    Service bay.

This dealership, like many, is a blend. The short of it, is that that service department is great and by Yelp standards I'd say a four star experience. Now, if you are looking to buy a car, this is the last place I would recommend. The good: Their service department is knowledgeable, and takes care of the vehicles that come into their control. I drive a vehicle that is known for being abused and being a toy for people who get their hands on it. The service department has always treated with care like it is their own. They've also honored the price quoted when they have given the wrong price. They quoted me $45 for an oil change, when oil changes (for my vehicle) are $100+. I also had a weird request for them to run an option on their GM software which is completely normal and above board, but not something that is often done. As they weren't familiar with it, they respectfully tried to prepare me for denial. Their technician reviewed my paperwork, and their system, and when they realized it was all above board, they completed. And they charged me appropriately! The service department has more than earned my business. But then we flip to the dealer services. Avoid. My wife and I are in the market for a four wheel drive SUV that is reliable and fuel efficient, while being mindful of price. As I'm not one to jump to a big decision, even though we looked at GM last year, I wanted to checkout the lot and see if they had anything new that was comparable to the market (they don't). The first salesman was new to the dealership and completely honest. He told me about the best options for my situation, what they had, their deals running on what I don't want, and gave me a great experience. He was new. Before I left, he wanted me to talk to his manager, Nick. This is common in dealerships. If a salesman can't close a sale, dealerships often expect them to get a manager to talk to the customer. So I get Nick. Nick was great with the numbers that benefited him, but terrible with the numbers that didn't. Even when I broke out my calculator and went through the BS he was spewing, he argued that it wasn't a big deal and it is silly to buy anything else. His focus was on a monthly payment, and not on my needs and wants. I get that GMs basic vehicles aren't the most competitive in quality, reliability, and features by price, but trying to convince my that a 25 MPG front wheel drive Buick is a better choice than the 40 MPG four wheel drive Toyota when the Buick is less reliable, and has less options while COSTING MORE is insulting to my intelligence, and speaks poorly to him. His assumption that I would make an impulse purchase under pressure resulted in him simply avoiding his dealership next time we want to even think about a GM product.

It is missing some of the equipment that should have been included. I was told, "you didn't buy a new car". Yeah, right. Some rich old lady owned it for a second. She removed some of the equipment. I was told to buy the items from Jeep. Like I haven't already spent over $55k on this piece of crap 2026 Jeep. They lowballed me on my trade in and told me it wasn't worth anything. Now they are selling it for four times what they gave me for it. Avoid this dealership at all costs. One star rating because I can't give then zero stars!

Weds came on gone without any communication. Thurs was a holiday. Friday at noon still no word but was told it was with the tech when we called at 8am. 12:20 or so left a voicemail for the service manager requesting he call us back. 2pm still no call. Called service desk and was told the service manager sent her an email ref our vm. Still no word on what the check engine light meant as far as generating a repair estimate!! Getting a code is simple and straight forward. So why the long delay from the Weds morning appt? Recvd msg saying they will provide a loaner car at 4:30 .... they close at 5:00! So its a Sat morning trip to pick the loaner up. Needless to say we still do not have an estimate for its repair. This is my neices car that she needs for work. No work now since Tues and this will onviously not get resolved until sometime next week. Extremely disappointed with the dealershios service department and its manager. Weve purchased several cars from them, but probably no more!!

I haven't actually had work done on my vehicle by this shop as I'm not local, but I can attest to…read morethe quality and integrity of the people that operate it! While en route to Cedar Point from Columbus with an SUV full of kids, I started to experience car trouble. My daughter googled auto repair shops near us as the handling of my SUV began to decline rapidly and I slowed down and drove with my hazards on. By the grace of God, we were only 5 minutes from Tom's Auto Repair! As I pulled into their parking lot, Daniel came out from the garage right away to make sure we were okay as he noticed the flashers on. I explained to him what I was experiencing and after emptying my vehicle of restless kids, the team had it up on a lift in no time and quickly diagnosed the issue(s). They said I was lucky that I stopped, as with the state of my wheel bearing and front bushing, we might not have even made it the next 30 minutes to the park. Daniel didn't have the specific part I needed, but called around to other local shops to see if anyone had it on hand. With none found nearby, he and Alexis helped me problem solve from that point on. I called AAA to tow my SUV to a repair shop back home, and Daniel was already on the phone with local taxi services to to help us a way to Cedar Point, without me even asking. Alexis then called Fleet One for a rental and a Ford Explorer was delivered to the auto shop in less than 15 minutes! The tow truck came quickly as well, and Daniel provided a written analysis of the issue and parts needed to pass along to my local shop. What's even more impressive, is that he refused to collect a dime for his and his team's time, diagnosis, and help. They even cleaned up a wound and provided a bandaid for one of my son's friends who was with us! I was in tears by the time I left, grateful for the good people that God placed us close to at a time of need. I highly recommend Tom's Auto Repair to anyone in the Norwalk area and will always be a fan! Thanks again for saving my son's 13th birthday and keeping us safe, Daniel & team. You guys went above and beyond for nothing in return, and with that kind of integrity and character, I would absolutely trust you with the care of my or my loved ones vehicles in heartbeat. Thanks again, a million times over!

Terrible customer service experience.  I was looking for a specific Genesis model - this dealership…read morehad one available.  I scheduled an appointment several days beforehand since I live 1 1/2 hours away.  I received a call the day before from the dealership to confirm.  I asked who I should ask for when I come in and was given 3 names.  When I showed up the next day 2 of the 3 people were not there and the third person seemed unaware of my appointment.  More importantly the car had been sold and was not available to test drive.  So I drove 1 1/2 hours for nothing.  I realize things happen, however, the fact that no one seemed to know about my appointment and I wasn't made aware of the car being sold, is ridiculous.  The individual I talked with said this happens all the time.  Okay - then get organized and have a system for appointments.  I went to Northtown Genesis near Buffalo the next day and had a wonderful experience - very helpful.

This version is optimized for the Google algorithm to ensure it stays near the top. Rating: Title: Beware of Bait-and-Switch Tactics at Genesis of Mentor I had an incredibly frustrating and unethical experience here. I came in for a specific Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) vehicle advertised as an exceptional value. After the test drive, I was told it was an "online error," it wasn't CPO, and they wouldn't honor the price. Classic bait-and-switch. They immediately tried to upsell me on a "perfect, like-new" vehicle that was significantly more expensive. Only after pushing for the numbers did I find out this "perfect" car actually had two accidents on record. To make matters worse, when I asked to speak to a manager about service loaners, I was told he was "locked inside a vehicle and couldn't get out." Nearly 30 days later, the same "error" listing is still online. They are clearly using false advertising to lure people in. Avoid this dealership if you value transparency and honesty.
