We found Camino Verde Pet Resort 2 - 3 years ago. The kennel we had used for years closed during the pandemic, and I was beginning to think I was never going to find another kennel where I felt comfortable boarding our two dogs. We adopted the dogs from a local rescue group, and while they are generally well-behaved, they have a few personality quirks as a result of mistreatment before they were removed from their original home. In particular, one dog has a tendency to be a little fear aggressive, and they are both a little slow to adapt to new situations. I thus was looking for a kennel staffed by people who understand dogs and are willing to be patient while the dogs work through the process of settling in to a new situation. It seemed like every kennel I looked at had at least one or two horror story reviews of dogs being seriously injured, lost, and even a few where the dog died while being boarded. When I read Camino Verde's reviews, however, the worst thing I saw was that some people were quite upset that their dog came home with fleas. Well, duh, that is going to happen when your dog is in close quarters with other dogs and you haven't used any flea and tick preventative. Before we boarded our dogs the first time, we went and visited the kennel, and we were very impressed with what we saw. All the dogs seemed happy, well-cared for, and had plenty of fresh water. All the cages were clean. We have boarded our dogs at Camino Verde a number of times over the past 2 -3 years, and the dogs have always been happy and well-adjusted when we pick them up. I highly recommend this kennel. The staff have been great about dealing with our dogs, and their online reservation system is very user friendly. read more

When we first brought "Buddy", our older "Rescue" dog of several years to Camino Verde Pet Resort for his initial Grooming Session, we were apprehensive as to the outcome. Buddy is an older (approximately 7/8 plus years of age) mixed breed dog. He typically does not do well with family and friends we don't see very often. as he tends to be a very "private", and "reserved" pet. What a great surprise! The Groomer was able to Bath, Groom, Clip his nails & have him in outstanding appearance when we picked him up later that afternoon. She mentioned that although he was "uneasy" when she first began the process, she was able to "alleviate" his apprehension and accomplish the grooming process to our and his satisfaction, w/o his becoming "stressed out". They are con artist they will talk to you very polite and sweet just to try to empty your wallet or your bank account I bought a dog from them that I could not keep any longer I told them if they wanted to sell it for me because I bought it from them they said sure all and I told him all I want is $500 and he said okay just leave it here I won't charge you well a big hits it didn't happen today where I had to call the sheriff's department so they could surrender my dog they were asking for $400 and some dollars saying well they're going to charge me boarding fee so the owner on dress said go ahead just pay $200 so be very careful with these people I'm telling you I've known him for many years and I have never ever thought they were this way until today and to top it off he already had a buyer for it he was selling it for $6,400 can you believe that now would you say that is a rip off or not plus when I bought the dog they made money off me too. I have never left my cat at a cat hotel before and was very nervous. Andres was so kind and reassured me that she would be fine. He was very flexible and followed all the directions I left with him. He followed up with updates and kept her pen clean. I was running late to pick her up and he waited for me to get there even though it was after hours because he knew how anxious I was to see her. The owner is pleasant and friendly, with a good sense of humor. I could tell he's a peaceful animal person, and he fully inspired our confidence in leaving our kitty in his care. The cat condos are attractively decorated and roomy, with nice windows, and viewing screens between the units, and into the main room. We will gladly bring our kitty here again. read more

Really bad groomer PERIOD. Was told the woman had 40 years experience, obviously that's a lie. Bad shampoo left on my dogs, bad cuts/ shaved. Whatever you do don't use these people especially if you have designer dogs. read more

Tamara Hall did an excellent job grooming our two Aussies. Chloe, our heavy set girl, can be a challenge. Tamara was clever, and figured out a way to keep Chloe on her feet to be groomed properly. They looked beautiful, and smelled great when we picked them up. The price was great too! We're very happy to have a groomer close by. read more

We've used Camino Verde Pet Resort for grooming and boarding of our two dogs. One is an 11 pound Maltipoo and the other is a 166 pound Kuvasz. Both dogs always come out looking great. Our bigger dog isn't friendly so we were initially very concerned about taking him to be groomed. I was amazed at how much he loves going. They are absolutely dog people and know how to handle them! We recently had to go out of town and were concerned about boarding the dogs, especially the bigger one. Turns out we had nothing to worry about. We were emailed tons of pictures and even a short video clip. That helped with our anxiety at boarding the dogs. The little one even came home with better manners. The folks at this location have taken very good care of my furry kids on three different occasions and one time the female pooch needed to take medication and had an ear infection and they not only looked after them for 5 days, but also gave her the meds and treatments. It seems a like a nice safe place to kennel your pooch. They have both indoor and outdoor housing and they kept them together, since they have grown up as puppies. The best groom our two dogs have had thus far in Tucson. Evenly cut coats (no obvious lines separating head from body) and nails trimmed reasonably short. Quick, it took less than 4 hours for a full groom of both a large and medium dog. More expensive than our Pinetop groomer, but their prices are comparable to other Tucson groomers. read more

They are the best groomers that I have found in Tucson. They are so good that I drive from grant and alvernon to take my dogs there. Camino Verde Pet Resort is DEFINITELY the place to go ! I had an emergency I needed to leave town immediately, and had no one to watch my baby. The owner Andreas was so amazing and helpful and took my puppy at last minute. On top of him being so accommodating they also offered 10% off grooming when you're already boarding which was GREAT, even tho the grooming prices are already good. And let me tell you, when i picked my baby up she looked BEAUTIFUL, i was such in shock. Marla their groomer did a FANTASTIC job. She is the sweetest lady, and definitely knows what shes doing when it comes to the dogs hair cuts! I will NEVER again take my baby any place to board or get groomed EVER again.
