I've always expressed my love for Korean grills like Bulgogi Garden or even the more mainstream Yakimix. But when it comes to meeting my friends and we are on a tight budget (probably two to three days away from pay day), our go-to place is in Tomas Morato's 1970 Grill.
PROS: They offer a big plate of meat that you can grill on your table, and I just love handling my own food that way. But the real star here is the unlimited sides, which are at least five kinds, including kimchi, and are really delicious; Their soybean paste is my favorite; 1970 Grill have this authentic Korean feel inside; It's never crowded. Plus they're open until 6 in the morning, perfect for people with drunk munchies.
CONS: It's not as cheap as other places that offer unlimited samgyeopsal, but paying 600 pesos for our group of 4 (and we were bursting-at-the-seams full) isn't bad at all.
TL;DR: 1970 Grill is my go-to place when eating out with friends. read more
