Our waitress Brenda was so nice. She moved us to a more comfortable table with comfortable chairs. Everything we had was really great. We ordered Jalapeno Stingers and Chicken Fried Steak. Everything was delicious and seasoned well. The decor was like a old timey saloon and they had huge homemade chocolate chip cookies at the register I couldn't resist we will definitely be coming back and recommend this place to you if you are on your way to Rockport. This is a good homestyle cooking spot in a tiny Texas hamlet. The decor is is typical for a small town. The staff was attentive, polite, and efficient. The food was tasty. I had the 1/2 portion of CFS. My wife had a burger. Both were delicious. I doubt I'll ever end-up in this area again, but if I do, I will return to eat here. read more

The family and I stopped here on our way back to North Texas. There is a nice bar and plenty of seating for families. I ordered a fried snapper plate with rice and onion rings, my kids had hamburgers with fries, and the wife had stuffed crabs with vegetables. Now, let me begin with, in my opinion is the most important thing about this place. ALL the fried food was cooked to perfection, and there was no grease left over on my plate, on the food or in any bite I took! That ladies and gentleman is hard to do, and these folks pulled it off with style . The restaurant has plenty of parking and the bathrooms were clean. When we arrived, there was a good bunch of people already in the dining room and one server. She greeted us, touched our table multiple times, and answered all our questions... Even though she was in the weeds, she was a rock star, and the little wait was worthwhile! I will definitely visit this place again next time we are in town. The only reason I left 4 stars is because there is room for improvement from a management standpoint, but staff, cleanliness, and deliciousness were 5 STARS! I highly recommend! read more

The decor is original and really inviting. Clean and just what is perfect anytime. Five stars for me is reserved for perfect experiences. My only complaint was the waitress. Clearly, she must have been working all day because she pulled her order pad from her pocket and slapped it down on the table saying "what can I get you?" Service was okay. If we're hungry on our way to Rockport we usually stop at the DQ in Tivoli (that seriously takes foreveerrrrrr) but this time we ordered ahead and picked up from 35 & Main and were so pleased!! My burger was delicious and my husband said his shrimp poboy was amazing, They were super fast cooking/ getting our food ready, servers were incredibly nice and the inside is very nice and clean. First time going here today based on friends recommendation. The service was great for a Sunday. Had the fried pickles as an appetizer and chicken fried steak for lunch. The portions were large and the prices were very reasonable. The atmosphere was more of a bar setting with a restaurant on the side, but still had a family setting. This place would be great for a Friday or Saturday outing with friends. The tables are large and each has an ice chest in the center to keep the drinks nice and cold. Puts a different twist on a bucket of beer. A lid fits over the opening if you don't want to use it. read more

Great dinner tonight at 35 & Main! The shrimp chicken embrochette are delicious and come with fries which was an unexpected bonus. The grilled shrimp salad was one of the best salads I have ever had.
