Been here a couple of times .. Taco Tuesday was great ! Yummy tacos and got them pretty quick for the crowd. Been on a Friday night had bar food like tenders and fries and all was good and fresh. This place is not meant to be fancy it's meant to be just that a backyard.. With that being said it's nice, clean, and casual. In this case a bit spiked with corn hole games (although wish they had a few more sets available) plenty of sitting and hang out area.. Bars are a bit small but tend to keep up with demand. Parking is practically a dirt road or grass so don't wear heels ladies... Wouldn't recommend going alone prob not even as a first casual date this place is meant for you to have a great time with a group of friends. We had been here before had a great time. So we came back. We opened a tab inside the bar. But then went outside. We had a server that came out and check up on us periodically. He had been keeping us refreshed with our drinks. As the night was getting closer to the end. We proceed to go inside. We played darts and the server followed us inside to continue keeping us hydrated. Well as all good things have to come to an end. I proceeded to close out our tab. I gave my wife cash to take care of the server as I felt he did awesome in taking care of us. As I'm waiting in line. The gentleman in dreads signals me to go to him. I ask to close out. He gives me my ticket. I pay out my tab and put 0 as for tip. Sign and start heading out. As we're saying our goodbye for the night to family. My wife hears my name. This guy with dreads came outside called my name out and said that I'm not allowed back to his bar as I didn't tip. On my tab. We responded to tell him that we tipped our server CASH. And it just happened to see our server and explain to that we didn't tip on our tab. As we gave him cash. And we probably won't go back to this location for this reason. Like dude who are you to do that. And for context. My tab was 96.00 rounding it up and I tip the server 20.00 cash. So mathematically I gave our server 20%. So I'm going to think twice if I want to go back. So if you want to be called out in the parking lot by the bartender with dreads because you paid the waitstaff in cash and not on your card. I found this place by using Google maps and looking for barbecue near me. I'm from Atlanta and visiting. Food was really good, mostly Mexican but made with smoked meats. Prices were also reasonable. They have a huge backyard patio which makes me think they have a big clientele though it was quiet when we visited. I'd go back. Get the smoked wings too. read more

We Checked out the 1886 this afternoon after hearing about their Bloody Mary. The garnishes were incredibly well done and very fresh and tasty. The mix is a recipe of the bartender and ranks well with some of my favorites. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I wanted to give more stars but they have a bit more work to do on the venue itself. The outdoor patio is supper nice but the interior bar lacks the same character. Word is they have been busy making improvements and more are on the way. As long as they continue with the direction it appears they are going, this will be a 5 star joint in no time! read more

My fav bar! Not many neat places to hang out in Humble, Atascocita, Kingwood area. Reminds me of my Houston Ave/Midtown days where we would bar hop and hang out in great patios. Sadly nothing resembles that in our area, making Humble 1886 even more unique and refreshing! A few nights a week they have live music and food! Steak night Wednesdays are the best! And their Taco Tuesday's are not far behind. Another perk is they are doggo friendly and their Sunday Fundays are kid friendly! The kids like coming along to watch the band and play jenga. This place is continuously growing and improving, although I really enjoy the inside dive bar look. I believe it reflects what this bar is, as it welcomes young and old and those in between. People of all classes and walks of life. I've shared some great laughs with bikers, entrepreneurs, out of town visitors and locals. My coworkers like to hang out here as well since we work less than 5 mins away. Unquestionably a great place to unwind from the daily stresses of being at work, watching games on TV or simply just enjoying the atmosphere. The staff is amazing and friendly and I always feel safe when I wonder off in there by myself. You can't have a great place if you don't have a great staff! I always feel like I'm cheating on them when I go out to other bars, and I secretly and internally judge other bars! 37 minutes ago It is not ok for white employees to make Hispanic customers feel like low class citizens and that is exactly how we felt. Very disappointing. We have been here before and this was not exactly how we felt the first time but somewhat similar. My sister felt as if the white employees made her feel as if she was being rude claiming she was being a "demeaning bitch" when all along they were making fun of her and making her feel like trash. They told her she was "being a bitch". We are very disappointed in this establishment. They signaled us out from the beginning and it was very clear. As soon as we got there they looked at us like we were different. The "manager" claims we skipped people in order to justify his unprofessionalism yet there was no one in line and the bar wasn't even busy. We have followed this bar and it's owners from the start but cannot possibly anymore knowing this is what they stand for. This incident was beyond disappointing. Not sure this was something the owners are responsible for but definitely something their employees are upholding. Food at this place was extremely good! Now the service is another thing. It was OK very lackluster but I guess it's just a small hole in the wall type of bar so it was what it was. The drink I had was OK, I ordered the rum punch. For my meal I had tacos and a friend of mine had quesadillas. Great vibes, good beer selection, and the food from the food truck was delicious. We had the "Sampler Platter", a buffalo chicken sandwich, and some micheladas. The food and drinks were delicious! We hung out in the patio area since the weather was perfect. There were a couple of "instagrammable" spots to take pics, including a nicely lit tree (gave the patio an enchanted look) and a couple of large painted wings on the walls. I came here once because my band was going to play, stage was a bit small but it was fun, after I was done I went to go sit and talk with my friends because I invited one and my other two where in the band with me, and it was VERY fun. When we got here there was a sign that stated please be patient with them they are short staffed which is fine I was a waitress for almost 10 years I understand completely. Now for the number of beers they have on tap I can understand if you don't know EVERY single one but you should be able to list a handful... just saying!! Once our drinks order was taken she asked for a card to have on file for our tab but FAILED to mention that there is a $20 charge that holds the tab open but after your purchase clears with your bank that $20 charge will come off your card. HONESTLY that's something you should explain before we get a notification from our bank that there is a $20 charge and we haven't even finished our meal. I do have to say that the pretzels w/ queso was REALLY good.
