So came here in a whim. I was craving some tacos and wanted some authentic as opposed to the Taco Bell standard. I ordered the shredded beef tacos and I must inform you all, I had it delivered by Uber eats. First off the tacos were great, lots of flavour and the pico de gallo sauce was extraordinary. Where they failed at least in my books is the price. For 3 tacos it cost $23 WOW. and after Uber eats took their cut, tax and tip. It was a whopping $35. OMG. FOR 3 tacos!!! Price wise this is a definitely NO BUT The flavour and quality was AOK so I'm comfortable with a 3 star rating. Honestly such an amazing spot for Mexican food in Richmond hill. I feel like there's isn't much Mexican food uptown so I'm super glad we have 3 Mariachis. I ALWAYS get the birria tacos. They are so so good! Their menu is pretty big so there's something for everyone. Their nachos are also really yummy and even the small size is pretty big. I've been here couple times and the staff is always very kind even when I've come in close to closing. The food always comes out pretty quickly even when they are busy. Came across this place from a Facebook reel and I was craving for some Mexican food. We ordered takeout. It took over an hour of calling/being on hold to finally out our order in. This included ending and dialing back multiple times. My husband picked up the food so I'm not sure what the ambiance is like. We ordered a mariachi platter and premium mariachi tacos. The Mariachi platter comes with chicken enchiladas, chorizo taco, and shredded beef burrito. The premium Mariachi tacos comes with a choice of 3 tacos. We chose crispy avocado tacos, campechano and bistec a la mexicana. The portions were large. I wish the tortillas were toasted. Out of everything, I enjoyed the burrito the best. I'm uncertain about deep fried, breaded avocado. The rest of the tacos and enchiladas all had very similar profile flavours so I wasn't sure what I was eating. Came in on a Sunday evening early. Wasn't super busy so staff were attentive and came quickly to take our orders. Location wise, it's conveniently off the 404 in a plaza with ample parking. The decor is amazing and festively Mexico. Had their birria tacos - it was alright. It was done right but just not flavourful. I did request no garnish but that said, the meat wasn't flavourful. Had their single churro loop for dessert and it also fell flat for me. It was crispy on the outside but mush on the inside. Really not the consistency that I had hoped for. I was in the mood for churros so really the purpose of our visit. Mexican restaurants are far and few in my neck of the woods. I was looking for a spot where my fam could indulge in some tacos, enchiladas, pico de galol & chips. I came across the 3 Mariachis in Vaughan, via yours truly - Yelp. Vaughan is not exactly nearby, but I was ecstatic to discover that they had an Express location in Richmond Hill. Just a short (15 min) drive from Markham, this location was anything but Express! We were greeted very warmly once we arrived and given the option to sit anywhere we wanted to. We chose a nice cozy booth beside the window. I was amazed at the menu and number of options for an express eatery. This is what we shared/ordered: Small BMariachis Nachos $17 - Corn tortillas chips covered with Salsa Roja. blend of Monterey Jack, Mozzarella and cheddar cheese. Topped with serrano peppers and house made pico de gallo. The ingredients were super fresh including the salsa Roma and pico de gallo made in house. The cheese pull on these nachos was incredible and the toppings and cheese were very generous. *Add Beef/Chicken/Chorizo for $5. Large nachos is $22 Chicken Enchiladas $21 - Corn tortillas filled with the protein of your choice, salsRoma and an amazing blend of Monterey Jack, Mozzarella, and cheddar cheese. Baled to perfection this was served with side of Mexican rice and black beans. The flavours took me back to Mexico, seasoned just right! We received water/drinks and our app quickly, but then, we were left without refills , napkins or anyone checking in until hubby had to get up near the end of our meal. I came here for lunch on a Monday. Lots of tables and very comfortable seating. Very nice decor. I ordered 3 Tacos for $21, and you can mix and match from the classic taco menu. I got the fish, chicken, and steak taco. My favourite was definitely the steak, very big pieces of steak and very tender. The 3 tacos were very filling. Service was fast and our server was very nice. From the moment I stepped in I loved the booths. It was cosy and incredible hand painted mural. Excellent service, fair prices. Food was absolutely delicious and the bathroom was perfection with the toilet paper in a dispenser paper towels, & clean; something that has been hard to find in many restaurants who fail the basics! 3 Marinachi met every need and I was extremely happy eating here! Finally getting around to trying this restaurant. I always thought it was a fast food take out place, however, it turns out to be a sit down restaurant. This is a causal place. We were told to take a seat anywhere so chose a booth. The seating was a little rough, could use reupholstering. We were quickly attended to and orders taken efficiently. Servings are generous. All meals came hot. Chimichanga with Chorizo: The wrap was nice and crisp yet tender. There was a good balance of meat to filling. It was not overstuffed with rice. Yum. Chicken enchiladas: the enchiladas were nice and cheesy. There was a generous amount of chicken. Delicious. This dish comes with rice and beans. The beans were cooked well and had a good flavour. Was pretty impressed with the portion and taco size. Loved the Birria, alongside with consommé. A friend of mine suggested we try this Mexican place njear her place. When we walked in the restaurant looked lively and colourfully decorated. We ordered the Seafood Molajete, which was a large bowl of sizzling seafood that you can make your own tacos with. It was a generous serving plently for two people. Inside had grilled calamari rings, garlic shrimp, two oarms of octopus, mussles and cheese. The sauce it was in was actually pretty tasty. Price was $47.00 which was ok priced. For dessert, I ordered the Banana chimichunga. Which was a single serving of banana wrapped in a tortilla and deep fried, drizzled with dulce de leche and chocoate. It was just right and a good way to end the meal. There was plenty of parking and the restroom was clean and tide. I would come again to try the other dishes they have. read more

I came here as a table for two around 6:10 pm on a Monday night. There was only one other table present when we walked in but I actually think they were supervisors/managers sitting for their own meal. We were told we could sit anywhere so we opted for the booth which was quite comfortable. The place was quite quiet but midway through our meal, they upped the volume on the music which was a real vibe. Service was very friendly. Our server came over immediately, offering to menus for food and drinks. We were also offered water right off the bat. I appreciate that she came to check up on us multiple times and even came to refill out water. Unique to this location, we were offered complimentary sour cream and hot sauce with our food, which was not something that was offered to me at the Woodbridge location - a nice surprise. I would say the food was just as good as the Woodbridge location, as at both, I ordered the QUESABIRRIA. It is priced at $19 but you get your money's worth as the portions are huge, with LOTS of meat. At the Woodbridge location, it came with a side of some sort of salad (tossed) but at this location, I was given a side of lettuce, pickled red onions, and lime - I didn't kind either. By the time we were done, about an hour after, the place had filled up a bit more, about 7-8 parties had come in during our stay. There is like zero mexican food in Richmond Hill so this resto is a very welcome addition to the hood. The best tacos I've ever had outside of mexico were in san diego, los angeles and san francisco (all close to the southern border). These tacos are actually above average even though they don't stack up to the ones down south! Birria tacos: The meat in the birria tacos was very tender and moist. The size of the tacos was on point. I do think there's room for improvement though. While they used the proper oaxacan cheese and the tortilla shell was made fresh, the consummé was not as flavourful as the ones down south. It was slightly peppery but it wasn't nearly as layered as it should've been. Another thing I preferred down south was having the tortilla shells dipped in consummé first before being laid on the griddle (there's a place in SF that actually crisped the outside of the tortilla shell with cheese as well). Fish tacos: My gf really liked these tacos. Her taco experience down in SF was vastly inferior to mine and she actually liked these fish tacos over what she had down south. I took a bite and the white fish was cooked very well. The fish was flaky yet moist and there was a hefty amount of fish. Grilled chicken fajitas: Classic spread with tortillas, rich black beans, rice, salsa, cheese and the sizzling plate of chicken on top of roasted peppers. The black beans at this resto are actually amazing. Better flavour than some restos' black beans down south. I do wish they gave me real oaxacan cheese instead of the traditional, cheap tex mex cheese though. Put everything all together and it was just an explosion of flavour in the mouth. Mariachi platter: I tried this awhile ago when the resto first opened up. It comes with tacos, a burrito and enchiladas so you get to try a lil bit of everything. The enchiladas were a sleeper hit for me. The chorizo is not much to write home about but the platter as a whole is really filling and for under $30 it's a GREAT bang-for-your-buck deal. Parking lot is a bit of a hassle during the weekends as it's always busy. You'll want to park on the Code Ninja side. read more

Stumbled upon this place one Saturday afternoon after going to the wrong Turtle Jack's location. I ordered the beef enchiladas (3 per order) and 9 empanadas (beef, chorizo & chicken). The woman behind the counter was friendly & we engaged in a nice conversation. It was lunchtime so I took everything home which was very well packed. I got 3 small containers of sour cream and 3 hot sauce to go with the enchiladas. There was also a side salad that possibly comes with the enchiladas. Looks can be deceiving as eating 2 enchiladas was filling. It was delicious & the salad I had with it was so refreshing! I didn't have any of the empanadas until later so put them in the toaster over on the convention bake setting. These were really good too! The only downside is when you pull it out of the oven, there is a lot of grease in the catch tray & the plate will hold a small puddle of oil. It is not nice to see how much oil they retain. Wish it wasn't so much but otherwise very tasty. I will definitely go back to try out other menu items. read more

A surprise find since we were suppose to go to the Vietnamese place in the same plaza but happened to be closed on civic holiday Monday! So decided to try this place instead! We ordered the Birria tacos and Fish Tacos! Both came in a takeout container, a lime wedge and sour cream. My only suggestion is to ask if people want sour cream as we don't eat sour cream with our tacos. Hot sauce on the other hand is a must! This has been our go-to Mexican place for the past year! We have tried the Chips and Guacamole, Fish Tacos, Birria Tacos, Grilled Chicken Fajitas, Chicken Quesadillas, and Rice and Beans. We also tried the Fried Ice Cream for dessert and it definitely is a must try! Everything tastes so delicious and authentic and we love everything that we've tried so far! I personally love their rice and beans and it is definitely underrated as a side dish. It's so good that I sometimes literally just order that and a Chips and Guacamole and it would be enough for me as a one person meal already! The atmosphere is very colourful and lively! The place is always so full during meal hours because of how good the food is. Service is really good and they are accommodating with dietary restrictions too! I've had some occasions when I asked for no cheese for the Birria Tacos or special restrictions with the Guacamole and the servers were very nice and patient about it! I would have to only give this 3 stars for overall experience versus my expectations. I am not knocking the establishment with my rating but it's not the normal Mexican restaurant. So my son and I were disappointed. I had just flown into the GTA earlier in the day. We decided grab Mexican for dinner and ended up at 3 Mariachis. We ordered chips and salsa. At 99.9% of restaurants, chips and salsa are complimentary. It wasn't a 3 Mariachis Express. There were two types of of chips and salsa but upon asking the difference, our server couldn't clearly explain. So that was confusing. My son ordered a meal with beef and asked for it to be spicy. He was disappointed with the lack of spice and said it seemed normal. I ordered the a meal with shrimp. The look of the meals were appetizing but the food was bland. The rice was dry and had no flavor. The rest of the meal was just okay but definitely subpar "Mexican". It wasn't nasty but didn't meet the bar of a real Mexican restaurant. The bathrooms were clean. The service was quick. The servers were nice as well. The wall decor was done nicely so it did give a Mexican themed vibe. I would recommend the restaurant if you've never had Mexican food before but if you've been to a Mexican restaurant in the US or Mexico then I think you'd be disappointed. A Mexican bistro opened quietly in Richmond Hill amid the pandemic. It is located in a small mall at the northwest intersection of 16th Avenue and Hwy 404. Per the menu, 3 Mariachis' original ambition was a dine in bistro plus takeout express. The dine-in part didn't panned out when dining in was not permitted in pandemic. The takeout express has strived. We ordered from the express counter and ate at a table in store one weeknight. There were many, I meant almost nonstop, pickups of takeout orders. The food and portion explained the phenomenon. First thing first, soft corn tortillas! Guys, if you have only had flour tortillas before, take it from me that a good corn tortilla make a day and night difference. The meat in a taco or burrito shines brightly without the enjoyment being hindered by a chewy or bland shell. We ordered the Mariachi Platter that included 1 beef burrito, 2 double-shell chorizo tacos and 2 chicken enchiladas. I adored the chorizo tacos. They were fresh, flavourful and stuffed with meat, the way simple and good food should be. The burrito was missionary size. Just very well portioned for 2 people. I liked the beef but not a fan of the rice. I prefer a better bean to rice ratio in a burrito, but it could be just me. And nah, I wasn't impressed by the enchiladas. I cannot put a finger on it, but the enchiladas were more wallflowers than stars of this party. They didn't taste much. All I could say about them was they were drown in cheese. Oh don't forget getting the awesome red and green sauces. Just get and try them even if you don't usually eat spicy. Services were very good and friendly. There aren't many Mexican food places in Markham and Richmond Hill. Even fewer choices that serve corn tortillas. For that reason stay away from the corn and churros, they was cold and mushy/hard by the time we got it. We have tried chimichangas, birria tacos, tamales, nachos and guac, tres leches, enchiladas and fried seafood. All were excellent and portions are big.
