In all honesty I haven't been to many welding and metal fabrication shops in my life. I was a…read morelittle hesitant to call around because I didn't know exactly what I needed, so I figured my son, and I would start by finding the nearest one and just go and ask someone. It didn't start off well. We went through Google and started driving around to various shops around Broward County from West to East. After a half a dozen tries only finding a bunch of closed shops, we stumbled upon Florida Welding located in Plantation, and I'm glad we did. We had a small but unique project my son needed for work. He is a Polynesian fire dancer and needed to create a new torch for his show's intro. We met the owner at Florida Welding, and he made my son and I feel right at home immediately. We could tell the pride he takes in his shop when he showed us around. They do everything you could dream up with metal. We saw handrails, fencing, truck accessories, and even an awesome grill and smoker. We also learned some new things about the metal fabrication business too. The owner not only took the time to understand our needs, but also helped improve upon our design saving us valuable time and money. He told his crew what we were looking to do, and without hesitation they stopped everything to help us. I was surprised. We expected to wait a week or two, but they got working on it right away. His crew went the extra mile putting it together so quickly and much better than we hoped for. Within a half hour they completed it and at a fraction of cost and aggravation of us trying to do it ourselves. I would totally recommend them. Don't drive around aimlessly like we did; you should check these professionals out first. They'll treat your job like it's for family. From all the work we saw around the shop, even two guys like us that didn't know much about this stuff can tell they are amazing at welding and metal fabrication. We wanted PVC fencing and that can be a bit expensive, especially for the amount of footage we needed. I stumbled upon First Class Fence and Rail through the Coral Springs Facebook page actually. I cannot tell you how happy I am that I joined that group. Since joining I have found some wonderful business/people to get services I needed done in my property and being satisfied with them. Makes me happy to be able to support our local businesses. As you can imagine lots of people ask about fences in the page and I always saw Rebecca answering in a very knowledgeable and detailed manner so I thought to contact her and have her come out and give me a quote. She came a couple of days later, measured (it was raining I remember) and gave us a very comprehensive estimate just a day later. We decided to hire them to do our fence. She came to have the contact signed and get the first deposit. We did it outside as per her request, keeping safe distance and wearing masks. She explained in detail the whole process. This was towards the end of July. I am not going to lie the whole process took a little longer than I was expecting. When she sat down with us to sign the contact she alluded that it normally would take about six week, but because of Covid and the whole pandemic situation, materials were very scarce and they were not able to start work until December 7th. Rebecca was great at keeping us informed every step of the way. Every couple of weeks she would send us an email or call us to update us on the situation. She was on top of it all throughout. When Work finally began I was expecting a crew but it turned out to be just one person, Allan, doing all the work. I was very impressed on how fast and professional he was. The job is impeccable! I could not be happier. I now have a beautiful fence that will last for many years to come. I would not hesitate to recommend this business to anyone needing a fence. First class service for sure.
