I struggled with quitting smoking for years . I tried everything including medications, books and cold turkey. NOTHING worked for me until I made an appointment with Marc at Meridian Peak. I had exhausted all my options when I found Meridian Peak. I'm so thankful that I did! My daughter had been suffering from constant nausea and it was keeping her from living a normal life. I researched hypnosis and found Meridian Peak. When I called the person on the phone (turns out it was Marc) set me at ease and I knew I was in good hands. I was very suspicious when I signed up for hypnosis therapy but I was willing to give it a try. I came in with an open mind. Jodi is my therapist and all I can say is, it works! I find the fact that this company has all 5 star reviews from people who are NOT avid yelpers to be very disconcerting. So I've done more research and found that all reviews for this company either here, google or their website was from the exact same people with the exact same reviews. This made me VERY CAUTIOUS when setting my appointment. I like to know what real people think of a business before I go there...but I do not, under any circumstances, believe those positive reviews are all real people who have just never really yelped before until going there... Once my appointment was set, I got an email informing me to download some paperwork before my visit. There is one piece of paper in this group of papers that was really off putting! The part that was the most concerning to me was the following: " I agree to assume full responsibility for any risks, injuries or damages, known or unknown as a result of participating in hypnosis and hypnotherapy. I knowingly, voluntarily and expressly fully waive any claim I may have against Meridian Peak Hypnosis, Marc Holm, Renata Bulanda and its affiliated practitioners and instructors for any damages and injury." Umm...what?! Why on Earth would I assume full responsibility for damages or injuries brought on by Meridian Peak, Marc Holm or Renata Bulanda? It's outrageous to expect people to sign something like this removing any liability from the company or its employees if THEY mess up and somehow injury a person. I wrote to them letting them know that I would not be able to sign this because it's not my responsibility to keep my from injury when I'm in their care. The guy, Marc, responded and told me he would cancel my appointment because they require anyone who comes there to sign. Phenomenal with first timers! Really takes the time to explain the concept, process, and what to expect during and afterwards. My teenage son who has Aspergers with severe OCD and anxiety had complete trust and is taking everything to heart. On my personal visit, I was encouraged to invite happiness and health into my life and left feeling motivated, happy and inspired. In comparison after I leaving my psychologist I'm usually in tears, frustrated, and feeling like there was no time to resolve anything. I go and see Renata for hypnotherapy. I have a history of anxiety/depression. I purchased a Living Social deal on a whim because I was feeling very stressed with work and had always been curious about hypnotherapy. I tried hypnosis decades ago for the first time, and then a second time right after I returned from a year-long deployment but felt that I was not really a good candidate and didn't get much out of it. This year I decided I would try once again, since other therapies were not getting me as relaxed and in touch with myself as I had wanted. I made an appointment with Renata and we spoke about my direction and desire. I felt like she actually took the time to understand my intended focus - and actually clarify it more for me! I was very comfortable with her and our focus on everything from inner-child work to recovery of Near-Death imagery and awareness were remarkable! She REALLY knows what she's doing! We started mostly with my anxiety and fears, and I feel so much more grounded and serene as a result. She was the first hypnotherapist I chose to do multiple sessions with, and feel has both guided and coached me towards the life I really want for myself. I bought a Groupon for Meridian Peak a few weeks ago. I visited their website and it was very easy to make an appointment through the online scheduling system, and print off the first time patient packet. I google mapped my way there. I walked into ste. 200 (which is a large group of individual business offices) & sat in the big, comfy, white chairs in the waiting room. I arrived 10-15 minutes early, but there was no receptionist or check-in person so I wasn't sure if I was supposed to find someone or just sit. There were other people in other business offices, but they were clearly not associated. I thought this was important to add to the review for anyone who has an appointment, but hasn't gone yet since it may be confusing for some. I sat and waited and Marc approached me about 5 minutes prior to my appointment time. I just want to say, right off the bat, this experience was really great!!! Marc is very knowledgeable and is a natural for this. I can say that my mindset has shifted. I came in for help with public speaking and self-confidence. I feel like a weight was lifted from me. Marc has the ability to really tap into what is going on that needs to shift. He takes the time to talk to you and talk through things so he can really get you to a place of understanding yourself better. I highly recommend his services!
