I asked them why it was $60, and they suggested it was due to the size of the tire. I had to show them it was an R17, which is something a tire shop knows. They're just trying to get the extra $10 out of me. Was it worth it Valvoline, to try to get $10 out of me? If you're going to try to get an extra $10 out of me, what do you try to do to other people?

(It's a bit tricky to access their driveway off of Brock St but just follow the signs for the car wash) They took my vehicle right away (you can stay in the car!) and clarified which service I wanted. Before starting, they told me what the price would be to confirm that I was okay with the cost. I've had horrible experiences in the past at other quick change places with the final cost being FAR more than advertised so this was especially refreshing. They even brought the dipstick to the window to show me the oil level was full :) The staff was very pleasant from start to finish and I even got a free car wash because I mentioned I found them on Yelp! I would definitely recommend thorn for oil changes!

After lunch, I realized that my car's gas tank was running low. I knew that it wouldn't get me…read morehome. I did a search for a gas station and found this one close by. I drove over. This gas station looked huge from across the street. There was no one pumping gas. Well, I was about to change that situation! I pulled in and parked next to a pump closest to the convenience store. There was a woman behind the counter. I swear that I bring business to places. When I got out of my car with my Petro-Points, 407 ETR discount, and credit cards, there were four other cars at gas pumps. I paid at the gas pump. It was seamless. I started pumping gas into my car. I like that there was that silver stand where you can continue pumping gas hands-free. I went to use the squeegee on my back windshield. After my fuel transaction had completed, I wanted to check the convenience store out. It's small, but it has everything that I enjoy looking at. Candy? Check. Phone accessories? Yes. Popsicles? Definitely. Pop? For sure! I noticed clear Mountain Dew in the beverages fridge. I'm not a Mountain Dew consumer. If you do want a caffeine hit, this drink is for you. Instead, I got two bottles of cherry Diet Coke. I like a good deal and I needed a drink. The woman was friendly. She asked if I wanted a bag. Nah, I was good. I got more Petro-Points with this transaction. I'm glad that I dropped by. The gas station is clean. I'm not normally in this part of Ajax. I called and they were able to get me in and knew how to treat the car. Did a great job hand washing it followed by drying it to the extent of using air to dry out the wheels, mirror cavity, vents and molding trim. Even gave me some great tips on products to use to keep the car clean.

Toronto car washes don't have anything on this spot…read more My favourite way to wash is to put in $5-6 and use the touchless wash, the pink liquid that drizzles out of the small gun with a curly hose. Cover everything. It'll do a good job at cleaning your car. A friend used it and didn't love it on her white car but it worked great on my black car. They have clips to hang your rubber mats. Use the pink stuff on that too and they'll be clean. They also have this highlighter yellow stuff for cleaning tires. I use that when my tires are dirty. Not sure if the highlighter yellow or pink stuff would be better on the mats, but I'll find out next time. Follow that up with a spotless rinse. Even though the rinse is spotless I like to have some microfibre clothes in my car to dry it down afterwards. The vacuums are mediocre. Good enough but I prefer using my Shop Vac. I feel weird reviewing a car wash but this spot totally deserves it! Tip: don't park under the trees to dry your car because you might get pooped on!

If you're going south on Whites, you can turn into the gas station but just note that you can't turn left out of that same entrance to go back north since there's an island in the way. Similarly if you're going west on Kingston you can turn into the shell but you can't turn left to go east as you're exiting. The prices here are usually pretty on par with the Petro Canada across the street. There's a tiny store where you can go in to pay and they have a few items for sale. This station also has a soft cloth car wash and automotive services. A small bonus, though partially unrelated, is that it shares its turn in with the Tim Hortons so after you grab gas in the freezing cold winter, you can warm up with a cup of coffee!
