In May, when we arrived at our lakehouse and found it flooded with six inches of water, we were shocked, overwhelmed and didn't quite know where to turn. A neighbor recommended we call 1st Call Restoration, and when they arrived 15 minutes later, everything changed for the better. Now, when walking though our newly remodeled home, it is hard to even remember how bad things looked when we arrived at our lakehouse that Sunday afternoon. In a customer service company such as 1st Call, people are what make the difference. It all starts at the top with their owner Tim. He was there that Sunday afternoon working right along with the cleanup crew through the worst of the mess. He took time to talk with us, giving us advice, letting us know what to expect, and keeping us calm. In the weeks that followed, Aaron and his crew did an unbelievable job with the necessary demolition, sanitizing, and cleanup. We then met Shane, who managed the subsequent remodeling work. Shane did an outstanding job assisting us with design decisions, getting necessary materials/supplies and supervising the work being performed by Juan and his crew - a very talented team of craftsmen who do high quality beautiful work. Throughout the whole project, we heard from Tim, Aaron or Shane almost daily with status updates. We are extremely satisfied with the completed project - which was actually completed two weeks ahead of schedule! We cannot thank 1st Call enough for all their quality work and assistance, and we cannot give them anything but the highest rating/recommendation. My wife and I are from Arlington. We decided in September to by our retirement home in Tyler. We were planning on moving in on February because I had not retired yet. In January, a cold front came and our water heater had a busted water line, flooded our home. I called a restoration company to come out and in a week had it completed. Then State Farm suggested 1st Call and they informed me that it still was not dry. 1st Call saved us from moving in our retirement home with mold. Their folks that helped out, Sally, Grant, Noel,Stayton, Rose, and David all helped out on getting my house back to the way it was. Every individual who I have dealt with has been top notch. Water damage from leaky tubing going to my refrigerator developed a hidden leak and by the time we became aware of it it had done extensive damage. First Call was here immediately and began the mitigation process. Adam Morrow was the lead on the mitigation and was so very helpful and did a wonderful job. This happened May 25th and our insurance company has been dragging their feet in giving their approval for the restoration until 3 days ago. In the mean time Heather Davis has been a wonderful champion and has been so very helpful as has Bryan Miller. I'm not sure who Aaron is but we had Tyson and Tim. I would insist on whoever considers this company to look the other way. My house was ran into by a car in july and we are still having issues with them today it is now September. First, let me start by saying we were always expressing our appreciation to them and were insistent on during our part for a smooth a seamless process. However, that was not our reality. In the beginning it was great, but I will say that once they get your money it goes downhill quickly. For starters, the guys they had working on our house said they learn everything they knew by being maintenance at an apartment complex so who knows how reputable these guys are. Now I don't want to come down to hard because the guys were nice, and we even showed our appreciation to them and brought them so beverages we left in our home for them to have on their next trip back. Well guess who decided he was going to take those beverages for himself, Tyson decides to scoop something up out of my home I never even offered to him. He was not there doing the work with the guys! He told my husband after the fact of him taking it that he took it but we did not make a fuss of it because we were already going through so much and could not afford the energy with our dog being killed, kid being hit by the truck that ran through, kids needing therapy being homeless and everything else in between. When we move into our home they said the work was done yet half the house had no electricity, we had no hot water, the garage door was not complete or working, and the panel was mislabeled. We reached out to Tyson, and he swears up and down he knows there is hot water because he checked, well I was here the day he apparently checked and he did not. It took them several days to come out and fix things and come to find out it was his fault he broke the water heater because he didn't let it fill up (his words) before turning it on. As far as the garage door goes it is September and we are still having to deal with them. Tim reaches out asking about the release of funds from the lienholder, we advised the work was not complete (i.e garage door and send videos of its function). He sends Tim out and he comes out initially trying to blame us with his phone out as if to paint some narrative that we were lying or being difficult. Mind you I am not even mentioning the panel, but I have children and I don't need a 3 to 4 inch gap in my garage door for many reasons! Anyone or anything could have easily gotten in. Not to mention how unsafe the door was if you even pressed the button it made loud popping noises hardware was falling down I mean how dangerous is that! After admitting his fault (which he have a long record of him admitting to multiple things being his fault after we call him out!) he then proceeds to (passive aggressively) threaten us with them taking out a lien if they don't get their money, and then pushes us to constantly sign a wok completion contract BEFORE THE WORK IS COMPLETE. THIS ISN'T THE FIRST TIME THEY HAVE DONE THIS, WHEN WE FIRST MOVED BACK IN AND DISCOVERED ALL THE ISSUES THEY DID SO THEN AS WELL. I'M AFRAID HAD WE SIGNED THAT THEN, WE WOULD BE SCREWED NOW! The only reason they even responded to us now (because we reached out to Tyson immediately) is because the lienholder isn't releasing funds until the work is done. If you don't want to be bullied, harassed, took advantage of or caused emotional distress steer clear away from this company. I've only touched on a few things up until this date but I promise you hiring them would be mistake, and if you do get yourself a lawyer to facilitate the entire process for you. They are shady at its finest! read more

1st Call Restoration came quickly when we called about a leak. They did a great job containing the area, removing all damage and setting up fans and dehumidifiers to dry everything up. Everyone we dealt with at the company was very professional. I would highly recommend them. read more
