Immediately after signing the contract (and I mean literally, *immediately* after) there was a dramatic switch. We were locked in and they knew it. Caveat emptor. The three years of coverage was periodically marked by technical issues that were a pain to coordinate and resolve. Our outdoor storage shed got burgled a couple of times and interacting with True Protection I just remember having the sense that they did not GAF, to be blunt. The alarm system, and monitoring was a nuisance and source of stress. You will be better served with a DIY solution from Best Buy that does not rely on locking yourself in to these contracts. It is incredibly rare for me to bother giving a negative review. I try to review small businesses I interact with who do great work. When I saw the email soliciting reviews in my inbox, I was kinda shocked. Looking at all the glowing reviews, I found myself agreeing with another reviewer who thought this was deluged with friends and family pumping the numbers. It's just hard for me to imagine a company that consistently delivered such a poor customer experience for multiple years could have these glowing reviews. I I will say it again: prior to signing the contract they are amazing. After you sign it is all downhill. Beware.

I had found a different CCTV installation company (on…read moreThumbtack) that lacked the customer service and level or professionalism the gentlemen at AGC Electronics displayed with their walkthrough (to provide us a quote) of our desired CCTV installation set-up. Efren came through and was very thorough and detailed with what we could expect, answered all our questions, and was not at all put off by the fact that we were providing our own cameras and NVR (of course, a con of providing your own cameras is there is no warranty provided by them, but that's something you should be aware of in case that's the route you want to go). Efren and his partner showed up on the day-of right on time and finished the work two hours earlier than expected, which is amazing. What's even more amazing is that the quote we got from AGC Electronics was so much more affordable than what the other CCTV company quoted us, and that was with the company providing their OWN cameras! Another thing to consider (if you've gotten this far in the review) is to remember that if you want to provide your own cameras for whatever reason (we wanted very specific ones with certain features), lots of CCTV installation companies will not install them for you (for obvious reasons), so just also a point of consideration to keep in mind. What they installed for us: * 50 in. TV with wall mount * NVR * 6 cameras I was initially hesitant with contacting AGC Electronics given their lack of reviews on Yelp, but I was desperate given our walkthrough experience with the other company. That was about two years ago and although I keep calling and texting, he is ghosting me. Mounting the TV is not that big of a deal for me however, now I am getting lots of "no signal. Antenna not connected or program unavailable" on one of my TVs. Also, for some reason, not able to get the local CBS channel on one of the TVs anymore. Very disappointing he does not respond. Thought I was a good customer as I gave him one of my older working TVs that he said he could use. Time to move on.

TLDR: Nate and his crew went above and beyond, diagnosed and fixed the problem. Highly recommend…read more 5+ Stars. Part 1: Internet -We contracted Nate and his crew to install the AT&T Fiber in the conduit going to our network panel. Summary: Fiber was pulled in to the panel successfully by Nate! They saved the day! -The issue began when we tried to install AT&T Fiber but the AT&T tech (who worked really hard) told us that he could not find our black flex conduit in the attic spaces. We asked Nate (owner of Alpha Net Communications) to find the conduit in the attic; he was able to find it eventually after looking through our various attics and there it was coiled in the ceiling after a drop down going through the garage attic. He was then able to pull the AT&T Fiber into our network panel so that AT&T could connect their fiberoptic cable into the AT&T modem/router. Part 2: Ethernet (Hardwire) Cable Management -Nate and his crew tested all the ethernet cables with a Fluke cable tester and toner tester. After testing the downstair rooms, they found and repaired broken ethernet jacks at the wall plates downstairs, identified hidden ethernet cable behind a wall plate in the upstairs area, and confirmed all cables were gigabit ready for AT&T Fiber internet. -They installed our new gigabit ethernet PoE switch, plugged in all the ethernet cables (and labeled them) into the ethernet ports of the switch, and labeled all the wall plates. -They cleaned up the network panel itself and also custom cut the closet hanger rod network panel stretched across the panel so that the panel door could fully open. AV System -Nate and his crew also tested the audio cables and the speakers that were upstairs, downstairs, and outside. They found the volume control for the outside speakers. -They also prepared the ethernet cable (going to TV, going to wall) so that it-alongside the HDMI cable-was ready for the smart TV.
