The insurance company refused to pay the difference without documentation. They were never able to explain/document the increase to the insurance company's satisfaction. Their measurements, for instance was one of the things the insurance company cited because they didn't "back out the space for the chimney" and amount of materials never lined up with the insurance company's estimate. It was a huge mess going back and forth with them and the insurance company. As a result, I ended up paying the difference. I have full replacement coverage and I wasn't supposed to pay anything out of pocket, but it didn't work out that way. The insurance company was never able to get satisfactory documentation and they finally closed the claim.

It took the subcontractor 5 weeks to finish the siding job and we have lost siding at least 6 different occasions. They did provide an 8 year warranty. Yes I said 8 that is not a typo. But after the third time we lost siding Gary Handy blew off our request for repair, Erik Salazar finally sent someone out to make the repair. All in all we have had siding come off in the same spots a total of 6 times. Replaced aluminum siding with vinyl siding and their salesman, Preston said it would hold up better than the aluminum. Now that we are demanding they make a permanent fix Mike from the Yukon office all of a sudden is saying they don't know anything about siding. I give them one star because it is mandatory.

He helped us navigate pushback we received from the insurance company and really stayed on them to help us get as much as we could toward the replacement cost. He was patient, flexible, and honest. It took (maybe) a full two minutes for them to take my information and an additional 20 seconds for my vehicle to get weighed during my first visit. My second visit took under a microscope minute. The longest portion of my interaction was paying. That was my fault. They do not take credit cards and I did not have exact change. I think I added on a full ten seconds there. I wish other businesses were as fast and friendly. Why? Because, as a service member I only get to visit this established during one portion of my assignment. If you are not a service member and have business to conduct, T & G Construction deserves your consideration.

You did replace the roof, but your new roof leaked after the first heavy rain. It took close to three weeks to get you out here for emergency repairs. Meanwhile, my kitchen flooded three separate times. You've replaced my rain gutters, and I'm satisfied with that. Still, I'm waiting on various other repairs, with no end in sight. I'm terribly frustrated at your ridiculous slowness, and I'm furious that it was like pulling eye teeth getting the leak in the BRAND NEW roof repaired. Karsten is a nice enough guy, but he's non communicative. I'm left for weeks on end without hearing from him and wondering what the heck is going on One (of several) remaining issues is replacing an outdoor floodlight outside my garage door. I had (and still have) a replacement fixture at the time of the storm. Someone needs to install it, along with 4 other fixtures that I have bought and would like to hire someone to install. I've been waiting a year with a broken security light. You'll never convince me that electricians are in short supply. Why the one year long delay? Heck, anyone can wire a black, white, and bare copper wire. Any handyman could do it. If you still want this part of the job scope, get someone out soon to do the work. If you're not interested, I'm sure I can find someone within a week who actually wants to earn money. I need to find someone to install a ceiling fan for me anyway, I can simply get them to do the lights also. A full year, and maybe half the work has been done. I understand you're a general contractor and can do all sorts of outdoor work. I'm retired living in my forever home and I have several outdoor projects (storage shed, etc.) and, had you done anything other than anger me, I'd have a few thousand dollars more business to send your way. I'm a retired salesman and I always valued loyalty with my customers. I learned that if I treated them well, I didn't have to be the low bidder. I'm slow to change providers and seldom do so. I only price shop to the point that I'm sure there's no price gouging going on. Bottom line: You have provided the worst service I've ever received.
