I'd thought that experience was lacking here until we found Yellow Taxi Vintage on Laurel Street in Springfield. Here were the same thoughtfully presented items that represented days gone by. Days of style, studied composition and exotic fabrics. Things made when life seemed to move a little slower, and allowing real attention to details of each piece. As you enter this store you'll see a vast, colorful selection of items of all eras displayed with care and designed to give curious browsers a taste of images and unique clothing items and accessories to whisk you to a new look. There are clothes for every look, and since we are talking vintage, from times, designers, and of fabrics just not seen everyday. The one thing he said that was in error was my screen protector was replaceable free of charge at their store. I came back and that representative was no longer there. I said ok but since I was told this could something be done as a courtesy? Patti was called and said no. Ok, I paid the additional fee and the gentleman proceeded to my screen protector on. He left a finger print and two nail marks on my screen. I explained that this needs to a dressed and replaced. He called Patti again and again there is nothing she is willing to do there was no guarantee (dust is unacceptable but fingerprints are) she explains that she is out of town she can not inspect. This conversation went on for a few more moments. My issue is her unwillingness to make her customers whole (in regards to money spent and product provided). These issues were not at all due to me. This retailer took no accountability and her customer left with a poor experience. I do not recommend this establishment.

Terrible experience, racist employees…read more WARNING to any people of color: AVOID this business at all costs unless you want to be racially profiled and stared at for just existing. Visited Savannah for the holidays with my parents. We stopped to admire the beautiful facade of a building on Jones Street when the owner of this store took it upon himself to shoo me and my elderly father away. Funny, because right after he happily welcomed in two white women. Then, while taking a picture of my elderly mother on a public sidewalk, the owner continued to stare us down like we were filth under his shoe. Must have been our brown skin. Sorry our Filipino heritage is too much of a nuisance for you. Word of advice to these entitled store owners: Don't block a public pathway with your tacky furniture and then have the audacity to treat out-of-town visitors in such a hateful and demeaning way.
