In comes Melanie, who I happened to find by accident through a Yelp promo email. She had another shoot earlier in the day, but bc we were doing a later beach elopement ceremony and reception, she could do it! Signing the contract and working out all the details online and via email was easy. She sent me some paperwork to give her details and then we had a phone conversation to discuss and get to know one another. On the day of - she texted me, showed up exactly on time, and was a dream to work with. So friendly, so kind, so helpful. She went above and beyond for me and my family and was so easygoing. She posed us wonderfully and rolled with the punches when a few things didn't go as planned (it's a wedding, it's going to happen!). Absolutely professional. The photos we've been given so far as a preview are stunning and I can't wait to see the others. Everyone raved about how kind she was and how much they liked our photographer afterwards, and when we've sent a few photos, they've all been blown away. I feel lucky to have found Melanie, and her husband Chris, to shoot my day and would recommend her to anyone who asked me for any photos. If we need family portraits or special pics taken in the future, she's our girl!

My maternity pictures are STUNNING and I've never felt more beautiful or loved my body as much as I did then and it was my third pregnancy! My kids absolutely ADORED her and my 3.5 year old son remembers her as the lady who loved his dinosaur toys. I booked our fall pictures with her on my birthday for our second photography session with her! Those pictures are soooo good and my kids were so uncooperative! Melanie also was absolutely amazing with my kids that day too! I booked my daughters first birthday pictures and cake smash with her in June! That's right, you couldn't find one. It's cuz she's the BEST. EVERY. SINGLE. IMAGE is perfect. I've been amazed at how she is able to take totally crazy, newborn skin (bumpy, red, splotchy, acne, jaundice, you name it) and make it smooth and creamy- and it looks beautiful and natural. Soooo many photographers don't do this well. I see (too often) images of babies looking red/splotchy and uncomfortable, or the opposite happens and they look waaay over-photoshopped and plastic. Summer is an expert in every way. I look at a baby's face and take a photo with my iphone thinking "they are SO cute!!!!" then I see the photo and I think, "what happened???!!!" lol. She is able to bring out the beautiful serenity of the babies she photographs and also keeps the real and natural "feel" of it all. Her use of color and props is out of this world. You won't find a better planner, as she plans every detail. She makes every hair stay in place (sooo important to my OCD-ness) and is conscious of each little, tiny finger's placement of your baby. She'll take family photos if you beg her, and she makes the new Mommies look sooooo amazing and natural! It's seriously incredible. Here's the reason you are going to believe every word I say. He made suggestions on poses as well as letting us kinda do our own thing during the process, so a good balance. We had a Groupon, and he didn't treat us any differently than the other paying customers. We weren't pressured to buy anything additional, although we're most likely gonna purchase some extras. I must also say that we had an appnt at 1:15, but weren't seen until closer to 1:50. They said the least busy times are after 3/4 until they close, so if you're doing pictures with a child, I recommend waiting until later in the day so you don't have to worry about your baby getting fussy or a child getting hangry.

I call today because I was going to be 10 minutes late and I was told they only have a 5 minutes grace period and photo sessions only last 5 mins. Rip off and I won't be going back! Especially when the photographers don't even seem like professionals.
