    On the rocks pina colada
    Tiffaney C.

10/10 The food was phenomenal we had the Jack & Coke burger & the chicken pesto Sammie, both exceeded expectations! We order a top shelf marg with casamigos repo & honestly it was the best marg I've ever had, ever. I'm a hugeeee marg brat! We also tried the house pina colada on the rock with a dark rum floater and it was delightful. You order food at the counter so you don't have a server, but service at the counter was excellent; very kind, attentive and fun. The vibe is low key chill tiki bar, such a cute place! Definitely recommend. We will return!

I have been wanting to come to Lelo's because I heard they have the best pina coladas. I have come twice before but the wait for food was always "1 hour" as said by the host. Saturday evening happened to be the day that I decided to be patient and take a chance and wait on this place. I ordered the Lelo divide and it was honestly not good at all. I thought it was going to be frozen but it was just a ton of pineapple juice, dark rum, and some ice. I took a sip and the drink was actually warm....... didn't taste any strawberry daiquiri in it as stated it was a mix of strawberry daiquiri and pina colada. Oh and by the way this entire place is pretty much "self serve". You have to go up to the bar to order drinks and your food. No one waits on you to refill your drinks or offer water. Ordered our food, we got 3 cheeseburgers and a chicken strip basket (4 people). I was excited about the chicken strip basket because it looked really great in the photo online. However, after an HOUR AND A HALF of waiting for our food, it came out looking like the photo i attached... It actually also tasted like Tyson. Overall, this is a place you're not missing out on if you decide to skip over due to the crowds. It's not all it's hyped up to be and it will probably take 2 hours to get your food even when the restaurant is not busy. Apparently they only have one person working in the kitchen so do with that information as you please. I will not be returning to this place as someone who visits Port A frequently. It's not the "best burgers on the island" it's the "LONGEST FOOD WAIT ON THE ISLAND".

Food was great! Order at the bar & self seating indoors & outdoors. Dogs welcome too!

    A $15 frozen drink ;)

Solid "Island Vibes" on this just off the beach spot. We didn't eat but the food looked solid. Frozen's drinks were tasty but be prepared to pay a premium for them. PBR was $5 with a .75 cent tip so that's not terrible but prices were a premium given they beach bum experience.

Lelos is a solid 4. Probably 5 if I would have had another one of their delicious frozen pain killers! I always contend,if demand is there resturant operation is not rocket science. Now,Lelo may be a rocket scientist but,he didn't need to be, to land on the perfect formula. Now class,do you remember what the formula is? Good food+ pleasing drink+ atmosphere+service+ reasonable prices= I would go back . Port Aransas having gone through many transfigurations is a hard town to eat in. Decades ago before the tourist arrived en mass, 2 cafes dishing out requisite Gulf fried seafood made everyone happy. Not these days. With the national attention Port Aransas is receiving, all stripes are showing up and as a result you have a lot of " tourist traps". So,when I do eat out,I carefully scout and research my options as to not spend a fortune on disappointment. Lelos showed up on my radar and a smash burger was in order. Perfectly cooked, crispy caramelized edges, fresh lettuce, tomato and onions on a soft white toasted bun. Home Run! My dining mates Blue Cheese burger was equally as impressive. All coupled with hot crispy fries They have quite a drink selection also. I went for a frozen pain killer and was floored. Delicious. I could have drank those all afternoon. Go!

Such a cute beachside spot! Great vibe. The wait was long for food on a Friday night. I got the ahi tuna wrap. It was advertised as rare but the tuna was definitely very well done, which had a weird texture to it. Fries were great. Drinks were great. Wish the tables were cleaner, every table felt a l sticky.

Super cute little tiki bar on Port A! We loved the theming centered around Christmas and New Year's - the decor, lighting and special drink menu was spot on! Walk up to the bar to order and pick up your drinks, then have a seat at one of their several cocktail tables. Great place to catch up with friends, grab a bite and enjoy a game or two!

Leli's Bar in Port Aransas was a solid stop for a casual bite. Nothing over-the-top or mind-blowing, but everything we ordered was good We had the chicken strips and the Jack and Coke burger. It was a little sweet, a little savory, and cooked well.

    Pablano burger with Rings

This place rocks! They have plenty of fun drinks on the menu but we just grabbed a bite. I went for the Pablano burger with jalapenos added along with some rings. Both were excellent and my buddy got cheese curds and those were just as good. The only problem with the place is the parking is pretty limited.

I wasn't sure what to expect from this small Texas beach town, but Lelo's Island Bar certainly showed out! The spot was quaint but decorated adorably, with a strong island vibe and fun music. The tiki drinks were delicious, served in fun tiki glasses and fresh garnish. They also had a sizeable food menu that offered both bar snacks and full blown entrees. This was definitely a fun stop and I'd go back!

My family and I ALWAYS make sure to stop by Lilo's when we're in town! A bit on the pricey side, especially for our family but nonethless worth every penny! You pick your own seats, inside or out - we always chose to sit outside with their play area for the kiddos. Although it does take a good minute to have your food brought out, i could never complain - everything always tastes fantastic. I'm a sucker for the cute cups they serve they're cocktails in, which is also fantastic. They do have a smaller menu, which is fine by us - everyone always leaves happy and full. Until next time, Port A!

Ask the Community - Lelo's Island Bar

Do you have live music in the evenings?

I've never seen live music there in the off season... (Oct - April)

    Is smoking allowed outside?

Yes it is. Just don't leave you cigarette butts on the ground!!

Do they have a gluten free bun option?

    Yes they do

    Are dogs allowed?

Yes, on the back patio! They even have water bowls for the dogs!!!

With the Jack & Coke Burger on the menu, I have to ask if this place is related to Wildhorse Saloon that shut down after Harvey. It was my favorite PA burger. Same chef maybe?

    No. They are new owners.

We found the food to be acceptable, but very slow action out of the kitchen. My guess is they were shorthanded there, because many tables wee not occupied. Fortunately the bar must have been fully staffed, because the drinks came out post haste. Try the crab tower as appetizer, though it could serve as a light lunch too. The soft shell crab Po Boy was good, with two very large ones, but the sauce that came on the side left us wanting something different. We also had the Ahi salad and the fish taco. We waited about 30 minutes for a table, and fortunately grabbed some of the few places to wait sitting down.

We arrived around 8:00 p.m. and waited about 45 minutes to an hour just to be seated. Once we were finally seated, we ordered a dozen oysters, three waters, two cocktails, and mac and cheese for our daughter. The drinks finally came, but they were incredibly weak. The biggest disappointment was the mac and cheese--it tasted like plain boxed Kraft macaroni, which was shocking for a restaurant. We placed our dinner order and then waited another hour and 45 minutes without receiving any food. By this point, it was 10:30 p.m., and our daughter had already finished eating and was exhausted. Our waiter, Kalen, was actually very polite, energetic, and apologetic throughout the night. He kept checking in and apologizing for the kitchen delays, so I don't blame him, he could have had an upper hand- and gotten aggressive and made an impact on timing. Unfortunately, after waiting nearly 2 1/2 hours from the time we arrived, we still never received our meals. My husband had to go to the front twice to cancel our order because we finally gave up and left hungry. The waiter again was nice but he could have done more and the manager competed our water and our daughters Mac and cheese. When we walked out - she had the audacity to give us a sad face - maybe you should have thought about your feelings while trying to get our food. It was truly a disgusting and horrible experience. We understand restaurants get busy, but waiting that long without food or any meaningful communication is unacceptable. We won't be returning. Other tables were being sat after us and actually left while we were still waiting that had received their food and paid. Extremely disappointed and will NEVER GO BACK.

While the…read morefood was done well and our waiter was attentive, the atmosphere was anything but welcoming. Upon arrival, the hostess insisted we look at the menu before entry because "our menu is a little strange," or something along those lines. While this was certainly a strange greeting, we still, of course, wanted to eat at the restaurant, as we had already looked at the menu prior to arriving. As if I wasn't already feeling unwelcome enough, the hostess also thought it relevant to mention that we barely got there in time because they would stop taking tables after us, even though they had an entire hour before closing. On top of all this, the hostess made comments about where I decided to sit, saying something along the lines of, "Are you sure you want to sit over there? It looks too sunny." So, after being told that my palate might not be sophisticated enough to indulge in their premium cuisine, and essentially being told that we were an inconvenience for coming in an hour before close, yes, please question the spot that I am choosing to be seated in. Lastly, I also overheard a waitress complain about not being able to leave because a party was still eating (despite there still being 45 minutes before close). Overall, the atmosphere from the staff was unwelcoming and unprofessional. The food is the only thing that may bring me back in the future.

It's open-air and sits right on the dock, so you're literally eating over the water, which makes for a fun experience. At first, I was a little disappointed because I realized they had changed their menu and some of the items I was looking forward to were no longer available. But we decided to stay and give it a chance, and I'm glad we did. I ordered the Build Whatever with blue crab on a bun. The blue crab was fresh, well-seasoned, and really flavorful. I also got an aioli sauce on the side, which paired perfectly with it. My husband ordered the Poke Tuna Wrap, and it was phenomenal. I ended up loving his meal so much that I'll definitely be ordering it myself next time. We also shared the ceviche, which came with tostadas and saltines. It tasted incredibly fresh and was the perfect thing to eat on a hot day. One thing to note is that they don't serve any fried food, but everything we ordered tasted fresh and high quality. Their cocktails were excellent as well. I had a raspberry lemonade cocktail, although I can't remember the name of it. It was delicious and refreshing. Overall, the food, drinks, atmosphere, and waterfront setting made for a really enjoyable experience. We'll definitely be back.
