We had called inquiring about his services and explained briefly over the phone what the problem was with our truck and that we wanted to have him take a look to see what could be done to fix it He was informative, explained his diagnostic fee, sent us an invoice via email and scheduled an appointment in just a few days. He also explained the diagnostic fee went towards any repair balance, which I thought was such a phenomenal thing!! His communication was completely thorough letting us know when he was nearby, and felt like throughout the entire process he constantly communicated with us next steps, status etc. Communication is a HUGE factor to me, in exceptions customer service because it keeps the consumer in the loop and establishes a firm amount of trust in someone doing a service for you. Prior to him coming out we provided over the phone make model VIN year and Donald explained he was going to do some analysis on the car prior to coming out to see usual car maintenance by this age of this vehicle etc. I have NEVER been asked that for any type of repair work, at any shop etc. The willingness to do research on this specific car, made me feel like he was customizing this experience just for us!! Who does that? We were already off to an amazing start!! Upon arrival to our home Donald was completely thorough, we explained what we experienced while driving the truck. He briefly discussed a few possible issues it could have , then jacked it up to take a look. He ordered the parts we agreed upon a return time and true to his word he returned and repaired our truck. We test drove it to ensure the issue was resolved and it was like there was never a issue in our truck to begin with I find it extremely hard to find auto mechanics to be honest and not charge an arm and leg for there services and I am so happy to have found Donald's services. He helped me out and taught me a few things: put antifreeze slowly and have your car running, turn on your A/C so that the antifreeze can circulate and gas the car a few times. He told me to keep the car running and the temperature of the car should go down. Phew! He checked it and the temperature went down! Such a blessing and very honest person! Besides working on boats, he also works on automobiles. Very hospitable, honest and truly a humble and kind person! How ever this is about an ongoing problem I am dealing with since the installation of my Yanmar 4LV 250 Diesel with ZT 370 out drive. On the first sea trial I was told that the engine has noise and vibration at idle, I accepted that and proceeded with the sea trial noticing that the engine has noise and vibration when turning left but the noise and vibration is non existent when going straight or turning right. As I have gotten familiar with the engine and drive I've noticed that the rough idle and noise / vibration are very different things that only occur when turning left in forward or reverse at low rpm. I had 2 separate sea trials. First sea trial with Colleen confirmed there is an alignment issue. I took the boat to their shop on a Friday and was called a few hours later to pick up the boat. No work was performed to check the alignment, they purged the power steering pump which had no affect on the noise and vibration and they adjusted the engine height at the motor mounts. I was told when picking up the boat that there is no way the alignment could be a problem as engine and drive bolt up together. If there is no possibility of an alignment problem why does Yanmar recommend having the alignment checked annually and at every 100 hours? Second sea trial with Paul, confirmed there is noise and vibration only when turning left at and above idle. He called the technical support manager at Boatswains locker and explained to me that the noise and vibration is from gear chatter because the amount of torque engine produces. BS. I spoke to the Tech support manager and confirmed that it is an alignment problem. Gear noise would occur if the boat is out of the water with engine running because there is no load on the propeller and gear train. I have also spoken to another Yanmar dealer that confirmed that it is an alignment problem that needs to be addressed by the company that installed the engine. As of 8/29/2025 nothing has been resolved, they will discuss the problem with Boatswains locker and get back to me. Hopefully sooner than later. Like Johann G, I'm waiting for a call from Tyler to see what their plan of action is. And I have the invoice that is billed for their first sea trial and engine alignment that never happened. Up date coming as soon as I hear something. P.S. Engine is quieter, more fuel efficient and powerful than my old Volvo 230 hp and the drive with counter rotating props has much better response than the 290Dp drive.

My mom said she doesn't remember the last time she felt so relaxed. I was holding my nine-month-old daughter the whole time and I felt very safe and comfortable posted up on the shaded second level of the boat. I felt sea sick for the first half an hour or so of the trip, but Tony was so careful and accommodating, it went away. Anyway. Captain Tony was able to locate some fertile fishing grounds and we had countless hookups. The boat is large and kid friendly. Called Precision Fabrication and spoke to Aaron regarding a stripped O2 sensor bung on my exhaust…read moremanifold that I needed to have replaced. Aaron was very professional, polite and easy to talk to. He proposed a couple different options to replace the bung, 1) a cheap & easy way or 2) a more expensive & harder way. I went with option 2 because although more expensive it was still reasonably priced. Dropped off the exhaust manifold on Tuesday morning, he said it would be ready for pick up on Wednesday morning. Tuesday afternoon I receive a text from Aaron saying that he was able to re-tap the damaged threads on the original bung and the exhaust was ready for pick up. He charged me a fraction of the price we discussed. He could have made a nice "chuck of change" if he replaced the bung but instead he rethreaded it and saved me a lot of money. Who does that in the day & age of looking out for "number one"? Someone with integrity, that's who. It was a pleasure doing business with Aaron.
