Great historical place to have a drink. The outside says it used to be a courthouse and some of the windows near the bar look like they have bars on them, perhaps it was part jail? There wasn't a cocktail menu but the bar tender was really nice and made me a custom cocktail that was part cucumber, part blueberry. It was good. The person I went with had a Guinness, which they liked and had the proper amount of head. After we got there it looked like they were setting up for a live performance. We sat outside in the front patio. It's a nice ambiance. We didn't stay long enough for the music but saw a sign on on the door that said there was a $10 cover. We'd definitely come back. It's a good place for a drink with friendly people working there. read more

This place is literally across the street from the tattoo shop I was getting work done at so we stopped by. It looked like it was going to be empty until we walked inside and saw that the entire place was packed. There was a band playing apparently and we had no clue, we walked in while they were taking a break. We barely found a seat at the bar and were not greeted by either bartender nor did they make eye contact, it was odd. Finally the male bartender asked for our drink order then came back and said the total was $30...for two drinks, I was shocked. Without any explanation or even a hello..turns out he charged us a cover charge for a band we were clueless about...that was not a nice surprise and we ended up leaving before finishing the one drink each. Bad vibes for me and not my style of music either. Way over crowded and unfriendly, unfortunately I do not recommend this place. read more

Awesome discovery in downtown Humble. Went to have after dinner drinks and ended up staying for what we were told was music night. I thought live music? It's gonna be terribly loud; (for the place is small) and possibly boring. The bartenders were super friendly, welcoming, down to earth and professional. There was a lady who was just as friendly helping around and I was surprised to find out she was the owner. Really cool to see an owner so genuinely engaged and not give her staff an "I'm the boss shape up when I'm around" vibe. They have pub food but we didn't partake. Drinks , perfectly mixed. The music was nothing short of superb! The loudness during the love performance I was weary of was nonexistent, the musicians were just as friendly and did I say talented? Left there wanting to take up an instrument lol. Will 100% return. Parking is plentiful in front and around the bar. Give it a shot, it's a very pleasant and welcoming surprise! read more

This place use to be a Jail in the 1930's and it has kept the original cell bars which is quite interesting. There is live music there and they play those old Blues which is really smoothing when you're having a couple of drinks. Great customer service from all the bartenders especially Angie, she's very accommodating and makes amazing strong drinks. Also the owners are there as well and they make you feel so welcomed. This place is very laid back, good vibes and plenty of people to chat with. This will be my go to spot from now on. read more

Great intimate spot for live music. Service was great and drinks were cold. I would definitely come back here again.

They said they weren't interested in serving us. We came to their open mic night and the ACTUAL BAR OWNER tapped me ON THE SHOULDER. And said we weren't welcome. Two songs in and the BAR OWNER (I asked because I was so shocked at the audacity) told me that my Mexican friends weren't welcome in his bar. IN HUMBLE TEXAS???????? IVE NEVER FELT MORE UNWELCOME IN MY LIFE. We ordered with a lovely younger woman at the door, and all of the patrons were so welcoming and excited to see my friend perform for the first time IN HIS LIFE. HOWEVER the bar owner came and asked us to leave because he "wasn't interested" in hearing my friend perform. I am SO SORRY to all the lovely people I met that night who missed out on hearing my friend perform. The patrons are very welcoming, the owner however IS APPARENTLY "NOT INTERESTED" IN HEARING ANYONE ELSE PERFORM. So much for our night out!!! read more

The proprietor of this place is a jerk. He yelled obscenities at my 75 year old mother for parking in front of his business at lunch time. She is older. I'm sure she thought it wouldn't hurt at lunch time. She repeatedly apologized to him. That didn't stop him from yelling and cursing at her. He acted like a lunatic. Then ... when I told him not to talk to my mother that way. He started in on me. She shouldn't have parked there. But he could have shown a little class and asked her respectfully not to do that again. Instead of acting like the pathetic person he is. His behavior would cause me to NEVER go there. Tonight we had date night. We tried to find a place we could have fun, be entertained and be comfortable. After a few stops we found Green Oaks Tavern. We were welcomed, we listened to great music (Tony Vega) and the place was super cute. The place was small a perfect size for us on date night. The owner and staff were friendly and so were the customers. Very easy to socialize. We can't wait to hear other bands and meet new people. read more

You can't be "open till 2 AM" and decide to stop serving customers prior to those hours because you didn't want to set down your joint down (as the owner of the bar) to serve customers. read more

The good....the bar is very cool. Tons a character, no smoking, good service, live music occasionally. The bad....without warning or notice, they tacked on a $10 per person cover charge for the band that had set up AFTER we had already been there. I felt that was done in very poor taste. read more

Cool little tavern in old Humble. It used to be a jail back in the 30's and it has kept some of its original cell bars. It's an older crowd and they have a lot of regulars which can be intimidating at first but they're the friendliest people and will chat it up with you in no time. Wish they served food of some sorts but you can always bring your own or have something delivered. Live music is great! read more

Love this place cause of the live bands that play blues! Very intimate, casual dress, older crows and great prizes. Cover charge of 10 bucks. They have minimal seating up front where the band is. More seating up by the bar but certain seating there is obstruction to view band. But you have ears then there should be no problem hearing it. Hehehe Jk! Lastly, Very talented bands that sing cover songs...well at least when I was there. Will be back for sure. read more
