Decided to stop by after a long day at the state fair. They were basically one of the only restaurants on the area still open after 8pm. My mom and I placed a to go order for 20 piece wings. You could choose up to 2 flavors and receive 2 dipping sauces either ranch or blue cheese. The food didn't take long after we ordered. The restaurant had an ample amount of seating for guests. The buttery lemon pepper wings needed more seasoning and butter. From the little bit of seasoning I tasted it was okay. The mild wings were just that mild. However, I did like the crispiness of the wings. The fries were a little darker than expected but weren't fully cooked. They are natural cut , which I love. I'll try them again earlier in the day since I ordered close to closing time. read more

We order the lemon butter wings with fries. I expect them to be dripping with sauce per the name but they were more of a dry rub. If I'm honest I enjoy the fires and ranch sauce more than the wings. Service was great. I'd visit again for something different to try. read more

I was craving a salad with the good ranch, iykyk. I ordered online but the ordering platform was down and I didn't know until I got in there and they hadn't received the order, so I suggest calling before. The salad was good- it wasn't exactly what I was expecting but it met the craving. The salad is just shredded iceberg, the meat for the chef was cubed ham and turkey with shredded cheese and cucumbers, onions and tomatoes. Everything was super fresh though. We also got a couple tenders in buffalo sauce. I'm not sure if it's the norm, or if it was due to the mix up on ordering, but the beffalo fried tenders were also covered in Parmesan cheese. The wings were good. I had Buttery Lemon Pepper and Chilli. I also had off the menu Philly Cheese Steak Egg Roll Apps. Delicious!!! The house salad 2/10. Not to fond of shredded lettuce but ahhh. Does anyone in the restaurant business care about what they are giving people. I have ordered the chef salad at least 10 times previously and it was good. Tonight not so good. Huge slice of cucumber and only the bottom of a green pepper and one slice of it. The wife got wings and they were over done. I had the 10 piece mild wings. They came out hot and crispy and the sauce was great. I really enjoyed eating these wings. The owner came out and introduced himself and chatted a little. I had a chance to try the Carolina Reapers wings and fried zucchini fries as well. The Carolina Reaper wings were extremely hot but good. I'm writing this from the chair in the restaurant. First - don't believe the bad service reviews. Took my order when I sat down and it took 12 minutes to cook - well worth it. I travel every week and I usually get wings in the small towns and big cities I go to. These wings are big and meaty wings. Fred's Sauce is a buffalo lemon pepper with Parmesan cheese. Have been going here since before it was 301 Wingz. Chicken is always great. Fried zucchini are wonderful as long as they cut them into smaller fry shapes instead of the larger spears ( these tend to be soggy). Fries are decent. Mr Sam's Chicken is good as well. And the spaghetti special on Wednesdays is a great deal which our office often partakes of. The gyros are tasty but not phenomenal. The cheeseburger wrap is typically my favorite - just ask them to go light in the ale mustard as sometimes it can be a little heavy. A little goes a long way with this powerful sauce. The last time we went this week the bartender made some pitiful mixed drinks for our party - if you do not have the required ingrediants to make a drink that is ordered the. You tell the customer not make a substitution. Customers will notice when yiu forget the orange juice and use pineapple juice instead! Have eaten in at least 10 times now and the service is always lacking. Half the table's food comes out and the other sit waiting almost 10 minutes for theirs. Ask for ketchup or ranch which never comes. And very slow to get food and checks when you ask for them. Made us late back from lunch. Won't be going on our dinner break to eat in anymore. read more

First time here. Just visiting Fayetteville for the week. Good place to watch Sports, Go Cowboys, and eat. Tried the cheeseburger wrap and 10 pc wing [Rajun Cajun/Garlic Parm]. All really good. Good prices. Wings are really crispy and juicy, not meaty and chewy. They also serve the dipping sauces in squirt condiment bottles and don't limit what you want to put on the wings. -1 for the creepy guy in the corner staring and asking me questions about what I'm looking for...oh wait...he's the manager. I stopped by 301 Wings after getting off work. I needed a quick dinner before I went to the local high school basketball game. I was promptly greeted whenever I entered the restaurant. The young lady at the register made sure that I was seated as soon as possible. My waitress (Britt) came to the table and took my order. She appeared to be very knowledgeable about the various items on the menu. The wait time for my food was not long at all. I ordered the 10 piece tenders and made it a combo. The food was piping hot and delicious. My drink never got below half full before my waitress was filling it up again. Overall I give this place a 10. I have never, ever been this disappointed in a restaurant. I ordered ten wings, a gyro, fried pickles, and Mr. Sam's chicken. To start the giant lists of mistake off, I paid FIFTY dollars for four items. Then, didn't receive my food until an hour and a half later, with no phone call or explanation from my driver. Then, my wings were missing nearly half of them; my parmesan garlic was just baked wings with parmesan cheese POORLY sprinkled on, no garlic to speak of. There was NO winning factor. I will never order from here again, and am insanely pissed off I just gave them fifty dollars for food my dog could have made. Edit: I received a phone call today stating that the owner was disappointed with how I felt about his wings, because he truly believes they are better than what I received. I increased my rating from 1 star to 3 stars because I personally appreciate the effort he went through just to make sure I was pleased. I will be giving them another try (because I know everyone has off days) and I am hoping that I can change this 3 star to a 5 star. read more

The food was very good! We had wings and the hand cut fries and all were great. The waitress was very good!! However they only had 1 waitress for lunch time...but the most disturbing thing was the staff in the kitchen were literally screaming at each other going round and round the big metal table and it appeared they were going to get physical...not sure if we should stay or leave!! We've been here several times over a few years. The food and service are hit or miss. Friday evening was another story though. We sat down and waited for over 15 minutes for a waitress to even acknowledge us. Then she said she'd be back in one second to take our order. 5 more minutes passed with nobody coming by even though several groups that came in after us already had their drinks and ordered. It's not good enough to wait that long for a waitress so we left. We'll be trying the new Wing Company downtown next time. In response to Marshall's comment. When I called back she had no idea what the order was and we had to go through it a second time. We picked up the order and when we got home realized they left half of the order out. We called again and they said, for whatever reason, they separated our order and it was sitting at the register. Today I called to order wings, I wanted 25 hot and 25 lemon pepper....I told her I wanted lots of blue cheese and ranch. She told me I only get four sauces....four sauces y'all, with 50 wings or I'd have to pay extra. This is never happened usually they ask if you want extra sauce and put it in a small white bag for you but not today. So I asked to speak to the manager, it took so long, that I just hung up. My phone rings back and the gentleman introduces himself as the owner and I just simply said I just have one question.....if I order 10 wings how many sauces do I get, he said two....so I said " I get two for 10 wings and you're telling me for 50 wings I only get four he said yes. As an Accountant, that just doesn't add up, so to make a long story short I won't be spending anymore of my money there (and I'm sure they won't lose any sleep or business) because how do you lose $60 over, over two or three small sauces, that only have 2 tablespoons of sauce in each one? read more

So this was my first time here, and I would go back. First let me give my criticism. I believe the price is kind of high especially for appetizers, and they really could use a remodel in the dining room. The seats are all tore up and it looks old in there. Four stars on what planet? Maybe the wings are good. I can't speak to those. I had the ribs which are C- on their best day which was today because I would've eaten anything after a 15hour drive. This place can't decide if it's a firefighter- themed wing place a sports pub or a thumping hip hop club. Cleanliness; forget it. I might need to drink bleach to kill the bacteria I've already injested. Service: trying to find a staff member actually working and not trying to hook up is near impossible. Getting a tap beer to drink is equally impossible. Lessons were learned. Do not eat anywhere when you are hungry and you know it doesn't meet basic standards. Don't walk in if you are witnessing the beginnings of a gang homicide. Do not trust a 4 star review. Trust your instincts. Now that the flames have died down, let me be me more specific. I would like my review to help you. I don't retract anything I've said but with feedback and good management maybe be you can reverse what I experienced. Or at the very least someone besides me will learn from this. The parking area is part of your domain. Customers shouldn't feel threaten when the come in by loiterers. People were actively arguing and pushing each other. Maybe this was a one time thing but doubt it. When left the other side of the lot was not ripe with activity. We took a seat as far away from that as possible. Upon entering we stood there as waitresses passed us by repeatedly until some finally told us to sit anywhere we like. There was an abundance of waitresses yet we couldn't get a drink or a menu for 10 minutes. When we finally did get a beer we drank it over 10 minutes and the empty beer glasses sat for 15 minutes more! The only way we got another beer was when our order was received. That was because we interrupted the server and asked for another beer before she ran off without noticing the empty glasses she reached over. I even tried to flag down other waitresses but they were too busy to be bothered or we were not their problem. There were about 10 people in the place and about 4 waitresses in the main section. I personally observed two waitresses go to tables after the female patrons went to the restroom. I know the men usually pay so this may be in attempt to solicit bigger tips. But giving phone numbers isn't usually part of that. I even I've heard one waitress say to another 'he turned me down' like she was insulted. And then stating she already had a boyfriend and didn't really need him. Start with the basics. Observe your staff. Correct behavior or change them out. If we were served promptly we wouldn't have all that time to observe how poorly things were run. Have you been in the men's restroom? Toilet wouldn't flush. No soap. No towels. So much debris on the floor. This was to be outdone by the linoleum worn down into the cement floor. Tables all had crumbs on them. We picked the cleanest one we could find and asked for it to be cleaned. Then wiped it down myself because it wasn't. Again, basic stuff. No money to renovate then at least clean what you have and try to make it functional. Although I was tired from travel I was looking forward to some good local food and a beer. I've been to badly managed poor service places with inexperienced staff that I return to because they had great food. You didn't have that going for you either. I've been to NC many times. I've had fantastic food and I've had so-so food. Yours was on the lower end of the latter. The best thing was the French fries which we were asked if we wanted ranch with. When we asked for ketchup it was like I was speaking a foreign language. Even the busiest places still retain their southern charm. You have a lot to work on. Let this help you start! read more
