She loves watching cooking shows, but has trouble walking and isn't the most adventurous eater. We've been to all the nice restaurants in Lexington that aren't too "weird". During my search for someplace new, I stubbled on the BlueHen Chefs' Yelp page. I was a little hesitant to talk to them, but scheduled a call anyway. They are fantastic! Soooo, easy to talk to and they LISTENED to what I wanted. The whole list of what my mom doesn't like, lol, and the bucket list dishes she wanted to try. They sent me a sample menu that looked good and I tweaked it a bit and added more courses. The result was a once in a lifetime meal for Mother's Day. Every dish was better than the one before it! I travel a lot and have tried many, many different things. I was blown away by how good everything was. We had a very eclectic menu that I thought would be challenging, but they had no problem. I can say that their crab cakes were better than I've had in Baltimore, their lobster risotto was better than Gordon Ramsey Steak, and their key lime pie was better than in the Florida Keys! The portion sizes were just right, too. Overall, I couldn't be any happier that I took the first step and talked to them. I can't express enough how good the food was and how comfortable they are to have in your home. They made my mother feel like a queen for a day. P.S. Your meal will consist of an appetizer, entree, and dessert. I try to make each meal tailored to you as much as possible. So, I will ask you what are some of your likes and dislikes when it comes to meat, seafood, and dessert. I will use this information to create your menu. I will go ahead and purchase the ingredients a couple of days before your dinner. That way, I am able to prep some of the things that will take longer. You can just reimburse me the food cost the night of your dinner. Cash is best! But I also accept Venmo, PayPal, and CashApp. I will use all of my own pots, pans, plates, and silverware so you will not have to worry about a thing. I will just need your kitchen and your appetite!
