I made a last-minute call to Polk's Lock Service. The woman on the phone sounded a bit confused by my request to send out a locksmith, but she was friendly, and she promised someone would be there within 25 minutes and would call me when they were there. Better than the promised time, I received a phone call within 15 minutes. Once I introduced myself and explained the situation, the locksmith took out a couple items from his car, and he was into my passenger's door within 30 seconds. He was friendly, with lots of jokes to try to lighten the mood. No damage to my car or anything. He was able to take payment via cash or card - right at his own work van. It only cost $45, and it was a smooth, painless solution to a pretty terrible situation. Thanks to Polk's for being there when I needed them.
