Our son got married this past September and I was asked by them to help out with the reception table decorations. I'd never done anything like this before. As I started reaching out to florist, very few returned my calls. And seemed uninterested in the job because the wedding was in Ouray CO. (5/6 hour drive) The happy couple were not exactly sure what thy wanted and ideals and plans changed plenty!!! As we started getting closer to the date. I began to panic. And a close friend suggested I check with my grocery store. So...we were picking up some items and I popped over to the flower dept. this is when I met the florist at my store, Gigi!!! And I cannot thank this women enough for all her help! She had suggestions and recommendations! She kept me level headed and calm. She was amazing!!! As we started the process of telling her what we were invisioning, this women new exactly what we were wanting! And!! As it turned out...we not only had Gigi help with the reception floral decorations, she helped with the buffet tables right down to the brides bouquet and the throw away bouquet and the grooms boutonnières! Even flowers and greenery for the brides hair all the way down to the flowers for the venues restrooms! Our situation as a little different because the wedding venue was a 6 hour drive. So... Gigi worked so very hard and diligently to make sure we have everything's needed to make the bride and groom and the venue look beautiful! She had all the roses and flowers stripped and clean and ready for us to place in forty vases for the tables. All the flowers and greenery were in buckets of treated water and ready for us to pick up the Thursday before the wedding so we could drive it all up to Ouray in our camper. It was truly amazing! And everything was so beautiful! She made it so much easier for us all. And even made herself completely available for me to call her with any problems or questions I had the entire weekend if the wedding! In fact! She wanted so badly to come and help out but had prior obligations. Keep in mind that I didn't reach out to her till about 6/7 weeks prior to wedding. Which was not much time at all and she worked her magic! She also had helper named Carisa who handled a different department at this store. But was there helping Gigi out many times when Id come into the store to discuss new ideals. Oh my gosh! They saved me from so much worry and stress! I will always ask Gigi for help whenever I need any help with flowers for any events in the future and highly recommend the Safeway store florists whenever I can! Thank you Gigi! And Carisa! And anybody else that helped make this wedding so beautiful and memorable! Thank you!!!
