In the past 6 months I've developed a bunch of food allergies and sensitivities. If you've ever…read moreread any of my reviews, you know dessert is my favorite, so facing a birthday without being able to have cake or cookies as a result of needing to avoid dairy and wheat was daunting to say the least. Enter Chubby Bunny, a bakery catering to those with food challenges. What I love about this place is that they aren't just trying to make a version of something you've already had that might taste sort of like it, they're creating their own deliciousness and unique recipes that hold their own against any sweet I've had. The store itself is quaint and cute in the heart of downtown Hamilton. Inside, I was met with SO many options of things to try. I settled on a strawberry frosted chocolate brownie (incredibly decadent and the icing is so creamy and just sweet enough without being overly so), iced sugar cookie (dense and shortbread like, just the way I like it) and a salted chocolate chip cookie (probably my least favorite, but still a quality cookie). The staff is very friendly and eager to explain anything you need to know about ingredients or potential allergens. They also make custom cakes and cookies!

Looking at their display of baked goods was mouthwatering. I decided on the chocolate raspberry cupcake. The chocolate cupcake was very rich, decadent, and moist. I was surprised by the hint of raspberry filling on the inside but taking a bite and getting a taste of the chocolate cupcake, icing, and raspberry on top all at once was well blended and a definite treat for my senses. I would not have guessed it was vegan. My son picked the chocolate chip cookie and the chocolate chip cookie sandwich. He said he enjoyed both. I will be back to try other delectable treats.

I think everything we bought today had sugar as it's largest ingredient! The traffic related to my pic of the Rowdy Roddy Piper soda is a little crazy...so I updated with a pic intended to address post-World Cup concerns. Eating wings dipped in Ranch is very dangerous while driving...stop by and grab this pairing to keep your car between the ditches!

I was in Cincinnati in late August 2026 for a short weekend trip and I came to Jungle Jim's on a Saturday morning. I arrived around 10:45am and the store was already busy. The store is huge and it will take over 2 hours to fully look at everything. I spent about an hour and 20 mins inside with my friend. I browsed the African and Asian sections plus other sections such as the candy aisle. A concerning thing and the reason for my 3 star review is at the South African aisle, I noticed that a few of the Crunchie Chocolates that I looked at were expired. This probably means that all of them in that section, over 2 boxes worth, are expired. This isn't good at all because some customers probably don't check expiration dates like I do so they may buy expired chocolates. I bought mostly snacks - 2 Malta drinks (a popular barley drink in West Africa), a Malta drink from Ukraine or Russia that my Ukrainian friend recommended, some Asian gummy candies, a big bag of toilet paper, chomp sticks, and a few more items. While the store is a fun experience, the extremely large inventory may cause the store to overlook expired and perhaps spoilt items which can lead to a disappointed customer. **** GOAL of 250 reviews in 2026 - 173/250 total reviews in 2026 - 1014 total Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 31 August 2026
