Some good friends of ours just adopted a dog who they were told was fully grown but has gained 10 pounds in the 2 weeks that they've had him and has *enormous* paws. He's gonna be a whopper. We have two tiny and sometimes a little hyper dogs that love the chase and be chased game. Three words that fix everything - puppy play date. On a brisk (ok it was 15 degrees) morning last week, we took the three dogs to the Harry Downes and let them go. It was great to see them wrestling and chasing-- even our littlest one went into a big snow drift after a ball (even though she's usually prissy about the cold). It was great fun and there were a handful of dogs there despite the temperature. It's a little hidden away in Brookline off rte 9, but still pretty near JP. We'll definitely going back-- especially if our big-dog-owning friends have anything to say about it. Minus a star for the hours. I'd like to see a dedicated dog area, but these are often small and not as nice as this park is.

I sat here for a long time admiring all the doggies playing with one another. I personally accessed the park by foot from Beacon Street. You cannot access through this way if you are going by car because the street connecting Beacon to the park is private. I'm new to the Boston area, but I noticed that people sure love their baseball and almost all the kids are in little league. There are a ton of baseball fields, everywhere.

Aside from the super old wooden seats a lot of the stadium has some decent modernness to it, the surround area has a lot of restaurants and bars to go to before and after games. Parking is extremely limited but Boston has really good public transportation so it's fairly easy to get here on the T green line . Fenway also offers a lot of different stadium tour options during the season whether they're in a homestead or away, if you can't catch a game while you're in town it's worth it to do one of the tours.

There is no parking lot but I've never had trouble finding an on street space on beautiful LaGrange street. Its proximity to the plenty of shops and restaurants along Centre Street lend to making the visit to the playground a multi-purpose outing. I know how much effort it took to get the kids loaded up and out the door - so let's make the most of it! While it can get busy, it's never been so overwhelmingly crowded that my introverted personality couldn't handle it. I've always been very comfortable with the amount of kids and guardians. This is our favorite playground in the city so far, it has become our regular spot.
