This place is convenient because it's in the same parking lot as the hotel we're staying in. So it's a quick walk. At first, it's looks empty from the parking lot but as soon as you are inside, it was so crowded and lively. I was hesitant because of all the low reviews from Yelp and Google. Now I know why because the service is slow. More like understaffed. We ordered mojito and pina colada for drinks and shared a steak salad. Thank goodness because the plate was a size of a 12x12 ceramic tile. It was huge. I've read reviews that the carne asada steak taste like beef jerky. I can contest to that because the meat is super thin and over cooked so it could taste like jerky. The salad was eh. The description listed 3 types of vinaigrette but all I could taste was the ice burg lettuce. We didn't eat the beans. The drinks come in big margaritas glass. I couldn't finish my mojito. Very good! The ambience and decor is super authentic. They've got the Dia de Los Muertos celebration going on, which really reminds me of the hispanic culture back on the west coast. They also take their social distancing and cleaning very seriously as they were seating people far far apart and a lady was cleaning tables within an inch of their life after. The sanitiser smell is annoying but reassuring. The nachos and salsa for the table were really good. Really liked the salsa. We ordered the loaded nachos and street tacos with a traditional margarita. The nachos were great - huge quantity, cheesy, good amount of chicken with lots of guac and sour cream. The street tacos were decent. They only allow you to choose one meat for all 5 which is strange because every other place I've ordered street tacos in gives you the option of mix and match. I chose the chicken. It was a little bit dry. Maybe you should consider asada for yours. The plate comes with a salsa verde (good, but I love spicier salsas), beans (a little dry but good) and a small amount of salad on the side. The margarita surprised me. Instead of just the one glass of margarita, they provided a glass and the mixer with the margarita inside it. So you pour it out yourself. Ended up being 3 glasses so it's easily shareable! A little too sweet for me but I liked it! Also got takeout of their lunch special arroz con pollo which looked pretty good. Overall, definitely a better experience than prior mexican eateries in Pueblo. read more

My family has stopped here on our way to Colorado for many years! The interior is so cool and authentic! I love that you can watch them make the tortillas and that the staff is friendly. What keeps us coming back is definitely the mushroom salsa that is so good!! My family orders 2 big orders and then some to go every time! Came in for a to-go order. The ticket had all the right items and expectations on them. Welp, they messed up all 3 of the entrees we ordered. Go in for a remedy and wait 20 min for the replacement food. Whoops, they messed up one entire again! The wait staff went directly to the kitchen and specified what was desired. We are vegetarian and they kept putting their pork sauce on the meal. And they forgot the black beans TWICE! They've messed up the order twice in the exact same way! So then we ask for a manager and they said the managers busy and it will take a while! Really, too busy for a customer you messed up the order for twice? Finally the manager comes to talk to us and offered us a fixed meal and asked if we're ok? No! we waited 40 min extra to have two screwups. We asked for some compensation. Manager offers us cash refund because he doesn't have the card to process a proper refund. We were refunded $15 cash for a 14.99 meal. Does he realize the total cost after tax is more? In case you don't read the whole review- +1 star for our server +1 star for the pollo fundido this was decent but over priced. minus 3 stars for several things ... Consider the following in case you decide to go here: First, the restaurant itself is beautiful, it's huge so they're doing a good job of spacing out available dining sections, and depending on when you go the wait time can be about 30mins or more. Our waiter was nice and attentive so the lack of stars is because of the FOOD (the most IMPORTANT part of any restaurant). The salsa they provide with chips is subpar... it's flavorless and it's almost like having watered down tomato soup. Not sure if it was a situational thing but both sodas were flat - we got sprite and coke, both were watered down with very little syrup, they weren't cold and the carbonation was gone. We also got coffee but sadly it was tasted burnt and stale. So save a few bucks and just order water. The queso dip was room temp maybe a bit colder, which does not make for good dipping, flavor, and it also tells you that it sat for a while. My plate was the Pollo Fundido - Chicken with mushrooms spinach yellow and red bell peppers topped off cheese and a side of beans and rice. Although it was good, it's not $17 worth of good and food quality should always match price. We also got the Portuguese shrimp, which is shrimp wrapped in bacon and ham and stuffed with cheese. You would think it's spicy, a little bit salty, and delicious but the sauce was bland and the shrimp were slightly overcooked which made them rubbery. Overall, I wouldn't be back, the food is over priced, lacking in flavor, and quality control the only positive was that our server was friendly and tried to be helpful but at the end of the day it's the kitchen who needs to deliver on food because that's what people are spending most of their money on. read more

The place is very cute. The host at the entrance was very attentive. We ordered the Mexican pizza appetizer and it was delicious! For the main plates we ordered from the lunch menu. My expresso vegetarian burrito was excellent. My friends liked there food two. Everything was fine with our server until we received the check (bill) and saw that we have been charge, the main dishes, from the prices at the regular menu. I asked for the menu again and show it to the server. He stared at us for a few seconds and said: sorry that plate that you received was from the regular menu. Excuse me! How is that our fault? As a native New Mexican, it surprises me how different Mexican food in southern Colorado can be from Mexican food found in New MExico Before I get into specifics: it is worth it to try this place, just because they specialize in Mexican food from a certain region that you don't often see in restaurants. Sinaloa. I accidentally ended up at Margaritas trying to find a shopping center. I had to turn around in their parking lot to get where I was headed. (Whatever that says about their location) The outside made enough of an impression on me to make me return for dinner after shopping. The host wand wait staff are refreshingly sincere and attentive. My waitress was a bit spacey, but she was so delightful, it didn't matter. AND spacey or not, everything made it to my table just as expected. She did forget the chips and could have explained the mushroom salsa. (You'll find out) I ordered the beef taquitos and Colechi fillet. The Colechi is unique to Sinaloa, or Sea of Cortez area. The taquitos were obviously handmade to order and had generous garnish. The shredded beef was tender and flavorful. The presentation was simply pretty. The chips and salsa are tasty. I prefer the "saucy" salsa with chips over a "Pico". Great flavor balance. The mushroom salsa is something I've never seen NOR heard of, ever. And still really don't understand,. Its fresh chopped mushrooms in a lime dressing. Refreshing, different. I would have it again. The Colechi is wonderfully bizarre. Fried tilapia in an avocado cream sauce with fresh wilted spinach! My family and I really loved our time at this restaurant! We stayed the night at the local hotel and saw a "3 Margaritas" practically in the parking lot. After calling to make sure there was indoor seating available, we went over! We had to wait a couple of minutes to get seats but were very pleased with the welcoming atmosphere. Our service was superb. Our waiter was witty and bounced off the jokes that my family and I made. We had a couple of hiccups that he solved quickly and professionally, and made the entire experience fantastic! Don't let the run-down exterior dissuade you, we very much recommend it! read more

I was hoping for the best, but was deeply disappointed in the quality of the food at this establishment. First off, let's talk about their flour tortillas...I have never had flour tortillas this thin and 'crepe'-like before and found them flavorless. We stopped here based on a a previous Yelp review which extolled the flour tortillas at this establishment. Secondly, the mass of the tamale was bland. Now, a good tamale has well-made masa, not granular which these were, BUT they have amazing flavor!! So much so you could eat just the masa alone...I was once again disappointed. Next, I ordered the tortilla soup and it arrived piping hot with lots of chicken and it had a lovely flavor, but it contained lots of raw onions and cilantro which I discovered with my first bite...I had specifically ordered the dish sans raw onion and cilantro. When they brought me the replacement bowl it had very little chicken and was lukewarm. But the coup de grace came when the television above my family's heads had a novella in which people were having sexual conquests left and right!! I guess this one was dedicated to their 'story' while all the other televisions had on soccer. My grandchildren were shocked as were we!! Last straw!!! We had a craving for Mexican food (although we haven't been out of Texas for longer than a day so far) and found our way to 3 Margaritas. Our server was enthusiastic and helpful, I believe his name was Ricardo. The salsa is fine, different from any I've ever tried with a lot of tomato flavor and a bit runny. The chips were delicious though, very warm and crispy! They also bring out a mushroom salsa that had a bit too much lemon juice and not enough of the other flavors. I ordered the chicken fajitas and they had flavor but were a little rubbery. The grilled onions and bell peppers were cooked well. My mom's beef fajitas were good, but the shrimp had no flavor. The flour tortillas are amazing!! They had a woman making them by the entrance as we walked in. My dad ordered the carnitas and it came with SO much food and was very good. My brother ordered the Al Pastor taco plate and the meat was VERY dry. He also asked for flour tortillas and they still came on corn. They offer very basic beers and drinks, but they have quite a few alcoholic beverages including a medley of margaritas. read more
