I'm staying at the hotel across the street. I went for a quick salad. Quite honestly the worst salad I've ever had. The lettuce is brown, the chicken obscenely over cooked yet cold and has no flavor. It also tastes old. I am sure it was cooked hours ago. There is nothing in the salad other then iceberg lettuce, a few pieces of tomato, chicken and cheese. This is a side salad, not an entree salad. Maybe the wings are better? I'm a chef. I stand by the principal that if it's on your menu, do it great. Very disappointing. Also...pulled a long hair out of my food. read more

This is definitely a hole in the wall. They say they have the best food. Well the food here was overly salty. The lemon pepper wings were good but salty. The old bay wings were good but salty and the fries were good but salty! The customer service was great! The atmosphere was nice. But if you are looking for quality food this isn't it. I was happy with all of the options and their overall menu but my dr will not be happy with this visit. read more

A lot of locals eat here for the wings, many say they are the best in the valley. they should change the designation to restaurant though, many miss is when searching on yelp don't believe the comment about rude service, the only thing is is that they 'don't suffer fools' - treat them with respect or get out and go to a chain restaurant. read more

I'm a big fan of the food from the 19th Hole. They have baked sandwiches like the Caddy Shack used to have if you're from Wheeling and I love the crinkle cut fries and the wings are awesome. I don't get to drink there much cause i have kids, but it looks like a fun place to hang out. read more

Some of the worst customer service I've experienced. I ordered a beer, and upon first taste, knew it was old. What surprised me, though, was just how old: over a year! The "drink by" date printed on the bottle was from over a year ago. Closer inspection made me realize that the label on the bottle was even the company's older design, further proof of just how old this was! I quickly returned to the bar to state my findings and ask for a new beer. The bartender denied countless times that it was an old beer, and stated many more times that they simply do not serve old beer. Each time I responded with fact and evidence in my hand. This, unexpectedly, resulted in the bartender screaming and shouting at me in front of the whole bar, going as far as calling me a "crybaby" before finally giving me a new beer. The 19th Hole is the quintessential dive bar-dark, loud, and friendly. If you're not allergic to those kind of places, you'll find some of the best wings (and fried food in general) in the Valley. The wings are AWESOME. Medium has great flavor and nice heat. Black and blue is new and tasty. The beer is 32.5 degrees and the staff is fun and accommodating. You are in Wheeling - nobody makes friends with salad so belly up and get eating. read more

Maybe not my style, but this bar does have a good friendly staff. It is definitely a dive bar for the locals. Drink prices were a bit on the higher side and parking was a trick to get in and out, but a full lot shows the locals enjoy coming here. I may try this place again time to time if I have a friend or two to go with, but it won't be a regular place for me at this point. read more

Pretty odd place. It's basically a retro fitted garage. Still has the garage door on the front. Once inside, the garage look is gone. Nothing fancy inside. Pretty good sized bar and a handful of high top tables. Beer is only in bottles, I prefer draft, but they have a nice selection. Wings, that is what this place does. Best wings I've ever had. Nice crunchy thick breading. Sauces are amazing. I recommend the black and medium. Only thing I don't care for is the order style. You have to go to the bar to order and get more beer. This place sucks. I went in with my friend to watch Monday night football, thinking it would be a good place to watch the game, and wow was I wrong. I ordered 2 bud lights and it was close to halftime so I ordered a 3rd, only to be told I was cut off. I asked why she said I was stumbling, what a joke. She didn't like me because I was from out of town. So the place just doesn't like tourists. I guess my money ain't green whatever. I ordered a Philly cheesesteak as well, and it was not Good. This place is a joke. DO NOT go there unless you would like a rude bartender and some bad food!!!! read more
