No more of feeling like you are known, only like you are a number. Weeks before you can get in to see someone, let alone your primary. Pushing doctors that have just graduated and this is their first ever job. I was a patient with this practice for 33 years, this is the only practice my three children have gone to. Because of the poor replacement physicians and corporate practices we are no longer attending this facility. I would not recommend this practice to anyone.

We checked in with about 10 other people. Their process was streamlined and efficient. We were in a room in 1/2 hour. All personal were great but a special shout out to Dr. Smith. I have never seen a doctor with such wonderful manners and concern and compassion. He was funny and had my mom at ease immediately. We both loved him. He walked us to the exit door. Today, Dr. Simon examined my daughter, and I understand you need to get close to do an examination, but he had his legs spread and was so close to her on the chair that her knees were touching between his legs. He stayed like this even after the examination while he was talking to me, and this made me very uncomfortable. In hindsight, I wish I had asked him to move, but was just kind of waiting for him to and he never did until the very end of the appointment. The worst part, is that while he was in that position, he asked my daughter how she got sick. She explained that she thought she got it from her best friend, a girl in her class, and he said, "I know how you REALLY got it. From your boyfriend." And leaned in towards her face and made a bunch of kissing noises. I couldn't believe he would say this to a six-year-old girl. It was wildly inappropriate. Not to mention, he grabbed my hand while it was rested on my lap while explaining my daughter's treatment to me... Until now, this has been a truly wonderful practice. I've always been happy with the treatment my daughter has received, but this situation made me so uncomfortable that I'm switching to another provider immediately.

A bit over a year ago, I had planned to bring my child to a specific pediatrician in Lexington…read more Well, my baby was born a month earlier than expected, the day before I planned to visit the pediatrician. While at the hospital, I had to pick an on-call pediatrician from one of two places in Georgetown to come examine the baby. After having a sour experience with the other office, I choose Bluegrass Pediatrics. I met Dr. Knight that evening at Georgetown Hospital and liked him so much that we decided to stick with him at Bluegrass Pediatrics instead of the pediatrician in Lexington that I had originally planned to see. I'm glad we did. Dr. Knight has given us the best care, always listening to us -- even if he didn't agree with us. The staff members at Bluegrass Pediatrics itself are very friendly and polite. They are also quick to get us in for an appointment within the same or next day as needed.... and have a pediatrician available for phone calls when office hours are closed. The office may not be bright and flashy, but don't let that fool you. (They are also a family practice, it's not just for kids -- so your kids can go here for their entire lives!) There is also a separate sick and well area, although you have to walk through the sick area to get to the front desk/doctor anyway. Sadly, we are not currently patients at Bluegrass Pediatrics as of this month because of a change in insurance. It is a bit frustrating (especially as we had a medical need for our child recently), but it is what it is. I'm still thankful for the care my son received here. Highly recommend.

I also appreciate the business structure. I pay a monthly fee, and can see them as much or as little as I need without any additional fees.
