleasant and the pedicure area was cozy and private. They offered me coffee or water and it really was a pleasant atmosphere. I also noticed how clean everything was which was really nice. Ngoc gave a perfect pedicure and I am a pretty harsh critic when it comes to nails. Usually I can apply the polish better than most manicurists. She did it to perfection. Two weeks later and my polish is still going strong - not one chip! I also noticed they use quality products there and don't skimp to save money. I had the worst experience getting my lash extensions done. The woman agreed to do them and completely had no idea what she was doing. I'm convinced she only said yes to get paid. We go to the room, everyone who does or has had their extensions done must know that you put tape on the lower lids to prevent eyes getting stuck shut. She did not put any tape and just started applying lashes, I stopped her and reminded her, she proceeded and ignored me. I had enough and told her to stop, by the time I did I couldn't open my eyes because I had glue all over and they were stuck shut together. I asked for a fan, she did not know how to function with the fan or what direction it functioned. I left with burning eyes and my lashes stuck together, she did not care and still charged me. After days of begging me to come here, I finally caved in. I thought this would be some trendy typical sobe salon, but to my surprise it was not. I came in for a haircut and my girl came in for a pedicure. After having at least 3 hot girls shampoo, and cut my hair I also got a 5 min masssage, and then found my girl lounging in complete bliss on a huge very comfy looking couch. My hair looks great, her pedi was awesome, the staff is super nice, the place is almost spa-like I usually go to supercuts, but this place is great! read more

Went today for the first time. I opted for a junior stylist to color my roots. The senior stylists stepped in to share their recommendations and seemed to act like mentors. I thought that showed something about the environment behind the scenes, which is the foundation for the bigger picture. The prices were reasonable for the beach and the results were fantastic. The color came out great and my boyfriend complimented me on my hair immediately when he saw me. I get my roots done every 3 or 4 weeks and that doesn't normally elicit any kind of reaction from him. I've been dying my hair blonde for about 20 years and Val is by far the best colorist I've been to! No exaggeration - typically it takes a new colorist 2-3 times to get my blonde how I like it, bright and natural with no stripes, and Val got it down on the first try. Not only is her work great, but she does my color and cut in 1.5 to 2 hours where past stylist have taken 3-4 hours... who has time? Highly recommend this salon and Val! read more

I came in for a colour correction appointment with Mario and I have never been so happy with the results of my hair!! I originally followed my stylist from another salon to this one, and I can understand why. It's on a calm, nice location on the beach. The staff are all courteous, smart, and can speak elqouently enough to to get their point across as well as understand what you're trying to say. I have super curly hair and I have always had trouble finding a stylist that can give me a good cut and recommend products that work with my super fine hair. Evan nailed it the first time I went to see him. My hair never looked so good. I literally had people stop me on the street when I left the salon to compliment my hair and that has never happened before. He is a genius! He actually took the time and walked me through exactly how to use each product and how to style it each day. He gave me the every day, practical technique and the special occasion technique, for when I had a little more time and energy. My friends and co-workers all noticed a difference immediately when I changed stylists, and completely understand why I hop on a plane when I need my hair done. Evan is priceless. I was visiting Miami and in desperate need of a manicure/pedicure. My sister recommended Ronda. Wow - wish I lived here and could use Ronda regularly. She gave me the best mani/pedi I've ever had! She was very thorough and attentive, didn't rush and even recommended some products for my cracked and dry heels. I paid a little bit more than I usually pay back home, but Ronda didn't rush me in and out as is the case at my usual place. It was worth every penny.
