Beautiful venue in a convenient location in Downtown Baltimore. Also great for out-of-town guests! Although we reside in DC/MD/VA area, majority of our guests were from out of town, and we wanted to ensure convenience for them. Located in the Inner Harbor, the venue is close by the BWI airport, and right next to the venue is a hotel within a short walking distance. We had a room block with the hotel, and because of the proximity to the venue, our out-of-town guests did not need to rent a car and explored Downtown Baltimore. For guests driving to the venue, complimentary valet parking is provided the day of which was a big plus. The 1840s staff are extremely professional, friendly and accommodating, especially Stasia, who served as our main POC. She made us feel like family. It's a great venue for photos, especially the backdrop of the Fava building. The Carrollton Inn is a very lovely getting ready spot day of and place to stay on the wedding night. The Carrollton Inn breakfast is sooo good - we had to throw this in as well! Thank you 1840s for the great experience and memorable wedding day! And a special THANK YOU to Stasia!

Very nice event. . Was here for the Brew more it was indoors. With nice appetizers. 2 floor levels. Samples of beer and food. Great people, they have several booths down stairs to sit at and a sofa on the upper level. Restrooms on both levels. You need that when drinking beer. I really enjoyed my self. Good event! The three hours went by fast when you're having fun. This also included a DJ. .

The closest I ever felt to the lifestyles of the rich and famous I'm going to make it a habit to do this for myself at least once a month

I'm writing this review on behalf of my parents because they don't know how to use the Internet …read more My parents are Ghanaian and harsh critics due to our culture. Us and the Nigerians probably invented shade centuries ago. That being said, I know this place is incredible because my parents raved about it!!!! They loved it! They called me immediately after they return home from their weekend trip, and had nothing but wonderful things to say about their stay. They said the location is beautiful and not very far from where they live in Howard County so they felt well rested when they returned home. They loved their room and were huge fans of the art gallery in the common area. Talking to the gallery curator might've been my mom's favorite part of their stay. She kept talking about how beautiful the art was and how she enjoyed talking to the curator, and my mom is not even a big art person so I was surprised to hear this. My dad who loves to eat, said the breakfast was fantastic and enjoyed the multiple courses. They also enjoyed that they had the opportunity to introduce themselves and meet the other guests during breakfast, their favorite guest was a woman named Ms. Gwen who was celebrating her 86th birthday. Apparently, she was the life of the party! They also enjoyed walking around the property and the neighborhood. They didn't go to the spa (because my brothers and I didn't pay for that part). However, they said they want to go for another weekend visit next year and they'll consider checking out the spa. They also said that Ms. Sheila was wonderful and they had a fantastic time and they're looking forward to going back next year. They didn't take any pictures for me to share, but I can say if my Ghanaian parents loved this place, you'll love it too! And I have to give a shoutout to Nicaila Matthews Okome for introducing me to this place when she featured the owner, Lisa, on her podcast, Side Hustle Pro!

Located on Kent Island overlooking the Chesapeake, this is the perfect getaway. It took us about an hour to drive there from downtown (with no traffic) and was easy to find on a lightly traveled road a few miles from the main highway. The house is massive, but there are only two rooms available for guests. We recommend the Osprey room, which overlooks the bay. In the morning, you wake to a glorious sunrise on the bay. This is soon followed by breakfast carefully prepared by Maria and Ed Peffly, the owners. Each morning we had fresh fruit, and coffee followed by a main breakfast. One morning it was a salmon frittata the next is was blueberry and banana pancakes. The only down side of breakfast was having to muster uncomfortable conversation with the other couple there who were on a romantic getaway. But that is par for the course at a B+B. During the day we walked around in the nearby Terrapin State Park and explored the island. We were there in March, and the usual Kent island riff raff were not to be found. In the evenings we sat under the stars in the hot tub and let the stress slough away. We basically had the run of the house, and although there was one other couple there, we never saw them except at breakfast. The grounds were amazing and at night a herd (15 or so) deer can be seen munching away on the grass. There was a pool, but it wasn't open when we were there. They have a gym and game room that we used once (Who goes to a B&B to use the gym?) What else can I say, for $160 a night (in the off season, you get a wonderful room overlooking the bay, a great breakfast and seclusion from the real world. If I was to conjure criticisms, I would say that the rooms had a bit too much potpourri for our taste and that some of the decor was on the Laura Ashley side, but that is really being picky. This is a real gem. NOTE: I was reluctant to post this review for one simple reason--people will go to and love this place and we'll never be able to book a room again. But we liked the owners so much that we figured that keeping it a secret wouldn't be fair. Let me be frank. By people I mean you loathsome SUV driving butt cracks that make it necessary for rational people to escape DC. Please go to Disney.

To the left and right you and see picturesque views of the Chesapeake Bay. In front of you, you see a massive mansion-esk Bed & Breakfast that was built with extra #love by it's owner. Small architectural flourishes lend to the owners strong eye for aesthetic. A giant white tent 50 yards from the ceremony is where your guests will be partying, and a large stone patio with high bar tables around a small pool is where your guests will enjoy their cocktail hour. A separate small building off to the side houses fully plumbed in bathrooms with granite countertops make this luxurious experience continue in all facets and faucets! Hahahahhahaha - I'm such a dork. The perfect location for a wedding in every way. I mean... when this bed and breakfast was built, the intention was for it to also being a wedding venue. You can tell as there are ground anchors permanently placed around the pool and yard. Just a top notch place! Also Britny's Wedding gets 5 stars! :)

They had a small lot and our car, with belongings, were safe. Upon arriving we were worried what the place would look like inside. It was very nice. We were also happy to see that they had an elevator. We were warmly greeted and shown our room. The room was very clean. The bathroom was large and appeared to be marble or at least, very good stone. We had a jacuzzi and a separate shower. It was difficult maneuvering the jacuzzi as the faucets and knobs were very unique. The refrig and microwave were in the closet. We didn't find it until my husband went down to look for the fridge with complimentary water! Breakfast was very good. You ordered the night before and there were no mistakes. Breakfast alone was worth upwards of $10 each. The fruit was good and both our omelettes as well. I had the egg white and my husband - usual omelette. We shared a waffle. There was a Keurig and water available all day. We enjoyed our stay and walked into Fells Point - not a short walk (1 mile or so) but when eating fresh ice cream from the oldest market (that just opened) a walk was necessary!

My stay here was a pleasant change of pace. Warren gave me a warm greeting and noted my meal preferences. After giving me a brief download of the local area I was shown to my room. The breakfast here is great Warren puts great care into everyone's preferences whether vegetarian, vegan, or you just don't like bananas or melons like me. I have to give Inn at 2920 a ringing endorsement, and would recommend this Inn to anyone staying in Baltimore. The Inn is one of the reasons I look forward to my work trips to Baltimore. It feels like staying with good friends as opposed to being on the corporate hotel circuit. Also the jacuzzi is the greatest experience in the world when you've been on a plane for five hours!
