I spent over $16,000 on a reman. Engine for my M5 BMW. I had problems with it from the time I picked it up. I drove it to Louisville and ended up with a smoking, leaking car, dead in Oxmoor Malls parking lot. I immediately called the shop. Was told they would look at it but I would have to pay to tow it back to them...even though this is covered work under their "garauntee" and warranty given for the motor work. I paid $400 to tow it back to them. Upon inspection, they found that the water pump had not been installed and secured back to the frame after the motor install and this led to it breaking in the journey to Louisville. I have called these people multiple times I've spoken with multiple people. I have received pushback on everything except for giving them money. They did not stand behind their warranty and they did not fix the car. I am now having to buy a new car because not only is the engine light still on, but the car still does not run, months later. I highly discourage anyone from taking a vehicle to these people to have any work done they will steal your money and leave you with the remnants. My husband and I are originally from CA. He drives a Volvo and I drive a Subaru. There are no dealerships anywhere around us where we can take our cars for service but we discovered 252 Imports and we are so glad we did. Patrick, the owner/mechanic, is a great guy and he has always done a super job for us. My car needed a repair at the last minute before a trip out of town and he squeezed me into his busy schedule, which I greatly appreciated. It's close to an hour's drive for us to get here but it's worth it. He does a great job and the costs are quite reasonable. I was referred to 252 imports by a local business. My Mercedes was having trouble starting in cold weather. After a few weeks and many calls to check on it,and a bill for over $900.00 I was told my engine was worn out. When I went to pick it up I found it was low on fuel. Below reserve. It had just under half a tank when they got it.I was concerned that I would not make it to a gas station. The mechanic very rudely told me that he had no gas for it and that I would make it to a gas station. He did not offer to follow me to the gas station to make sure I would make it despite this was a cold snowy day.I found this very poor customer relations. When I drove my car it now has a bad miss causing a tick that was not there before I brought it in. I would not recommend this business to anyone. read more
