Soulful music bathed the dining a bar areas with a relaxing ambience. The food was just as pleasing. We ordered boudin egg rolls as an appetizer. The boudin was mild and the sauce was subtly complementary. I got the "Come and Get It" burger with fries. It was tasty and filling. My daughter was equally satisfied with the Creole redfish entree that she ordered. A good restaurant option for Friday dinner. It's an unusual restaurant, it being part of a gated community. The gates are open to park and anyone can eat there. It's a small venue but it has a fun ambiance with the music selection and karaoke option. You can rsvp ahead of time or walk in. There's alcoholic beverages, burgers, salads, and entrees, as well as dessert. I tried the vanilla martini and the grilled salmon. The person I went with had a burger and switched the meat to chicken. The fries were good and the good was filling with feeling overly stuffed. The service is slow but we didn't mind since we were having fun with the music and the staff was very friendly and doing their best. I'm so happy Maria is the new manager ! She has worked so long to get to this position and is well known with the community. I am a huge blue cheese lover and for some reason they have a blue cheese vendor that gave them like fake blue cheese and she went and found me blue cheese and went above and beyond, the food quality is great here and the menu has gotten better the lettuce in my Cobb was super fresh and the hard boiled eggs were cooked perfectly and it was so big it could feed two people the boys loved the wings they are perfectly cooked and we love the mocktails and I love the drunken cherry and the Cesar with shrimp was good I've posted plenty other times good folks here the vibe is relaxing by the lagoon. read more

Food was decent, service was horrible! We went for a time together as a family before Father's Day. Ordered drinks and everything, our waitress was so focused on her other table of ten plus. She didn't care about us. Took 19 minutes to get my old fashioned, my pregnant wife's mocktail, and then took over 25 minutes to get our food after it was ordered. The pasta is a joke. Hardly any meat and noodles, it was all Sauce. Manager wasn't any help at all, she made up every excuse in the book on how the waitress didn't serve our table correctly. This is the side lagoon side bar and grill in America'. This place has a really nice atmosphere. The restaurant is public but the lagoon is not. They have some really good food choice and they host different themes throughout the month. The drinks are good my favorite this was the boudin Eggrolls and red snapper plate. I've been to this Blue Lagoon Bar and Grill a few times and I've tried to give it another chance, but still unsatisfied. I begin with food choices that are very limited, food it's dry, unseasoned, definitely not worth the price and don't ask me about them watered down drinks. How can a restaurant serve hot bottle beers and when asked for another beer they brought me a cold glass. So if you haven't been to this location you ain't missing anything. I am 70 years old. This restaurant experience was the worst in MY ENTIRE LIFE. There were 6 of US for lunch (5/24/25), the server made at least 72 trips to our table, which on the surface may sound attentive. BUT no, the trips included the spoon, then the fork, then the knife, the another spoon and fork and knife, then a napkin, then a coffee cup, there was no de-calf coffee, so on and so on.....a couple of our meals were ordered and the server left. returned to take 2 more orders, and received two at a time with a long delay, the sixth person in our group NEVER received food, any food. nothing.... It's way worse than I can write about. the manager was contacted and asked" do I need a chair, will this be long" After explaining the many issues, The manager left but had to be searched for to find out what would happen with the bill. The entire bill was waived. Note, we arrived around noon, lunch time, the place was empty. That should have been the red flag. Now I will place responsibility on the server and the trainers who clearly did a poor job. Best of luck, I hope you have a better experience. read more

I was heading to another burger place in the area and saw this restaurant on yelp that, according to reviews, has a really good burger, so I stopped in. According to the waitress, they first opened earlier in the year, then closed....and have now been re-open for 3 months, but have ongoing renovations. They immediately seated me outside where they have 11 tables, some covered, some not. The restaurant is upscale/fancy on the inside, like a mountain lodge. Seating is currently only outside though due to the renovations. This place has a lot of potential since it is pretty unique. Luckily, the outside seating has a nice view. Only 1 problem. The flies. The Texan burger seemed to be a popular order. So thats the one I chose and I added lettuce and tomato. They also serve salads and several chicken items, namely variations on tenders. They have a bar inside the restaurant, but for the 2 drinks I ordered, they walked over to the beach bar adjacent to the lagoon to make them. Its supposedly a full bar though and drinks on the menu are not the full list of what they can make obviously. The burger itself was decent. It was probably a frozen patty but not bad. The most memorable ingredient was the bacon, as other yelpers indicated. It was really good and this is probably what is very high quality, not the patty. The buns have been switched out recently and they're just white buns now...no longer brioche. For 9.95, luckily the burger comes with a side of wedges. The potato wedges are seasoned, but not your typical potato wedges. So that was nice. I ordered 2 frozen drinks, their pina colada and strawberry watermelon daiquiri. They are both purchased mixes, and the pina colada was easily my favorite since the strawberry watermelon one tastes artificial. The flies are not really a problem until your food comes out and then they swarm. My table had about 1-4 flies at any one time. They have dynatraps set up and plugged in. But those only probably catch mosquitoes and don't seem to do anything at all for flies. If flies are a deal breaker, definitely sit inside when they open that area. Another unusual thing you will see here is atypical silverware and plates. Your food comes out in a plastic clear to-go container, your silverware is silver, but its plastic. To me, they have a nice place, but they do some things cheaply. The build-out of the restaurant is also wacky. You have to pass through the prep area to get to the restrooms. Seems like a poor design to me. With all these negatives, I have to give it only 2 stars, but this is a place I can see myself coming back to just to enjoy the pina coladas and view. read more

I feel like this could be a really good place, if the food is addressed. Right now, its a weird mix of high end and bar...which is bad bar food at "grill" prices. *The portions were very small for the price paid. *The bruschetta appetizer was not very good at all. It was just a lot of basil on top of overcooked French bread. It needed more moisture. *The southwest egg rolls were teeny tiny, and they tasted like prefrozen appetizers. They weren't even really egg rolls because it was more like pastry dough, not fried rice paper. *The Ceasar dressing was watery and bland *The French fries were soggy and the seasoning was sweet; not expected at all on fries. ....oh and the mimosas were freaking $8 each. Haha! In the picture posted, you can see that the appetizer plates were the size of my "small girly" hand. The egg roll halves that you get 4 of, were the size of my pinky finger. Not at all what I thought it would be. We closed on our first home so we decided that we would celebrate here. I made the reservation several weeks in advance and received confirmation so as soon as we left the title company we went straight to the restaurant. My husband actually dropped our daughter and myself off because he was going to swing by the sales office to grab our keys to the house. When we got to the door a lady opens the door and asked could she help us. I told her we had a reservation and she says "oh go down to the lagoon" I was a bit confused but I figured she knew what she was talking about so we walked all the way to the lagoon only to be told that the restaurant was where we had just left. Once we made it back I asked the lady what was going on and why she sent us to the lagoon. She then informed me that the restaurant WAS CLOSED because of damaged from the snow storm. I was livid to say the least!!! I was wearing an all white pant suit with high heels and this lady says I thought you wanted to hang out by the lagoon. Anyway I asked to speak with a manager, when she came out she apologized and tried to explain what could have went wrong. She also gave me the district managers card. Closing Celebration RUINED for sure. A couple of weeks later I contacted the district manager. She was very nice and very very apologetic for us not being called when the restaurant closed and for the other lady's terrible attitude. She invited us back out on her and said we could even do some type of toast for the closing and she also said that since we were not residents of Balmoral she would reserve us a cabana at the lagoon so the we could have the full experience. We decided to go back on Mother's Day for brunch. After we were seated I ask our waiter was she available. So she comes to the table and introduces herself and disappears. No toast no nothing lol.They only had about 5 items on the menu and no drinks available other than can soda. My buffalo chicken wrap was Ice cold so all I could do was eat the potato chips the came with it. I was so disappointed with the entire experience I didn't have the energy to say anything. Our waiter brings us the ticket so I informed him that it should be covered per district manager. Wouldn't you think she would have told him that as soon as she left out table? Anyway I was just happy to leave. The most shocking thing was how the district manager acted like she suddenly had no clue what was supposed to be happening and pretty much ignored us!! I don't normally do reviews, but I felt the need to do one on this place as most the 5 star reviews are coming from the silent partners such as Uri and ADL (April) in addition to other staff members. So I don't feel this yelp review is accurate at all. I give it 3 stars because it all comes in take out containers and plastic utensil. The menu is limited. it's beer and wine only and you have to buy a whole bottle of wine and cannot buy it by the glass. The food however is delicious and the portions are large. I like the place, despite its shortfalls its still worth going too and giving a try for take out style bar food. read more

Came here for the first time a few weeks ago to celebrate a friends birthday during their soft opening. It was busy and recognizing they still had a few kinks to work out food and service took a while, but once we let them know that we were under a timeline to get to next stop they made sure all hands were on deck to ensure we left on time. Food was delicious and the manager Monica was super helpful and even comped us a bottle of wine for the slight delay in the beginning. Came back today for brunch with a friend, food and drinks and service are on point. Glad to have something different in the neighborhood.
