There's a resident cat who wanders around saying hello, which just adds to the cozy, quirky atmosphere. The place has so much character -- books tucked into every corner and that perfect "organized chaos" vibe only the best secondhand shops manage to pull off. I could spend full days in here and still not see everything. Easily one of the best bookshops I've ever visited.

I picked up an autographed copy of one book by a local novelist that intrigued me and I paid $20 for. The woman behind the counter was lovely to talk to as my wife and I paid for our books we had selected. I also enjoyed the chair that was nestled in one of the back aisles that you can use to read a passage from one of the books you may be looking to buy.

Pricing is fair. The owner is helpful and a conversationalist, so if you enjoy those aspects of bookstores you should definitely stop by. I would recommend bringing a LED flashlight. The owner has a small one, and you can use your phone, but they're not bright enough for some of the nooks and crannies. Not entirely sure about its hours - was open during the week when I stopped by but not on Sunday.

This place is really nice. Not too big that you don't know where to go or start looking at books. It has a podcast studio in the back, good amount of sitting areas, and unique art! The atmosphere is great, they make you feel welcome even when it's obvious we are tourists. If you like your coffee on the sweet side, try their Who Dat coffee- it was delicious! Book selection is good and I like that they feature a lot of minorities writers. Definitely recommend and hope to come back soon!

Museum shops are great since you can usually find local or unique gift items that have a cool story behind them. I would suggest tourists and locals check it out. Prices are well a little pricey for some things, so I would check online if the price is consistent. I loved all the vintage looking postcards and thank you notes as well as this line of fine china designed by Caskata that are absolutely stunning and fit very well with the local seafood and flora culture down here. The sales assistant was very helpful when I asked about prices and wanted to take a picture. I ended up buying an Audubon print that I'm custom framing as well as a metal fish that was crafted from steel drums and Alexa Pulitzer that I'm obsessed with. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the Quarter and need to pick up some thoughtful gifts!

Came here after a local recommendation for the first time, and came back shortly thereafter to enjoy Independent Bookstore Day. Both times, it felt like coming home. The most amazing women work here, and they will both set you on a path of enlightenment or entertainment, whatever you may be looking for. Solid recommendations that were exactly what I was looking for, even though I had only the vaguest of notions each time I walked in as to what I was even looking for. I'm always on the lookout for the next great book, and the women here keep steering me in the exact direction I need. On Bayou Road (the oldest road/path pre-dating the city) and surrounded by other great local shops and eateries. Definitely worth the visit.
