The condominium won a lawsuit and recently upgraded the whole exterior (including windows and doors) in 2014. It looks like a new complex. The interior features high ceilings, BIG walk-in master closets, and an efficient use of space overall. I might have quiet neighbors, but I rarely hear them beside and above me. The amenities are what you'd expect; a gym, pool, tennis area, a car wash area (yay!) and a gated entrance. It's also very dog friendly - there are numerous poo-bag stations and a small dog park. Dogs definitely outnumber children! Speaking of the lack of children... this makes for a very relaxing poolside experience. :)

Meanwhile they have our money and refuse to cancel our reservation because VRBO will charge them a penalty. T'lene wants us to cancel on VRBO but we can't because we will be charged a penalty. Buyer beware. These people are crooks! T'lene is a scammer!

The entire process was so easy and everyone I spoke to at Historic Charleston B&B was very friendly and accommodating. We were offered an earlier flight and came in way earlier than expected. We called to ask if we could leave our bags and come back for the 4pm check-in, but they let us check in early! Highly recommend booking one of their beautiful properties for an authentic Charleston visit.

But on the night of my sons wedding, aftervthe wedding we went to the beach bar, it had an hour and a half before it closed. I told the bar tender I'd have an open tab for my son - not the one getting married - and his friends, 6 guys. All was good till the bar tenders allowed everyone to order drinks on my tab, we were told by a stranger they were told no worries drinks on me - they used my last name. When checking out I saw my $2,000 bar bill, protested and was told sorry we'll fix it. Nothing happened, so I called explained my issue .Asked for a manger, was told one would call me back - nothing. I feel ripped off! I think this is unacceptable and want all to know... shame maybe a good brand will buy them, till then never staying here again. We go to Charleston 5 times a year and stay in hotel 20 ish nights a year. Oh well back to the Mill house.

They apparently read YELP Reviews but do not return phone calls to the residents that live in their communities. Residents wouldn't have to post Yelp Reviews if AMCS would return their phone calls, or respond to their e-mails regarding the matters addressed in my initial review. It's not that people want to voice their concerns in public forums but people have a right to know what others have experienced as residents within an AMCS community, at that point they can make an informed decision as to whether or not they would choose to live in one. Thank you Jaime K. (From AMCS) for pointing out that at one time my regime fees were behind, I already mentioned that in my review of the attorney that AMCS utilizes to handle their legal matters. I'm glad that you brought that up, people should read that review as well when making a decision as to whether or not to reside in an AMCS Community.
