I was excited to find this business was right down the road from my house, and they had quality…read moreworkmanship for a gate that my property needed. I love supporting local businesses. They were able to schedule installation in a reasonable amount of time for what we needed, and finally the gate was installed. It met our specifications, and the workmanship was as promised. However, three days after installation, the problems started. For some reason, the mechanism must be faulty, or the wiring/electric was not properly done, and the solar panel attached to the gate mechanism has not charged the batteries since installation. Within three days of installation, the batteries for the solar powered mechanism were dead. We called and called and finally someone came to pick up the batteries and see what was wrong. We thought they did some troubleshooting, but apparently did not. That was over two months ago, and repeated scheduling to have them come back and reinstall the batteries, and/or troubleshoot has been nothing but empty promises. They say they will come the next day, and then they don't; rinse and repeat... for the last two months. I was even given the excuse that they made a mistake in scheduling because they had a state contract on a day they had promised to come. (State contracts and procurement processes with the state take months if not years to bid on and manifest...) I am not buying the excuse that it was a mistake about scheduling around that.... Every time they schedule, they never show up. There have been at least 10 to 20 of those specific instances. They do a nice job, but don't hold your breath that they will follow up and assist with anything after installation. Would not recommend because of the failure in customer service, failure in communication, and failure and follow through. This is a very unprofessional business, and I would avoid them at all costs. At this point, I am requesting a full refund and will be taking them to court if I don't get it back.

He was not qualified to take on a job that includes things like installing an electric gate opener. The gates structural welds have numerous pinholes and will likely fail. He didn't prep or primer the metal, so the paint started peeling within a WEEK! The gate-opener was mis-installed out of spec and fails a few times a week. We raised these and other issue Wayne,but the problems were not addressed. But it gets worse. Before the first job was done, we paid Shima a $5k deposit for the the second one; and he cajoled us into paying the balance on the first job before completion (something that I later discovered, is illegal in HI.) so that he "could make payroll this week". Since we were already in the middle of an ongoing business relationship, we foolishly agreed. Auwe! Soon after the $5,000. check cleared, Wayne ghosted us, leaving even the first job incomplete. We spent months, sending emails, voice mail, text and phone calls, begging him & co-conspirator/daughter/"office manager" Chaz to at least speak to us, but no response. Since then, We've discovered other victims, who had similar experiences as recently as a few months ago. Shima IMO has demonstrated a pattern of defrauding clients, especially senior citizens. Secondly, this is considered a small job so making an appointment takes forever. Mike responded immediately. He came out when he was supposed to, and rewelded my hinges in no time.
