    Rock Climbing - Level 5.6
    Priya S.

360 Adventures private rock climbing was a fantastic experience all-around. Matt was an excellent guide- patient, energetic, and caring. I have never rock climbed outdoors before, but wanted to experience beautiful Arizona so I thought why not try it on a weekend trip down there. I am so happy I did it! At first scared, working with Matt I was able to conquer a few different climbs increasing in difficulty with each one. I was happy that I challenged myself and experienced something different and new. It is very pricey especially if you are going solo, but worth it if you are interested in new experience and adventure. Arizona is the perfect place to rock climb due to the beautiful mountainous regions and warm weather. Would highly recommend! TIP: Go early in the morning, the Arizona sun really get to you by noon! TIP: FYI- There will be insects and bees!

360 Adventures has a huge variety of things to do. Whether you live in the Phoenix area or are visiting, want an extreme adventure or a family outing you should check out their website. They offer everything from Kayaking and rock climbing to Grand Canyon tours. If you want to get out, give them a call and they will set you up with a tour you will always remember. The first tour I did with them was Canyoneering and it was an experience like no other. They even took some great pictures of me repelling off a waterfall! I loved it so much I went back to them to sign up for a hot air balloon ride (a Christmas gift for my mom.) A champagne brunch was included. I have also done the Sedona horse back riding and Sedona jeep tour. All highly recommended.

5 of us had a great time canyoneering with 360 Adventures. Our guides were technically knowledgeable and also knew a lot about the area and its history. They took photos all morning and shared them after the tour - very nice since often they were positioned to take much better photos than us. The canyoneering was a fun mix of rappelling, hiking and climbing. It was beautiful day. We plan to go back in the spring when we can do the same thing in water!

It was my first time mountain biking in Sedona and I knew I had limited time in the area and didn't want to waste any time trying to figure where or what I could ride.

I have been running on this trail for some time. I really enjoy the views of the surrounding area when I run on it. The trail runs from Tempe Beach Park to Mesa Riverview. Along the way you pass by Sloan Park, ASU campus, Tempe Town Lake and Tempe Marketplace. It is perfect for running, walking, biking, inline or roller skating and dog walking. I usually jump on this pathway at Tempe Marketplace. There is a lot of parking nearby and it is near my home. You can also park at Tempe Town Lake and Mesa Riverview. There you can find restrooms if needed. This is a popular pathway. I always see lots of bike riders and college students running on it. I personally like to run on Rio Salado Pathway at night. You can connect to the Indian Bend Wash Path at the bicycle and pedestrian bridge near the Tempe Center for the Arts if you want to extend your trip. This route will take you into downtown Scottsdale. This pathway is sometimes called the Tempe Town Lake Trail.

The beginning of the trail connects with the Thash Kavid Loop Trail or Warpaint Loop Trail. It is usually called the Warpaint Loop because it is off Warpaint Drive. I came here with a friend and we did the loop trail portion of the hike. The Warpaint Loop trail is around 2-miles and easy to hike because there is no elevation. It is a popular area for hiking, mountain biking and running. Because it is in a desert region, proper precautions should be taken while hiking it during the warmer seasons. Dogs must be on a leash. The Corona de Loma Trail takes you through a diverse terrain with a combination of flat sections. Parking is on the side of the road.

There's a decent number of trails with varying degrees of difficulty for hikers and bikers. Most of the trails are fairly flat// little elevation change, so if you're a local and want to try hiking, this is a great start. Also good for visitors/tourists. Most popular trails are Desert Classic and Warpaint Loops. If you want climbing, try the Guadalupe Perimeter. Most of the trails can connect you to other trail systems in the park. Because of the fairly-flat nature of this trailhead system, it's great for star-gazing & observing sunrise/sunset. Fair warning though, some of the bigger desert critters (coyotes) will come out at night... I've heard them! The only downside of this trailhead are limited street parking and no bathrooms. Happy trails!

A few needed new tubes, one had a chain that kept falling off, one needed new tires, and one needed a full tune up, new seat and brakes fixed. I used to take our bikes down the road to a local bike shop but I felt like they were constantly needing repair and it was both expensive and time consuming to get them over there. But then I found Stay True Cyclery! I found them here on Yelp and decided to give them a call. Ray, the owner, was very easy to coordinate with and came with supplies to our home to fix the bikes. He was friendly and efficient and got our bikes up and running. One of the bikes had a deep valve and he had to order the tubes but he came the next week and installed them. It was an awesome experience! Before Ray, I didn't know I could have someone come to our house and get us all taken care of but now that I know, he will be our go to for life! I highly recommend Ray and Stay True and will tell all our friends and family about this awesome (and affordable) service! I hope you check him out too! Thank you, Ray! This trail is part of South Mountain Park and Preserve close to Tempe. I did check and see if they were open on Thanksgiving, and indeed they were. They were just closing a little earlier than usual. I arrived around 3:00 p.m. and didn't have any trouble parking in their small parking lot. The trail starts right by the parking lot. Mormon Trailhead is an intermediate hike. There are small portions of the hike where you have so climb (nothing crazy) and there is some incline and decline. If you're going at a decent pace, it will take you two hours or so to get through the loop. The highlight of this trail is Fat Man's Pass. There are also some cool rock formations to see. And of course, scenic views of Phoenix from your elevated vantage point. It's not an easy hike and not a difficult hike. I even saw two small kids on the trail, though I am unsure if they did it all. My hike ended up being a sunset hike. Always chasing sunsets! I believe they typically close at 8:00 p.m. but check their website to be sure. At a certain hour, they will close the front gate to not allow people on the trail too late. The exit is still open but there are spikes which prevent people from coming in using the exit but allows you to leave with your tires unharmed. Pro Tip: Download the AllTrails app. It helps you make sure you stay on track (as there are multiple trails in the area). One of the coolest things about Phoenix is the accessibility of nature. It's always a relaxing experience for me, being one with the outdoors. This has been one of my favorite hikes I've tried out so far in the area.
