I was a few months into my job search. I was getting quick responses from several companies just based on my resume which was encouraging. I'd talk to the recruiter and they'd quickly pass me onto the next stage (interviews with the lead or team). I always felt they went well but didn't materialize into an offer. I'm a student at Wright in their Women's leadership program (SOFIA) and I have taken a number of…read moreother courses in their career program, their couples program, and in their social and emotional intelligence training program.  I have found their programs to be both motivating and practical, helping me make solid changes in my life.  For example, I am in commission sales in a male dominated industry.  I have gotten practical advise on how to connect with my boss and male colleagues, earned bigger commissions, and how to negotiate for the initial package.  I got married for the first time in my 50's, and it has been much more challenging than I expected.  The couples program has helped my husband and I actually have productive fights, that come to resolution more quickly, and help us feel closer and more connected.  I have met other professional women who I can lean on when I need support in my couple, with my stepdaughter, and in my daily professional challenges.
