Over time, I experienced difficulty with one sitter in consistently following those instructions and adapting to changes. When I raised a concern to the owner, Melissa, the client relationship was ended without an opportunity for discussion or review of my experience, or consideration of assigning a different sitter. I was told this was the first concern they had received from me, which suggests there was no process in place to identify or address developing issues before they reached that point. To be clear, the sitter was kind to my cats, and I do believe she cared about them. However, care alone is not sufficient when instructions are not consistently followed or when there is limited ability to adjust routines as needed.
