There was an employee that was staring at his phone outside the entrance and when we walked into the store, he slowly walked in behind us, still staring at his phone. We looked around a little, noticeably confused, and after a few minutes, he looks up from his phone and asks what we're looking for. We told him and he just points over to the front corner, never offering to do a size check or ask any more details. He went right back to staring at his phone after answering. That video was deceiving unfortunately. Save your gas and go to men's wearhouse.

Whenever he spoke to us, his voice was sharp, almost commanding and he seemed to be rushing us, whereas I observed him speaking very mildly to a White male customer. After I purchased a vest for my grandson, I observed the man inspecting the dressing room that my grandson used to try on vests before he went to inspect the vest area, as though he suspected us of some kind of wrong doing. I will never spend my money there again. Suit City has definitely lost a customer.

Today I went to the Marshall located at 1421 Town Square Blvd, Roanoke, Virginia. Very close to the Golden Corral here. When I entered the store, one of the first things I saw were the carts lined up with a sign on the wall behind them that read: "grab a cart You're gonna need it." Then up front as you entered the store there was a table with blue tablecloth with a sign: "We're Hiring." and under this: "The best jobs never go out of style." And there was a Marshall's employee near it to answer any question you might have and encourage you to apply. From there I walked the different departments such as shoes, laugage, and went to view some items that would make great gifts at reasonable prices. I saw some neat mugs and some popular Japanese soup bowls. I encourage the readers of my review to view my photographs that accompany this review to get a sense of the many items you can find here. I noticed that many of the items were not that well organized nor neatly arranged. But maybe that is why they're hiring. Sometimes you can find more desirable merchandise more than orders. For example during the Holiday Season of Thanksgiving and Christmas. One of the things I enjoy purchasing there are the picture frames. They always have a nice variety at reasonable prices that you can take home to use for yourself or give as a gift. In conclusion, I find Marshall's as a neat store to go shopping to. Many people just go to window shop there and find themselves leaving with a large bag of things.

The employee double bagged my purchase and I was thankful for that because the bag would have ripped had it not been.

I walked in with little hope of finding anything useful, but lo and behold, I ended up with perfect little work shoes that were on 30% off the sticker price! The disappointment is that 1) we had to wait a few moments at checkout for someone to come and assist us; 2) the checkout person didn't greet us until I did; 3) and charged more than what she was supposed to. Still, I think retail shops like this have value to us, and hope the whole retail scene is revived in some way.

So today, I followed her instructions , drove back with the Husqvarna pressure washer and a group of employees hovered around, discussing time off and when they would be leaving and told me that their computers cannot hold data/purchase information more than a few months and that Ollie's does not carry this brand. In other words, they do not have a protocol that they teach their representatives, their computers can only spit out advertisements and they consider customers liars. I hope not to go back to the Roanoke Ollie's. Lynchburg's associates are able to interact professionally and know their own policies.

Talbots customer service located one in Roanoke (it turns out they had two!), so I called right away, spoke with Kathy and she shipped it to me the next day. It arrived in a couple of days and I noticed it had a little smudge of something on it. I was crushed and thought "I'll never find my sweater!". I called back, Kathy was not in but I spoke with Olivia who found the other one and shipped that to me, as well as a pre-paid package to send the other one back. She no said that they barely had any, I said ok thanks anyway.
