Not only does she provide such a wonderful service but she is extremely personable and genuine. I have strawberry blonde hair and very light eyelashes, she brings them back to life in only 15 minutes... and my tint lasted almost 3 months last time, no joke! Wow. Just wow. Navkirin is just incredible. I live just a block away and wanted to give this local spot a try. I went in with mediocre expectations and left positively **blown away***. I'm new-ish to the magical world of eyebrow threading, and my normal spot is $10.00. And that $10.00 gets you a "lie down. hold your eyelid down. okay you're done." and the quality of that work shows. Not that I knew that until yesterday. I walked in and Navkirin and her daughter greeted me as though they'd known me my whole life and hadn't seen me in ages ("Good morning!! Oh my gosh how are you!?") I felt right at home. We went over their services list and I chose the Divine Brows ($22.00) service. I got to lay down in the comfiest chair ever, complete with plush throw pillows, and Navkirin gave me an eyebrow consultation. She drew around my brow what my natural shape and ideal arch should be, and then gave me a mirror to get my approval. I couldn't deny it, she was bang on - shifting my arch the slightest and enhancing it made my face look 22 instead of 26. So on we went, threading away, with her checking on me every several minutes to see if I was okay or if I needed a break. Following that I got the most epic little face and eyebrow massage, all the way down to my neck. By this point I'm a straight up puddle in her chair. Then she finished it all off with doing my eyebrow makeup, and touching up the red spots from the threading. The look was a bit different than what I was used to (read: actual fuller brows) but my inner-Audrey Hepburn swooned and I loved it. Even my husband, who isn't a fan of thick brows loved it. On the advice of my fellow Yelpers, I decided to give this place a go. Usually, I drive to one of the stores on Fraser Street for my threading, but it was raining and I was too lazy. I have to say, I am just as impressed as everyone else with respect to Navkirin and her skills. She took the time to analyze my face shape and my eyebrow shape. She then took a white pencil and showed me how my brows should be. After shaping one brow, she stopped and showed me what she was doing in a handheld mirror. What a difference! She evened out my brows, and put in a bit of make up to fill in some holes. I'm going to try to grow them back in under her guidance. After she was done, she took some rose scented lotion (I had a choice between rose and aloe) and gave me a brow massage. Given the bad day I had yesterday, it was very much appreciated! At $22, it is a lot more expensive than the no-frills places I had been going to. But honestly, I think it's worth it. She really takes the time to do a thorough job. Parking outside on the street was super easy. The shop itself was clean and bright. Highly recommended. read more

Here were some of the services I experienced at 4 Angels: Brow Threading ($22) - This is a three-part service: brow consultation, brow massage (with rosewater or aloe vera gel) and brow makeup. Piece of Heaven ($10) - If there's any other unwanted hair on your face, they'll take it off for you. Illu-Mini Facial ($30) - Utilizing France Laure skincare products, this facial consists of both a peel and mask leaving my skin ultra-moisturized and ready to face the winter cold. Even after spending 20 minutes walking home from my appointment in the cold, my face still feels moisturized and protected from the elements. Indian Head Massage ($35) - This was a heavenly experience and one I would return to 4 Angels for as I couldn't find many other places in the city who offer something similar. There are lots of benefits to relaxing with a head massage including improved blood circulation to the brain, promoting hair growth and stress relief. Only downside is that your scalp gets quite greasy from the oil used in the massage, so plan to wash your hair after leaving the salon. All of the above services took place in a public setting, in the chairs at the salon. Having had my brows threaded in a similar environment before, I was use to this sort of public beauty service. When you're in a salon for women, all coming in for the same services, there's no need for modesty or privacy. Just close your eyes and get taken care of. However, it can be uncomfortable because the lights are all on, and every time another customer arrives in the salon or the phone rings it can be disturbing. read more

My appointment started off with the Illu-mini facial, in which my face was cleansed, exfoliated, and then treated with a masque. It was followed by a hot towel to remove the masque, a serum application, and a massage. For someone with sensitive skin, I am cautious about using products that contain too many chemicals that may potentially irritate my skin. Although the France Laure products were scented, they were gentle enough for my face. The fragrances of the products were refreshing, as they were either floral or citrus scented. After my facial, I remained in my chair and received the Indian Head Massage treatment. Somewhere along the way, I fell asleep, and I woke up to two smiling ladies who asked if I had enjoyed everything. Aside from feeling slightly embarrassed, I felt surprisingly refreshed afterwards. That night, I slept well and even woke up the next morning without hitting the snooze button like I usually do. I would totally recommend this treatment to those who are looking to improve their mental alertness, blood circulation, and treat their insomnia. Oh, and not to mention your hair will get a fabulous shine from the natural oils. Just a tip: Be prepared to leave the spa with an oily scalp, so it's a good idea to go straight home. The oil application is quite generous, so if you do have plans right after, be prepared to look as if you have not washed your hair in over 2 weeks. These two services are worth $65, so it's a very affordable deal considering I was in there for close to 90 minutes. I'll definitely go back for the Indian Head Massage as I tend to be a light sleeper, but I'll make sure to not wash my hair the morning before my appointment. read more

Nav is by far the best ever. I have never found anyone one better for my eyebrows than her. She makes sure you leave with your eyebrows absolutely perfect. I consider her to be an eyebrow consultant. Found this place when looking for Indian head massage and decided to try. BEST DECISION EVER. Also got my brows and upper lip done and they are so perfect. Shaped wonderfully and they are even helping me grow in a little bald spot, which none of other threading places did. And as for the head massage - heaven. So relaxing. Warning though, they do rub oil in your hair (I prefer coconut) so don't get it done if you aren't willing to have your hair messy until you can shampoo it out. If you can stand it, leave oil in for a few hours. Makes your hair wonderfully soft for days (added bonus). This place is a real gem and staff so very nice. Recommended highly. read more

I visited this business for the first time on Saturday. From the time I walked in I was impressed. The owner Nav greeted me warmly and handed me a service menu to look over while I waited. I have to say the owner is very very sweet. The music was playing softly and the whole place had a very warm and comforting vibe. The girl who provided my service (Kulvinder) was very professional. She went over everything with me before she started. She was very through and talked with me en-depth about how I wanted my eyebrows to be shaped. After she was done she gave me a wonderful massage. I decided to try out 4 Angels because Yelp told me to, and all the positive reviews here were right! Even though I swore I was done with Vancouver's many cheap eyebrow places I went once again. And surprise, surprise, my eyebrows were overdone and didn't match! Luckily I was able to make an appointment for the next day at 4 Angels. I was kind of skeptical that anything could really be done about my poor eyebrows, but after a consultation, which included having everything drawn in for 'inspection' first I was feeling a lot better. I'm used to places where the aesthetician just decides for you! My eyebrows turned out beautifully and the owners were so warm and caring. It was a great experience. Oh! And, biggest revelation: it didn't hurt! I thought threading always had to hurt. You don't know how wrong you are till you do it right! More than I usually pay, worth every penny. I started going to Nav about a year ago, my experience with her is always pleasant and professional. I don't have a very natural shape to my brows but after a few visits Nav transformed them to exactly what I wanted. I now have the thick brows I always wanted and get many complements on them. She creates a great shape while drawing out what she wants to do with them. She tints and then threads them. To make sure I get the great shape I want, she will go back and tint the arched areas to make them look even better. Nav will then finish the treatment with a relaxing facial massage and offer a touch up if you wish. Nav is a perfectionist and truly skilled at what she does. I would recommend her to everyone and have, as all my friends go to her too. Her pricing is fair and very much value for money. I was just visiting the Vancouver area but really needed my eyebrows done. I went here based on other reviews and was so happy I did. Everyone is right, they take their time and do an excellent job. I needed my brows reshaped and fixed and the woman did just that. I don't think they've ever been done this good and I have been getting them threaded for years. I love how they used the white to draw them out first and then the massage afterwards was amazing. The woman, I forget her name, was so friendly and nice but also very efficient and professional. My kids came in at the end and both the women working there were so nice to them, my 3 yr old was hugging them and stuff. I echo the sentiment of so many people about 4 Angels. These ladies know what they are doing! For years I tried various different places and tactics, threading, waxing, tweazing. My eyebrows were becoming thinner and more hopeless each visit. The last straw was when I walked into a place on Main to get threaded (very popular place, had to wait in line for a long time) and I walked out with 3 eybrows! She actually threaded a completely bare spot right through one of my eyebrows. After letting them grow wild into crazy old man brows I researched yelp and came upon 4 Angels. Awesome is not even too strong of a word. Kulwinder is my gal and she is so sweet and caring, constantly checking in with me to see how I am doing and if I am OK with what is going on. A little bit more expensive than your typical threading place but sooo worth it! I have been going there now for six months, never touching my brows in between visits and my eyebrows are now officially the bomb! I bought a groupon for this place after I checked the reviews here on Yelp and they were super positive. I really wanted my eyebrows done for a long time because they were different shapes and sort of looked like fuzzy caterpillars but I was nervous that I would stumble into the wrong place and get them thinned down so much it would look even worse than before. Today I came in with pretty high expectations due to the reputation this place has on Yelp, and I was definitely not disappointed. The place had a really comfy feel to it, the chairs were super comfy with pillows and cushions and there was serene music playing in the background. I had no trouble feeling at ease there. Navkiran was the most gentle and humble person ever. When I came in she made sure I was comfortable by offering me water, taking my coat, frequently asking me if I was ok etc. Since I told her this was my first time not only here, but getting my eyebrows done period, she reassured me that we would talk about what I wanted for my brows before she did anything. She also frequently asked how I was doing while she was threading my brows. The package I got on groupon allowed me a lip threading, brow threading, brow tinting, a lash tinting (which I didn't end up doing cause my lashes were already black and it wouldn't really have made too much of a difference). After my brows were done I received the most relaxing brow and scalp massage as well as a hand and arm massage. I was super happy about my brows, and she constantly was so humble, saying thank you over and over again. I am super happy with my new brows!! They are finally the same shape and they are neater than I have ever had them in my life. How have I waited so long to get them done?? I'm never not getting them done again. After my appointment I even got a voucher for $10 off my next service! I'm sold on this place! The only downside is that it's quite pricey without a groupon, $22 for a standard threading. However I felt pretty pampered and had total faith that my eyebrows were not going to get ruined so I guess it depends what you go for.
