Which is a third party company where you can book motel/hotel rooms around the world. The front desk clerk informed me that you can almost always find a better rate if you can the motel/hotel directly. And even if the motel doesn't beat the internet rate with Expedia, they will probably match it. The room itself was a 2 queen size beds. The room was fairly clean. Nothing negative to say about it. They offered breakfast in the morning but I didn't up leaving before breakfast. I wouldn't be opposed to going back here again.

Even offered us to stay past the checkout time no charge and to keep the breakfast out longer for us. Room was spacious, alarm clock even allowed me to charge my phone since I had forgotten my wall plug adapter. Plan on buying same unit for my downstairs basement room. Tv channels were the clearest of any I've seen in any hotel. My only complaint would be that the showers had barely any water pressure, and that by 10am the hot water tank seemed empty, but quite possible due to it being -30 degrees Celsius outside. We arrived without a reservation, but she was able to accommodate us no problem! The room was nice and spacious, super clean and up to date! I slept lap well on the comfy bed, my husband didn't but that was because I was sleeping so well I snored and woke him up. I sept through breakfast but my husband said it was great! He had an Omelet and bacon and toast and liked the coffee. He brought me a tea and or was nice as well. The shower was glorious with good pressure and lots of hot water! Bonus points for large refillable bottles on the wall that cuts back on plastic waste! Which is super important to me. When we were leaving our room the housekeepers were in the hallway a couple rooms down from us and I didn't hear them at all when we were in our room and they were so nice and friendly! We waited in the comfortable chairs in the lobby for our ride, the chairs are so comfortable. Thank you so much for the nice stay! I slept for over four hours when she came back and found a bed bug laying right on her pillow! We called front desk and housekeeping came and confirmed what we already knew. They put our clothes in bags and moved us to another room on the first floor (possibly moving them with us?) and comped the stay but I still will never set foot on that property again!

It's the only place on the river to congregate and get food, drinks and a beach by boat, or driving. Despite my review, I know it's not going anywhere and its business won't be affected...even though it should be. Today I went there with family visiting from the Caribbean. The hours said "open 12-8pm" which I thought was great because my brother had asked me to get a sweater for him that reps the business. I drive out there, it's about 25 minutes from where I live, gate is open but all the doors are closed. So myself, my wife, and visiting family say "okay, we'll grab a couple of chairs from the deck, have a drink and wait till someone comes" We had a cooler with us from earlier adventures but we love the Fort's signature drink, the sunset and we had told our guests about them. We were all pretty jacked to have one on a rare sunny September weekday. The owner, who I think is named Trevor Miller, shows up, marches up to us and immediately starts telling us that we can't use chairs from the deck and can't drink alcohol there. He didn't ask us anything, didn't care about our intentions, just straight up told us to beat it. If he had have said "hey guys, we normally don't let people use our chairs and we don't usually let people use our chairs, but are you intending to stay till we open?" Or anything aimed at understanding our intentions, he would have sold a sweater and a round of drinks. Instead, he got four people who said "well that was not something that made me want to support this place" 1. Make sure your business hours are reflective of the reality (especially in seasonal business) 2. You get more bees with honey (I got my brother a whitewater sweater instead and bought a 24 of tall boys..cause they seem to appreciate my money) 3. the fort can suck it cause I will not be back and neither will my family

We stayed at Hillside Inn because it was in a good location and was affordable- 70$ CAD for the night. The room was very quaint and clean. The bed was comfortable- however, my one criticism would be that the pillows were NOT comfy! All in all, it was a really good motel!
