We reserved chairs and umbrellas for our family vacation weeks prior. We always close out our tab at the end of our trip. When showing up on day 5 of our trip, we asked the "guys working" if we could sit closer to the beach vs further away since there were many set ups with no reservation tabs on them. He let us move in closer but was VERY rude about it. We said thank you and he did not even acknowledge us. He basically told us that they ensure that people who close out their tabs and tip early are the ones who get better upfront access to the beach vs the ones who haven't closed out their tab yet. Never have we encountered this before (we vacation here almost yearly). When do you go to a bar and close out your tab early before you're done....hmmm Also, if you want to work on tips, maybe get off of your "napping butts" and show people where their chairs are instead of just pointing in a general area. Also, I have stayed at Watersound Beach club, and those guys work their butts off for tips. They show you to your chairs and even offer to carry some of your bags. Hint hint... The professionalism of who represents this company is awful. These guys are just napping under their umbrellas while using chewing tobacco (literally sitting on his lap). Super convenient and great service. When we bought our Seagrove Beach condo, we inherited a seasonal contract with 30-A Shade. Each time we called, they were super- responsive. It's a real luxury to not have to hassle with your own beach chairs. When we did have more people than chairs we would set up our own chairs behind our paid for set. In our interaction the guys are very pleasant and helpful. Also, if you've got a beach view it's fun to see them set up and break down. Horrible customer service. I rented a set of chairs with an umbrella on 5/28/26. The guy working the area around Gulf Place told my husband and I to go pick out some chairs that did not have a reserved tag on them. This is what we did. After sitting in the chairs for 5 hours this same employee came up to me, after my husband had gone back to the condo and began to very rudely tell me we should not have gotten those chairs. He said they were for another group but yet they did not have a reserved tag on them. I reminded him of his instructions to us, to find some without a tag. This statement made him mad and he told me we stole the chairs from another group. How did we steal them when they were not marked as reserved and we paid to rent them? I was so embarrassed by his behavior in front of others on the beach. He took the chairs and umbrella and moved them for someone else. When we rented the set he told us he would be by in a few minutes to check on our setup but he did not show up for 5 hours and then he caused a big scene. We were at this location twice last year and never had this problem with 30a Shade. The guys working last year were great but today, the guy was a very rude person. The "boys" who work for them use bad language. Worst company I have ever dealt with. I would recommend staying far from anywhere they are. Just look at the ratings (2 ) and going down fast. Called their boss about their bad language, no one I spoke to cares. Just pay them the money. That's all they care about. I think a class action lawsuit is being put together against them after talking to so many people. They lie to people trying to rent chairs. Their name is made for them or at least the shade part because they are very shady. Everyone can set up chairs and an umbrella in the wet sand in front of them. They will try and bully you and say you can't. You can set up in front of them in the wet sand as long as people can walk past you. If you see any of their chairs or umbrellas set up in the wet sand, call beach patrol and report them. 30A shade is a vendor and is not allowed to set up in the wet sand. Beach patrol is very nice. They will come out and let you know it's ok to set up in the wet sand. Get codes for sitting up in wet sand in front of them. Code will say the wet sand is public. I talked to several families that rented from them, everyone I talked to said they had a bad experience. read more

Sadly the use orange rubber bands to secure the umbrellas and name cards that litter the beach. My son and I found probably 20 in just a couple of hours. It's a shame a company on the beach is so irresponsible when it comes to caring for the beach that their business relies on. I have used this company in past years and have always been satisfied. I can't say the same for this year though. I had 4 chairs and 2 umbrellas reserved with them for my family and when I went down on Sunday, 07-21-24 with my family around 10:00 A.M. to swim on the beach and pay for the rentals I was told that if I wanted a place in the front row near the beach I had to tip the workers 30-40%. I said that I had always given the workers a tip at the end of the week before I leave but the workers said it had to be paid up front. So I gave them a $20 for the next day and they said that it had to be more or they couldn't guarantee a spot up front. The next day my chairs and umbrellas were several rows back. Don't use this company, the workers were very rude and their chairs and umbrellas were not in the best shape for what to pay to rent them. read more

We paid $260 for 6 days of beach service (2 chairs and umbrella) and also tipped 20% in cash to the attendant upon booking when we arrived on a Sunday. We were satisfied with the first 3 days and then on day 4 we took a half day excursion to Crab Island and didn't even use the chairs we had paid for that day. When I arrived on Day 5 and 6 we were not given any chairs and I had to find an attendant to help me and then was given a hard time about not being on the list? Guess you guys need to keep better records than the piece of paper on a clipboard and try being friendlier to customers who have paid for a full week instead of treating them like they haven't paid! My family rented a home in Summers Edge at Rams Gate beach access and used this service. Read many complaints prior but hoped for the best. I booked a month prior and was told you pay on last day and don't pay on rain out days. Our 2nd day he came around demanding payment or he refused to set up chairs. When I questioned this "new POLICY" that was not mentioned even when I called 2 days prior to arrival, he responded in a rude,arrogant and derogatory way. I would expect dealing with a person of his character on a carney beach, but not in this area! Totally unrepresentative of the surrounding family community. Then he proceeded to place our group way back from the water remainder of week. All of the management companies need to push these two out and recruit a new company. Their behavior and monopolization of the beach is enough to make me reconsider booking there again. There were many people upset last week. I was staying at Eastern Shores and one of the guys started verbally assaulting me and then making physical threats. He said I was not allowed to have a shade tent up on the private beach that I was renting a condo at. Needless to say, this company is terrible and is taking over the beaches at 30A. They take up all of the beach front (many with unrented chairs) and then they have employees that are rude, mean and violent. This is a horrible company. On top of overpricing you they put you all over the beach. Here you are hunting your chairs with a small card with your last name on it up and down the beach. They move you everyday even if you pay $700 plus for a week of beach service. We had rain and they started closing the umbrellas on top of you, literally. Funny though they didn't close the ones where there were no families or the ones that had all of their personal items under it. An umbrella took flight another day and the kid was so into his phone he didn't even see it. The family was chasing it down before it hit someone. Last day they put us in the second row. Don't come relying on your rental to be set even if you made the reservation months in advance. Our name was left off the list given to the guys working on the beach, so our chairs were not out. Then was told we'd have to be on the 2nd row for that day if we did the reservation then. $50 for a day on the 2nd row isn't worth that. I called the main number to get our reservation straight for the 2nd day, and the guy was rude and not helpful. Told us to see the boys on the beach and we were still not guaranteed front row. My husband set up our chairs at the Eastern Lake access just as he does almost every weekend because we live there. When we got there a couple of hours later these jerks had put up a row of chairs and umbrellas right in front of our chairs. He called them and was told that they were on private property and could put the chairs anywhere they like. I didn't know that anyone OWNED the Eastern Lake. Because we had our chairs directly between the lake and the gulf on the sand. So disappointed! We come to Blue Mountain every year and this year they never got our chair setup correct. We paid for 2 sets and one complimentary. Notes were made the first day to combine the complementary chairs and every day we had to wait for them to be set up and they just crowded them together or a row behind us. We used 30A Shade at Dune Allen Beach. The chairs and umbrella were set up promptly at 7 a.m. and taken down at 6 p.m. Staff was courteous and friendly. If I could leave zero stars I would. This place is a joke. Our condo came with beach set up. Keep in mind we have been staying here for over 5 years and usually come twice during the summer. We always go to the same beach access. The first day was great my husband goes out early to put our stuff on the chairs and we didn't even get asked about our name or anything. We go the next day down and all of our stuff is moved to the back row. When NO ONE is using the chairs in the front. Some kid comes over and rudely says we cant sit there and need to get up because these are reserved and they are first come first serve. We refused to get up and he of course called the owner who is a very rude man. Literally took the chairs that we were sitting on out from under us. I just can get over how RUDE this guy was. We got this condo bc it has the chair device included...if I would have know I would have gotten last pick I would have PAID for the front row. Also he is a freaking liar! Saying he has to make the house happy and rent to them yet everyone that was on that beach was from gulf place. Clearly it's all about the money. He was also scaring my small child. Very unhappy with the service we received with this company at Gulf Port. We paid for the chairs from 9am-5pm. At 3pm they came around and started closing up everyone's umbrellas stating it was too windy. Nothing had changed from the morning. We know why...they just wanted to make everyone leave so they could start packing up the chairs. And people did...people started leaving because the sun was shining, and it was beautiful not a cloud in the sky. Even private umbrellas that are vry cheaply made were staying up great. It was a normal beautiful day at the beach. But, interesting the attendants left their 3 umbrellas up to sit under. When my husband asked why they could leave theirs up they told him it was because the way they have them positioned. We said..."we've got 3 umbrellas and 6 chairs position ours" He would not. My husband went back over and decided to sit under the umbrellas w the attendants to get out of the sun. The attendant start ripping the umbrellas out of the sand and throwing them all over. By 5pm they had every single chair and umbrella put up...so they were literally breathing down our necks to get out of our chairs for the last 2 hours. Will never use this company again. read more
