I have a friend in another building that's going through hell with some obnoxious neighbors. It's a crapshoot. We're living in a hive so you must be considerate of your neighbors. My neighbors are nice, it's still pretty quiet, the hallways are still ugly, the landscaping is improving. Lots of new plants and shrubs, mulch! Just like downtown.

The pool burns your skin because the idiots don't know how to take care of it. The parking lot will give you a flat tire. The elevators break down monthly and it took them a year to fix the one. The list goes on. It's a terrible place to live and you should absolutely never consider this shit hole.

The apartment has lots of natural light and closet space! The whole complex is super clean, renovated and up to date! There is a great gym with a huge selection of fitness equipment. I can't wait till summer to tan by the pool. The best part is the location. I can walk to Whole Foods and do all my grocery shopping! Lakewood is filled with cute fun bars! I lived at these nightmare of apartments for the last 4 to 5 years . (I made a different account…read morebecause my mother still lives in the apartments as of right now) let me tell you do not move in here unless you want to do everything on your own. We have a two bedroom apartment and the front bathroom has not been renovated. The back bathroom cannot be used because every time you flush the toilet it leaks everywhere and it's disgusting . The last time we called them to come in and fix it. They broke up all the tile AND still hasn't come to fix THAT. We can't use the dishwasher because it leaks. (and we did put into get everything fixed maybe two years ago still nothing). Don't ever try to use the elevators. One of them is broken and it's been broken down for about a year. It's never cleaned in the washrooms/laundry room. Smells in the hallways are crazy. The pools are never cleaned and trust me if you try to use the equipment in the "gym room" the workers will stare at you until you feel uncomfortable. DO NOT COME HERE YOU'RE WASTING YOUR MONEY YOUR TIME AND ENERGY.

There aren't enough parking spaces, and the board has a man walk through the parking lot between 10-2 at night. What a great feeling to come home in the middle of the night, only to see a man writing down license plate numbers and photographing cars...NOT. even better? The $50 parking ticket you receive for parking where you live! If you have a two year old that wants to walk in the grass and play with the leaves come fall time, don't do it here! If you live in the building and attempt to do ANYTHING outside of your unit with a child, expect a member of the board to approach you and tell you, "this isn't a playground". We're not talking about kids playing baseball, if you literally walk with your child on the property WHERE YOU LIVE, they will tell you that you aren't allowed. If you are an adult human being and enjoy living like you're in a prison camp: this is the place for you. The board members patrol the building like prison guards, constantly telling residents what to do, even if it ISN'T in the bylaws. If you want to live a quiet and peaceful life, and you font bother anyone, and you don't want to be bothered: RUN!

I love the community feel you get at Sturbridge. Pricing is very reasonable for everything you are…read moregetting. There are so many great amenities that come along with it. They have been remodeling all their units too so if you're going to be a new tenant you are getting a newly renovated unit. There is a big fenced in dog park. And the hot tub is indoor so it is open year round! The clubhouse was also fully remodeled last year, so it's all new and beautiful. There's even a dog wash station in the clubhouse! They are really good about cleaning their amenities which is so nice because I have lived in many apartments growing up and I would never set foot in their pools. But the pool, hot tub and gym at Sturbridge are always cleaned and maintained. Everyone in the office and the maintenance team are all so amazing and helpful. Turn around time for a maintenance request is usually quick and done if not the same day then the very next day. I loved all the attention to detail from the staff when it came to decorating for the holidays! I only left because I got married and I am moving out of the country. I do miss living at Sturbridge and highly recommend anyone looking for an apartment to check them out and take a tour!
