While they were nice people, they were out of their comfort zone with horses and chickens. Tammy is afraid of birds BTW. It all turned out ok and no horse colic ed or died but it wasn't worth the $ having sub standard care. They are obviously dog people. Also when I called due to an over charge error Tammy got mad and yelled at me and hung up on me. Will not recommend.

She listens to everything he says to her through his body language, and she is able to intuitively understand his needs or preferences. This is the exact kind of person I want watching my animals while I am away, because I know that they understand and respect animal behavior. From the very beginning of the process, Ray was incredible to me and my animals. She was very thorough in getting to understand my animals needs before I ever even left. She asked a lot of questions that helped me feel very secure that she had my animals true best interests at heart. The entire time I was gone, I received consistent and detailed updates from Ray, and this was so amazing for me !! I've had pet sitters give updates, but Ray literally sends videos, pictures, and stories of things that happened, in addition to the basic updates. I called a couple other shelters/rescues prior to contacting this company. They were not friendly…read moreand seemed like I was an inconvenience asking questions. So I saw a dog on the animal league of green valley website and called to communicate about it. They were very nice on the phone and their recommendation was to come during their open hours. Which I did. Gregory was the volunteer that worked with me to meet lots of dogs. He was nice and professional. They treat the dogs well and it looks good from that perspective. Yes they ask a lot of questions but I don't see that as a problem. They want the dogs to go to proper owners, when a dog goes to a good home they are less likely to return. Wow they don't want the dog to be off leash... cause we have coyotes that will eat that dog. Hello. And I train my dogs very well and never let them off leash. They spay/neuter, give shots and start to try to train them. The welcome bag was some food, toys, a blanket, leash, and collar. Amazing experience, when I am ready for another( hopefully not a long time) id go there again. And I live in Tucson, worth the drive.
