When a rock was…read morekicked across the highway, scraping the hood of my car, shattering the windshield, and damaging the roof, I knew that's where I wanted my vehicle to go to be repaired. What I didn't know is that Caliper Collision had bought them out. No big deal, it's a preferred repair shop for my insurance company, so I'm sure it will be fine. Boy, was I wrong. My car was damaged on 8/4/21. L&M Towing in Vermilion came to get it that day and it was towed to Caliper in Monroeville that afternoon. All of the photos from the scene were sent to my insurance and I discussed in detail with the collision shop as to what damage was done. Payment was issued on 8/6/21 and repairs started to happen. It took longer than usual to get the windshield as it had to be OEM and I understood that because everything is taking some time with COVID. On 8/19/21 my car was finally completed and my husband went to pick it up. Not only had they not done the repair to the damage on the roof of the car, they had over sprayed my bumper and windows. The roof was pointed out and we had a picture from the accident scene yet they just didn't do it? Completely unacceptable. He was told that they would get it fixed and that it would be ready for pick up again soon. On 8/23/21 I was called and told that the overspray was taken care of and that the roof had been repaired. Again my husband went to pick it up. This time the paint was beautiful but the interior of the car still has glass pieces in it and there were black greasy handprint on the tan headliner and sun visor. He was told they would get it cleaned up, again, and it would be ready in the morning. I went to day, 8/24/21 to attempt to pick the car up again. The body work is perfect and the interior is clean but they decided to put my EZ pass and dash cam back on the windshield. This would be fine if they had put them where they belonged but they just put them wherever they wanted to put them. The EZ pass is not up and behind the mirror as I had it but in my line of vision. The dash cam placement now catches the block box behind the rearview mirror so I won't have a clear view of the road on camera. Yes, these can be moved but they should have never been put back on without being crystal clear as to where they went. I shouldn't have to scrape them off of a brand new windshield and remove the glue and place them again. The lady in the office offered to have them fix it but I didn't have the time or patience to wait any longer for my vehicle. Overall I am frustrated and exhausted with this experience. Work that was done was done lazily and some work was just skipped, and although all issues were fixed, it should have never happened like this. The EZ pass and dash cam are frankly not a big deal, but after dealing with issues for almost 3 weeks I am a little more than annoyed that I have to take the time to remove them, clean the windshield, and put them where they belong. I most definitely would not recommend this repair shop to anyone.

So when it came time for us to find another vehicle, my wife had her eye on a specific Hyundai. Looking online, there was NO WAY it would be in the price range that we wanted to pay for the lease. I went in anyway, really to confirm the pricing I saw on the corporate Hyundai website. Well, Jon didn't let that pricing be. He worked with Vincent, a manager, and they were able to beat our price point, tax, title, license, out the door. They were sure to confirm what we wanted (no trying to give us a FWD when we wanted AWD like we experienced other places), and gave us their best price. They were even great to let us make sure it was the right car for us. The actual name is Pam & Terin Mitterling. I reviewed the notes concerning their repair. The battery had a shorted cell causing a battery discharge light to illuminate. I recommended a battery replacement to correct the issue. The battery was replaced & the charging/ starting system all tested correctly & the battery discharge light was no longer on. There was no call from the customer to notify me that a discharge light had reoccurred. The vehicle in question was a 220,000. Mile Oldsmobile. Full disclosure - I think the problem started when he confused me with my sister-in-law, who's name…read moreis also Tiffany LaCourse. She's had some issues with him recently and I don't think he realizes we are two different people. That having been said - my son was in an accident last month (June 7th 2025) and Walt's Towing ended up towing his car. When I picked my son up from the scene, they weren't sure what tow company would take the car, so the sheriff gave me his card with the report number on it and said the tow company would get in touch with me. No one ever called me, and I was completely slammed between work, my boys' baseball schedules, my mom's doctors appointments, and everything else going on. I talked to my insurance company (State Farm) immediately after the accident, filed a claim, and they said they would make sure the car was at a facility that didn't charge storage and if it wasn't - they'd have it moved somewhere that wouldn't charge for storage. I assumed since I never heard anything more from my insurance or the towing company - that there was nothing to worry about. Weeks after the accident - on Friday, June 21 2025 - Walt and his girlfriend showed up at my house at close to 8pm when my husband and I were in Ashland at a baseball tournament and he scared my elderly mom and my 9 year old son. He gave my mom a copy of the police report with a POST IT NOTE attached with a price of $1,398.13 handwritten on it (see attached photo) and said he needs to be paid ASAP and I need to get my car. That is NOT an invoice - let alone itemized. I still to this day have not received an invoice. I called the police on him that night and made a report. I've tried to reach him and so has my cousin Richard (who tows vehicles) numerous times to get the car - so the storage fees would stop - and he hasn't answered or reached back out to either of us. Now this weekend - July 19 2025 - I got served with small claims court papers. He's taking me to court for almost $2400! And he still has my son's car and has still has never returned any calls to this day! I fully intend to file with the BBB, Ohio Secretary of State, ODOT, and any other authority I can to have this remedied.
