The BBK is a small corner bar in South Williamsport. On street parking. BBK is not huge but there is plenty of seating. Old school corner bar, nice selection of bottle and tap beer with some nice micros. Four of us went to lunch on Friday. Nice menu, plenty of choices. You won't believe this but we all ordered the exact same thing.... The special. Fish sandwich and fries. It was HUGE. The hush fillet was twice the size of the roll. WOW! It came with a big side of fries, lettuce, tomato, tartar, and cocktail sauce. Great lunch. Friendly, fast service. 4 sandwiches, 1 beer, 2 bottled sodas, and 2 teas with a dessert - $70. Not bad. The service is awesome if your waitress name is Sammie I ordered the prime it was the worst it was cooked well but the meat had too much fat on it. When I complained I was told that I was a lair and not to return. I am okay with not spending my money there. I'm a little disappointed on the new so called fresh cut fries. These are just potatoes stickers. Smaller than McDonald's fries which are shoe string fries. If I would have known that they changed out their fries I would have passed on them. The cheesesteak is as good as always but they got cheap on the fries......why? It's a turn off for me & may make me decide to go elsewhere. Don't be cheap, fries are a cheap food cost and trying to make your money that way is total wrong. Future visits here may not happen. ok, me and my husband enjoy the cosy atmosphere. We play music bingo every 2 weeks because it's something we can do together. The waitresses hustle and Jojo knows my name, cool. They are attentive throughout dinner and have given us answers when we can't remember the name of that song playing. When you go get the 2 corn tacos my favorite and at a decent price. read more

I've never been so upset at myself for spending so much money on bad service in my 30 years of living. I came in for lunch just passing through while traveling to NY and we sat down and ordered 2 Bloody Mary's and 2 of the 7" cheesesteaks with sides. I was beside myself when I got the check and it was 66.95 before tip. Nearly 80 dollars out the door after tip, for 2 lunch menu items and 2 Bloody Mary's is just unfathomable. Especially when they are making your Bloody Mary's with V8 juice out of a can and your food comes out cold and there are only 4 customers in the establishment. But I supposed that explains why the place was a ghost town at lunchtime on a saturday and why the bartender was talking about how they tried to do brunch but it didn't work out because no one was coming in for it. read more

Prices were outrageous at this place 12 dollars for 2 small corn tortilla pulled pork tacos with no sides. food was very very good service was alright nothing incredible. I had to ask to get my drink refilled twice. with entrees that come with a side they give you chips instead of fries and fires is an up charge on the already insane prices would not recommend. read more

For years I've stayed across the river. Never ventured across to South Williamsport. Decided to give this place a try. Man! I'm glad I did! Great, old school bar atmosphere with very friendly folks. I ordered the steak tacos and they were amazing. Cold beer and liquor, lots of options whether you like micros or more mainstream beers. While searching for places to eat on yelp, this place piqued my curiosity based on food reviews and offerings. The Bridge Tavern is one of those places where you can go and sit down and not feel like a total stranger, definitely had that "locals love it but newcomers are welcome" feel to it. I was in the mood for something like burgers or wings or something that grabbed my attention, so I figured they have a smattering of options and drove the quick trip from my hotel. Starters range from wings, to surf and turf skewers, to potato skins and many more. The boneless buffalo wings were a great offering, 8 decent size chunks smothered in hot buffalo (or any of their other sauces). The spicy sausage soup of the day was delicious, and the sausage was legit spicy! They offer a variety of sandwiches, salads, and entrees (steaks, chicken Marsala, haddock) for whatever you're feeling like. The cheesesteak was recommended, so I gave it a whirl, with onions, peppers, lettuce, and banana peppers. A great place to stop when you're in Williamsport! read more

Amazing food! Not just your normal bar food that is raised to another level, but great company too. The cooks are great and run specials that are more on the 5 star scale, more like when the Bridge was in its prime 30 years ago but updated. My family and I came in for dinner - such friendly service and incredible food. We had the onion rings and fried cheese, both were amazing. We also got tacos, a cheese steak, burger, chicken wrap, and Reuben and all were excellent. The peanut butter pie to wrap things up was amazing. My first time there since new ownership, last ownership I was now happy, so we went again, it's been 10 yrs since we were in the place for a meal. Well it was nice atmosphere, my fish dinner was good, but my Mac and cheese with stewed tomatoes was nothing to write home about. As for my family's meal, they were not happy, Prim Rib had more fat on it then meat, my husbands meal was Lasagna, very dry, and his first bite was a taste of burnt noodle. I was just here a few weeks ago when in town passing through. I was so sad when this place closed years ago but so thrilled when I heard they were re-opening. I sat at the bar and ordered a Yuengling and their famous cheesesteak-now if your from central PA you know this is a staple and what has made The Bridge Famous. Huge portions so much I had leftovers for lunch and everything tasted so great and was so fresh and reasonably priced. The bartender and staff was very kind and attentive. I will be back for sure!! The food is pretty good. There were four of us. Two cheesesteaks were ordered and were really good. A burger was ordered and I'm pretty sure it was from a frozen patty. Tenderloin sliders were dry and rather tasteless. So, I guess two out of four gets two stars. If the service had been good, I would have rounded my rating up to three stars. The service was not good. She did get our order correct, but that's the only positive thing I can say about the service. She didn't once ask about our meals or if we needed anything. She walked past our table several times without stopping. We had to stop her for additional napkins and soda refills. She brought our check without asking if we wanted anything else. I can't say I've ever had a good meal here. The service is typically poor and the food is substandard. But the reason for the post is the claim on billboards about a "world famous cheese steaks." World famous for what, exactly? Honestly not only the worst cheese steak I've EVER had, but quite possibly the worst sandwich. It was dreadful. Terrible lunch experience at an old family favorite today! What used to be a thriving, affordable pub-style family restaurant with friendly service and great food is now a mere shadow of what it used to be. We received un-accommodating service right in the door as no staff wanted to help us make a 6 top with a high chair. We got our own menus and refills, and waited an hour for 6 meals of sandwiches and fries! To top it off, this experience was with a 17 month old toddler in tow, who was never offered to receive her food before the rest! We received almost NO apology, except for a reluctant 10% tab deduction. The food was extremely mediocre and certainly not worth even half of the hassle! The server didn't notice that we left our food on the plates. 2 sodas and the 2 fish sandwiches (without fries) was $34. Bad value and bad food. I see some good reviews here. Perhaps we caught them on a bad day, but The Bridge tavern is officially in my list of, no need to go back there. The staff was very nice and did a fine job, however the quality of the food hardly justified the price. I had the lasagna, it was served with no sauce, was baked dry and was actually burnt to the bottom of microwave dish they served it in. I sent it back, by the time the refire was done, the other three in our party were finished with their meals so I took it to go. My dinner consisted of a salad and a side of broccoli, I also thought it was odd that they serve lasagna without bread of any kind. One person in our party got the prime rib, which was thin and very fatty, he was very unimpressed with it. He also complained about the taste of the gravy and ask me to try it, very commercial and definitely right out of a can and not a very high quality can. My husband and I went for dinner tonight, for the first time since they reopened. When we went in my husband ask what the specials were. The waitress said half price appetizers. We ordered and while we were waiting for our dinner, we heard another waitress tell customers on both sides of us about the appetizers and a dinner special. When our waitress came back my husband ask her again about the specials. She again said only the appetizers. He then ask her about the dinner sprcial. She said that was added after she came in. He then ask if the had plastic straws. She said yes but the were unwrapped and they did not use them because of the ocean thing. The the manager came up to us and said he did not like the way we addressed his waitress to finish our dinner and never come back we were not welcome. He never ask if we had a problem. Believe me we will never go back. I applaud them for the "GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE" . I will also tell everyone I can about this incident. I already have told some people. read more
