I ended up at 3 Ravens after a disappointing (read: super rude & off-putting) experience at Walk The Line. I inquired about a tattoo, but actually ended up getting my septum pierced with Miki. I didn't intend on getting it done when I came in, but the girls we worked with were so cool, attentive, kind, & just awesome while they switched out my friend's cartilage piercing, I knew I wanted to give them my business as well & go ahead & get the septum piercing I'd been eyeing. The shop is super aesthetic, which I personally like, because if they put that much care into how their shop looks and feels, I know they'll take care of my body, too. Miki was awesome; I get nervous with piercings (definitely more of a tattoo girl) but she put me at ease instantly by saying it was her favorite piercing to do, so I knew I was in good hands. She explained the full process, took her time, and didn't flinch even when I bled more than I expected (she said this was normal!) and my eyes watered like crazy. For anyone considering the piercing -- it all looked & sounded worse than it was! Not very painful at all. i got a septum piercing here about 11 months ago and i absolutely recommend it! i was able to schedule a same-day appointment and everyone there was super friendly and open! i got my piercing done by Kai and would 100% recommend them, they were very attentive and checked in with me frequently to make sure i was feeling well. i had done plenty of research beforehand so i can confirm that the placement of the piercing was perfect! Kai made it quick and painless! they have saline solution and give great advice about healing. my septum has healed with absolutely no issues. also they gave me stickers! great place :) read more

I previously got a wonderful tattoo from a traveling artist they were hosting, and I was really happy with the service and end product. However, I recently tried setting up an appointment along with my girlfriend...only for them to decline (via email) to tattoo my girlfriend as "the artist wasn't interested in taking on this project". No follow-up on why, no recommendation to a different artist, nothing. Would have been fine if they said it was a style that wasn't in the artist's wheelhouse, but to just flat out say "not interested" was really jarring. I got my lobes pierced by Kai and the whole experience was phenomenal. I called in and got a quick appointment for 30 mins later. I was super nervous because this was my first "real" piercing and Kai was the perfect person to pierce me because they walked me through everything they were doing during the process so I always knew what to expect. This is the worst experience I've ever had at a piercing place. I'm not sure who they think they are but charging $35 for nose jewelry is ridiculous. Nonetheless I pay for this $35 nose ring and come to find out it isn't the right size. I call the establishment to see if they can put the piercing in for me, and they say it's $15 JUST TO PUT IT IN MY NOSE. I've lived in New York my whole life and I'm used to paying no more than $10 on a stud, never had a problem with the size, and was NEVER charged to put on a nose ring THAT I BOUGHT THERE. I'm never coming back, nor will I recommend this place to anyone. Overpriced for shitty quality and for something that doesn't even fit. Waste of money. read more

This place is terrible, I mean really. I've came in here in the past, had great experiences, and given this place my business and money. Yesterday my girlfriend had literally the shop minimum, that her mother scraped up to give her for a birthday present. Right in front of her mother the owner of the establishment, claims that doing the tattoo, which she charged 150 for when it was only worth 80 at best, tells her right in front of her family, that shop minimum is not worth this time after we drove all the way there, an hour drive mind you. after telling the owner how I felt about his customer service, we then left for midnight iguana right around the corner, and they gladly did the tattoo for $80 and told me that he basically out-priced us. that means he didn't feel like doing it and jacked up the price because we couldn't afford it. it was her birthday present, and we were with her family, and had been here many times before and this is the way we were treated. it was the worst experience I've ever had at a tattoo shop, keep it local Athens. Go to pain and wonder or midnight iguana, this place shouldn't even exist, all it does is Jack up prices to college kids who know nothing about the cost of tattoos.
