Everyone loves to go here for Taco Tuesday $1.50 w a purchase of a beverage. I have not been in almost a year. I decided to go today. I had to ask do I seat myself. As I was seating myself she asked what to drink. I'd like a coke in a to go cup please. My drink was delivered in the plastic cup. I didn't say anything. It wasn't a big deal. I ordered 1 beef soft and 1 beef hard. She set my 2 tacos down I noticed they were both hard shell. She set the plate at the corner of my table she'd be back for it once she dropped another tables plates off. She came back and I told her it's fine. I'll take them both hard. I bit into the 2nd taco and it wasn't beef it was chicken. I guess I should've let her take them back to the kitchen to correct the mistake. I had drank all my coke but maybe an inch of coke left. I asked could I now please get a Togo cup. Well she brought me an empty to go cup lol. With me dumping my ice and maybe swallow left of coke. I felt horrible but I didn't leave a tip. It's the same as last visit. That's why we stopped giving them our business. It's like the staff has gotten lazy and doesn't care to listen what you've actually ordered. They'll end up going out of business if they don't get it together soon !!! read more

Ordered steak and shrimp, received one pound of onions and a scoop of rice. Literally there was 3 shrimps on my plate, steak was super dry and rubbery. This is not Mexican food to me this is imitation and a bad one. Also ordered a Paloma that was flat as my butt and to top it off it was weak as hell. read more

Observations: fairly clean for an old run down building, average service, chips were good, typical Mexican music playing, fairly loud dining room. Negatives: cheap plastic decor Run down building in need of repair Basic turn and burn" servers Sangria that tastes like cinnamon Concord grape juice (worst sangria I've ever had) Terrible thin, runny bland salsa served with chips (chips were good) Beef taco was flavorless and stale shell Beef burrito was bland and flavorless Chicken Chipotle was cheap dry scraps of chicken swimming in generic velveta-like cheese with no spice whatsoever The Chilli Relleno was a half stuffed green pepper This has, by far, been the worst restaurant I've visited since moving here. Service was average and the food FAR below average. When I pointed out to the server that I was served half of a cheap stuffed green bell pepper and not a poblano, he laughed and shrugged his shoulders. (Nothing wrong with a stuffed bell pepper BUT don't try to pass it off as a poblano or Anaheim **pet peeve). We paid $25 for food that was lower quality than fast food. Decent Mexican restaurant in Walhalla. Typical food you see at almost every Mexican joint. Large inside with plenty of tables. Masks were not required. Service was pretty quick. They brought two different salsas, one was good with a little kick, but other was bland and very watery. Chips were fresh and had good flavor. Good fajitas I thought, but didn't come with lettuce/tomato/guac, which was unusual in my experience. So fajitas were basically steak and grilled onions/peppers (can also get chicken). Rice and refried beans were both good, but not spectacular. Overall a good lunch for under $10. read more

NOPE... not good! Don't believe the current 4.5 star average rating. I had the Beef Enchilada & Tamal plate which includes rice & beans. Did not care for the brown sauce drowning the tamal (dry) and enchilada (flavorless). I also ordered the Pow Pow Shrimp which came fried with a dipping sauce. The dipping sauce made the shrimp a touch better, but still no better than 2.5 stars. My wife had the Tostada (also flavorless) and the Spinach & Cheese Enchilada, where they pile a bunch of cooked spinach soaked in the same brown sauce as described above on top of the enchilada. Not very good. I should point out that we'd been hiking all day, logging about 8 miles after visiting 4 waterfalls, a tunnel and a historic site. We'd had nothing but snacks + water and WE WERE STARVING! Typically when we are that hungry, almost anything tastes good, and yet we were highly unsatisfied. Overall, nothing we tried tasted like authentic Mexican cuisine. Instead it was more reminiscent of a Mexican TV dinner. Service was excellent and the restaurant itself is surprisingly large AND busy for such a small & cute podunk town. But the flavor was severely lacking and would probably be best described as poorly executed Tex-Mex. 4-stars means I am a FAN of this Mexican food joint slinging legit Tex-Mex in the middle-of-northern South Carolina. This may seem hard to believe, but it is for reals. I've made it hear each year of the past 3 for my work-related trips to this scenic area of SC with no regrets. Prices are reasonable, service is good, and the plates are large at this establishment that feels more like a hole-in-the-wall and less like a sprawling restaurant that could seat like 60 people. The starter of chips (light, not heavy) and 2 salsas are solid, but not spectacular. Their Lunch menu prices are very reasonable withour skimping on the portions. I see the full bar they have, but I have yet to make it for Happy Hour. If you are looking for solid Tex Mex in the Wahalla area, this is your spot. read more

The Place 3 Amigos Mexican Grill is located at 108 S Catherine St in Walhalla, SC. This is a little older venue but is very clean inside. The is bar seating and plenty of booths. The entrance area has table seating and can accommodate a sizable group. The Menu 3 Amigos offers a complete Mexican menu. I've had taco's and burrito's before this time I tried the Taco salad. It was very good. The Experience/Value/Service Our service was good.. not great but adequate. The value is very fair and reasonably priced. It was a positive experience but the atmosphere needs to go to the next level to keep customers coming back and raving about the place. read more

I really loved their chips and salsas. One of them was roasted with raw onion and it was so good. The chips were hot and fresh. My husband had yummy shrimp tacos and I had a garlic and shrimp with onions dish. It wasn't bad but they didn't cook out the raw garlic and so that was an off putting taste. Happy with our food though! It helps that we were ravenous after not eating all day, haha. Glad we stopped here while passing through. read more

I ordered three chicken tacos, pic showed hard shell which I expected but got soft. I should have asked, I received nothing in the tacos except a few pieces of chicken. No cheese, lettuce or tomatoes. I did get a small paper cup of pico, enough for 1 taco. My wife ordered Shrimp Quesadillas which were very soggy and hard to eat. My husband has visited this restaurant twice now and the second time I asked him to bring me home something. I chose the #4 combo. I was so looking forward to getting my food based on all of the great reviews. What I got was such a disappointment. I opened the first container and found a taco. Despite requesting chicken I was given beef, and whoever assembled it seemed to have forgotten that most people like their taco fillings INSIDE the shell. I had a soggy taco shell with a pile of greasy beef and a congealed chunk of mozzarella cheese. (Mozzarella on a taco?) The next container was worse. It looked like dog food that had been vomited into a container and covered in a brown sauce. There was another pile of greasy beef with cheese melted into it on top of what I assume used to be a tostada shell. But the grease has permeated the shell and it was just a pile of goo. The enchilada was hidden under a soup of brown sauce that had a grainy dirt like consistency. Both of these items were again made with beef despite requesting chicken. And SO MUCH GREASE! I put the styrofoam box that contained the taco down on my couch for 30 seconds and when I picked it up there was a grease stain on my couch. I tried to eat some of it but a few bites in I felt sick to my stomach and couldn't eat any more. I could practically feel my arteries clogging. No thank you. read more
