They came out the same day and told us what the problem was. He texted me a quote and I gave him an ok to do the work. He texted he would be out that afternoon and was a no show. Texted he would be out first thing the next morning, but again a no show. Did not return my calls or texts. Meanwhile, we had water running down the street for days. Absolutely horrible!! Paul, the owner never answered my texts, hardly ever showed up to take care of emergencies, like a heavy vine fallen and torn away from my wall and his helpers did not know what or how to take care of the problem. Paul was nasty to work with, and it was very difficult to converse with him. His brother quit early on to go out on his own I believe. The last time his helper was here, not Paul as I needed to talk with him because he would not answer my texts, left a pile of dead leaves in the corner of my backyard, and did not clean up any of the leaves in my bushes for awhile. When I text Paul he said they'd come next service in two weeks, I said no I already paid cash for the job and need it done now or to reimburse me, neither has happened as of this time and Paul will not answer any of my texts. I had great experience from the moment the crew arrived. They were efficient, professional, knowledgeable, and installed a rebate eligible irrigation controller for me. They also fixed a few irrigation connection issues. In less Thant 30 minutes after 2 Brothers arrived. I no longer have to tap tap tap and use a flashlight in the garage to start and stop my system if it rained or was too cold, etc. Now I watch TV and let the system decide when to water based on, soil, temperature, wind, moisture/saturation etc. Its all controlled from my phone. I love getting paid to save money and having a great team of professionals from 2 Brothers install it for me made the whole experience easy and actually fun. read more

I made an agreement to have my sod removed a barrier put down and Stones put on top of the barrier. They did not do that. A large portion of my yard does not have a barrier underneath the stones. I contacted them about this and they said "too bad you signed off on the job " the problem was to sign off on the job I would have had to go over there and dig up all the rocks to see if they had actually done the job that they said they had done. I didn't find out until a couple weeks later that they hadn't done what they said they were agreed to do. Grass was growing up through the rocks and I discovered at that time that they hadn't put down the barrier material between the ground and the rocks. In the time since my last review of this company, the owner has threatened me with legal action for expressing my opinion and sharing my experience with this company. In addition, he has failed to return the gate key for my property, even though I have asked three times and he agreed to return it. A serious business person would have already returned my property without the need for reminders. This is a public request to Mr. Fields to do the honorable thing and return my gate key as he promised to do. With regard to my original rating of 2Brothers, I am prepared to offer photographic evidence and eyewitness testimony that will make clear my evaluation of services was true and accurate. These guys are seriously awesome. Not only did they come in with the lowest quote, they really transformed my overgrown dirt yard and tamed a bush that was taking over my house. Paul was really on top of staying in touch for planning and even helped take down an unsafe porch in the back that wasn't originally planned to be done. Nice job, guys! I was referred to this company by a friend, she said something along the lines of, "You need to meet the guy running this company, his name's Paul. He's definitely a character, but you'll like him, and he's a super hard worker, reasonable rates." Just so happened, we had some work to do on the front and backyard, so I used Yelp's Request a Quote feature to introduce myself, and get an estimate. He responded within the hour and, the next day, Paul and his dog lovin' helper bee, LaRry, showed up and scoped the scene. Paul was quick to note some aspects of my current landscaping situation that were, shall we say, numbskullish. "That tree's probably not gonna make it, there isn't enough sunlight," "You gotta get rid of these rocks, they look cheap because, well, they are cheap," "If I were you, I'd get rid of this bush, and this bush -- hell, all of 'em, you should open up the yard, make it clean." Fast forward a few weeks, Paul and LaRry arrived yesterday, an hour early (not complaining) and got to work on ripping out all of those bushes, reordering and shaping the decorative rock, and trimming a tree that was encroaching on the neighbor's property. Lickety-split, the yard was transformed. I enjoyed working with both of them, and we're formulating a plan of attack on the back, hopefully prior to springtime. Response was quick very knowledgeable about trees shrubs and landscaping. Previous landscaping company trimmed my trees and plants incorrectly. So I appreciated the education 2 brothers gave me to help myself in maintaining from here on. Was on time, worked fast and cleaned up porches and garage. I've used 2 Brothers twice now, once just recently and once last year. They did really good work trimming back the overgrown bushes in our yard, pulling up a large, dying butterfly bush and a young oak tree that unfortunately had self-selected a bad spot to grow in our yard. Paul is one of the owners and the guy I usually communicate with. He knows so much about plants, pests, and landscaping in our area. He's given me really good advice about dealing with piñon scale and things like that. He takes pride in arriving on time and doing a thorough job, and he and his friendly crews always leave our yard looking beautiful. And they do it for a good price. He actually charged me less this year than last, after asking me what he had charged last time. That's honesty! I sure appreciate it. read more

Update: 11:30am same day as review. I received a refund with a nasty message. Paul I tried contacting you and talking about this as soon as this happened. Your comments are invalid and we have full proof where of your false allegations to offer us services or resolve the problem. You yelled at me and told me I didn't know what I was talking about and stormed off and then as you were almost to my gate turned around and tried to play good guy "we can't work this out?" I tried from the beginning rather than stopping payment on my credit card. If you want to continue to do this I can take more measures. If you don't like the review then change how you do your business! Unfortunately we cannot leave a positive review. My husband and I wanted to invest in our property, clean it up for resale and leave it to what we thought was a professional company. We had scheduled a full back yard clean up and then our sod installation. The day of our back yard clean up, they arrived at 7:30am when originally we were told 9:30am, which wasn't a problem entirely other than not knowing who is in our back yard and being so obnoxiously loud with all kinds of profanity. We felt bad for our neighbors. We ended up doing some of the work on our own to cut costs prior to clean up day. Fast forward, our sod was delayed and delayed over a week or so. Claimed it was due to the snow. We asked if our back yard would be given a once over before sod day due to debris (rocks mainly that were blown into what was our grass area) from the time we had got the clean up done to sod day. We were told they would blow everything out again on sod day and it would be prepped and ready. Sod day comes they are head again early, and sure enough my husband looks out and says "I thought they were going to clean up the area once more so the sod is laid on clean surface?". Well our sod is down, looks great we are happy to have grass. That is until we get the bill. Normally when you say you'll send the invoice and collect payment you allow the customer time to review the invoice. No instead we were charged for things that were not fully done. The weeds in our front and back yard were not gone like we were invoiced for. I made a couple attempts to contact Paul and no no response and then out of the blue two weeks later I get a call he's around the corner and wants to check out the grass. Phone issues happened so he couldn't hear my next question of why we were billed incorrectly? He blatantly told my husband and I they didn't get all the weeds and he'd send me a number to a weed spraying guy. Well he shows up and looks at the grass and I go into how the job was not finished if he was going to charge me that amount for such a detailed job. $300+ for a back yard clean up in which they blew out the leaves, pulled very little weeds and cleaned up some bushes is way too much money in my book. And not to mention we did our front yard ourselves which was included in the original quote and on clean up day he said oh someone did those so I don't have to. Well then that should be less money we have to pay as its less work. So I'm standing in my back yard going back and forth with Paul and instead of trying to do what's right and satisfy what would have been a returning customer he insisted on yelling at me, telling me I don't know what I'm talking about, how to run a business, how they did everything and he's got pictures of nothing there. I said I have pictures as well with time stamps. He started to storm off once he said I wasn't getting any type of refund and then turned around and said oh we aren't going to work this out? Oh no ok cool. After I tried doing just that. I walked inside and he left. From a business woman's perspective there is a way to handle situations and disrespect is not one of them. Paul is very unprofessional and beyond rude. We spent close to $4,000 like I said to invest in our home for resale purposes and we are left with nice grass and extra money wasted. I'd also like to add I have pictures from the afternoon after our clean up was done of a bucket full of weeds I have removed with a shovel instead of pulling because of my back. So I find it so funny someone has the nerve to tell me a job was done completely when I myself went in after and did more of the unfinished job. This was one of the worst landscaping experiences I ever had. Paul told me how good he was and how he would clean up my yard better than anyone else for $250.00. All he did was blow debris into my plants and left other places untouched. I emailed him and heard nothing back. He told me the clean up was $250.00 without a time limit , he would work until done but after that it was $100.00 an hour! He spent 2 hours and then told me he had another job. He charged more then $100.00 for nothing. All his reviews are fake written by friends or relatives, don't hire him you will be sorry. Paul's response to me was aggressive and accusatory of having too high of expectations but expecting someone to do what they promised is not expecting too much. I have hired many people claiming to be landscapers who know very little about landscaping and don't want to do the heavy physical labor needed to do landscaping.
