Black Brothers Painting

(1 review)

Black Brothers Painting used to be a top-not h company with meticulous painters. That was why I…read morechose them. I contacted Black Brothers painting in Harrisonburg, Virginia to paint the interior of my home that was built in September of 2024. The project overseer, Stacy Meyerhoffer, came out and estimated $5,500. to paint my house. It is a single level house with one bedroom and one sewing room, bathroom, laundry room, kitchen, and great room. I was not given a contract to sign. The project overseer came to my custom-built, disability accessible home. It is a single level house with one bedroom and one sewing room, bathroom, laundry room, kitchen, and great room. Two painters came to my house on Monday, and said it would take them all week. They were finished in three days. They attempted to paint my house, but the end result was h. I have hard-wood floors, which they dripped pain on in every room. The pain was not cut in correctl. The color change lines were bit straight anywhere. i had to hire a someone else to come behind them and correct the sloppy paint job the two painters had done. I have all custom woodwork in my kitchen and also in my bathroom. The two painters dripped paint on my custom woodwork. They used NO DROP CLOTHS. In my great room, the painters moved my cedar chest across the floor, making a very deep scratch that goes across 5 of the boards. I have stainless steel grab bars in my , at the shower. These painters did not even remove the shower grab bars and they painted around them and on them bathroom is a light green and mint green contrasted against stainless steel looks horrible. They did not paint the insides of my closets, whichI asked to be included. Outside, they dripped white paint on my custom hardwood deck and got it all over my water Spigot. In my bedroom, my bed is a Kin aid queen size pencil post bed. it has a sleep number adjustable base under it, which is very heavy and difficult to move. On the left side of the bed, there is a quarter inch scratch on the side rail. I also have a Howard Miller handmade grandmother clock in my living room made of mahogany wood. They even dripped white paint on this. They painted two of my three window curtains and I had to throw them away and order new curtains. They also painted, the black cables going from the side of my TV to a shelf that is on the wall. They painted the inside door of my sewing room yellow and the room is pink. The yellow is the laundry room. My laundry room they also did not paint the wall that had a shelf on it that I keep my hair products on. They took the one screw out of the wall and could not move it because it was stripped. They just left it there. When Stacey and the one painter came back, I showed him where they had scratched my floor. The painters spoke up and said ma'am, that was there. I sternly said no it was not. I built this house for myself, and I pay particular attention to everything that goes on inside my house, I know everything. Black Brothers painting used to have been the number one painting business in the Shenandoah valley. However, they have sold out. They have none of the previous experienced painters working for them. Apparently, they are concentrating on college dorm buildings and they no longer do custom interior work. I have included pictures of the unprofessional job they did. The owner returned my phone call to address the issue, and he was very rude and disrespectful. They ruined my house.
