Bought a 2018 Jeep Wrangler from these guys. Low miles, seemingly good condition and was assured there were no issues with the vehicle. Sales person, Austin, claimed they buy the vehicles and then customize them with lift kits, tires, etc. (including the Jeep I purchased) and then resell the customized vehicle. Lift kit was not properly installed. U-bolts were missing and had to replace entire front differential ($5000). Vehicle was unsafe to drive and steering could have went out at any moment causing serious injury or death to myself or others. When I called to see if they would help with the expense that was clearly the fault of this seller and it's mechanics for not properly installing or checking the lift on the vehicle, they claimed that for this particular vehicle they did not install the lift kit (contrary to what I was told at time of sale) and that there was nothing they could do to compensate for the expense. The staff in general, especially the financial services team member, were unfriendly and rude. The management seems in knowledgeable, I had to correct the math on the overpriced bill of sale 3 times before they adjusted it correctly to account for my down payment. Do not go here. read more

Been looking for a Ford F-150 Raptor for over a year and finally found one I liked at 212 Motors. I asked them if I could put down a deposit over the phone and come take it for a test drive later, because I live out of town. They, of course, said they'd be happy to take a $500 deposit, but it was non-refundable and would only be held for 2 weeks because they sell vehicles so quickly. Red flag. If you sell vehicles so quickly what would be the concern with a refundable deposit OR holding it longer than two weeks? But, I decided I liked this truck enough to move forward, so I put a deposit down. On May 2nd I drove to Florence and purchased the vehicle. I wanted to use my own bank for financing, but when I got there they said there was a fee if I didn't do financing through them. Another red flag. They also asked me to sign a release form saying I wouldn't sue them if anything happened, and that if there were issues, we would just work it out together. Third red flag. But I moved forward anyway because I liked the truck and again, had been looking for a year. On May 12th (10 days later), the truck caught on fire and burned to the ground while I was riding down the interstate. I'm lucky to even be alive and regret that I didn't pay attention to the red flags. Also, the vehicle I traded in was a 2019 Ford Expedition that had been in an accident, with airbag deployment. It has been repaired and I fully disclosed the accident to them (hit a deer). I got $53k on the trade in. They now have my vehicle listed for sale at $65,999 and the carfax indicates no airbag deployment, which is false. Do what you wish with this information. read more

I am selling my 2015 Nissan GTR and Johnathan found our listing on FB. He contacted me and asked about vehicle and offered 60k while my listing price is $67,999 I said no and then he offered 63k but I refused it and went on with my day. Investment opportunity came up and now I have to sell the car so I reached back out and asked him If he is serious and I am willing to take 63k to sell fast. He promised the purchase as long as I get Nissan inspection done which he will pay for. I scheduled my visit to Nissan in snow blizzard in Chicago risking to drive my sports car just becuase I am in need and want it gone. I get the report I send it to him and ask him to make the payment to dealer so they can release the car and he said I'll do in 5 mins and so. Hour passed by and nothing. I went in paid the invoice and took my car back home. Now waiting for almost week for his "over night package" to arrive. Papper arrives (title is in my wife's name and her ex) we get all the required documents signed and even asked if it needs noterized their dealer said no need to. After few days they received the package and called my wife to verify the sale and also calls her ex and he verifies as well. I have had multiple problems with the truck and have only had it for 3 months. They promised to ship the second set of keys to my house once the original owner sent them to the dealership. 212 motors seem to have pretty nice collections of variety of vehicles as I thought after we have purchase 2021 Chevy Silverado 1500 high country paid a premium price over MSRP the sales tactic of no chips being available? I noticed during the inspection of the vehicle the wheel lock was missing , mileage was 1000 miles higher then advertised mention to our sales person Shane ) that we needed the wheel lock and was told that it will be delivered to my home once they find it. As I left there driving back to my hometown I noticed the driver side brakes was causing an issue not breaking properly for a brand new 2021 vehicle with 2800 oh 32,miles -we called the dealer drove back & was told that there was Possibility of a residue that their auto detail guy sprayed the entire wheel and rim making it slick( road hazard) causing the brake system to act up, but they said it would be OK it'll eventually burn off as we drove over 400 miles It never burned off . We had to use a biodegradable degreaser to remove the residue off the rotors and brake system . We waited 8 days for the wheel lock to show up made several calls left several messages finally after ninth day I was told By Bryce sales manager that apparently they don't not have the wheel lock and I needed to be responsible for the additional charges of the wheel locks & have new ones put on ! that was jaw-dropping very disappointing that was not part of the deal they should've been more responsible during their 150 point vehicle safety inspection? Especially for unexpected additional charges ,for that reason I have left 1. star review because of the lack of communication and failure to fully inspect vehicle disclosure and putting customers and their family at risk on the road not having a wheel lock incase I had a flat on the road I wouldn't be able to get the wheel lock off to put in a spare ? on top of that a whopping $500 for new wheel locks :( read more

Recently got some mail in which 212 Motors claimed to be having a mail-out raffle contest in which you could win a few different prizes. It was the classic peel off a sticker and reveal a number that could match any of the numbers corresponding to the prizes. I peeled off my sticker and the numbers under the sticker matched for one of the prize numbers and I believed I had won the $500 prize. I go to their dealership the next day to claim the prize, the salesman tells me congratulations, I sit down and they take all my information, and then the salesman takes me to a table to tell me I'm halfway to the prize. At that table is a cardboard cutout with a "Prize Validation Code" in which if you having a winning ticket, your prize validation code on your ticket must match the one on the board. My prize validation code did not match the code on the board even though my ticket had matching numbers for the $500 prize and absolutely no mention of any prize validation code having to match. It was at this point I realized 212 Motors was running a scheme to bring in as many people as possible under the assumption that these people had won a prize, only for 212 Motors to get all their information (email address, house address, name, etc.) before telling them they did not actually win anything. In conclusion, 212 Motors is an utterly disgusting business that uses scummy practices to expand their business... do yourself a favor and do not ever go here. read more

I spoke to someone for a week about a truck I was interested in before deciding to make the trip from Columbia to Florence.Made the hour and a half trip, let the person know that I was in their parking lot. She said, I will send out a salesman. The salesman approached saying "Don't kill the messenger" The truck that I came to see and possibly purchase was sold the day before. I was pissed! So, I asked the salesman, in a calm manner, if they would be willing to help me out with the gas. He said let me see what I can do. He came out a few minutes later shaking his head no. So, whoever was making that decision in the showroom decided "It sucks to be you...coming all this way for nothing". Long story short: If they will treat a potential customer like that before the sale, just imagine how they will treat you after the sale. read more
